Event décor companies · Other

Be the décor company a family shortlists after one look at your last mandap.

A bride's mother forwards four photos on WhatsApp at eleven at night and writes, "Something like this, but with white and gold, for 600 people." You open the files, see three different designers' work, and have to guess the budget from a mandap and a ceiling drape. By morning the same photos have gone to two other décor companies.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

Realistic editorial illustration of event management companies at work in India

In one paragraph

Marketing puts your flowers, stage, lighting and theme work in front of the families, planners and companies choosing a look for a date. Sales turns a Pinterest picture sent on WhatsApp into a costed design, an advance and a cleared venue. GullySales prepares the portfolio pages and the follow-up record behind both.

Many enquiries are lost in the first reply. The ones that are held answer with a mood board from the same kind of venue, a clear list of what is included, and a visit date for the hall. Then they keep following up, because a family takes weeks to decide and the planner, the venue and the photographer all have an opinion.

How buyers decide

How event décor companies are chosen.

For weddings, the family finds two or three décor names through the planner, the venue manager or a relative's function. They then look at Instagram and Google photos, compare the first quotes, and ask to see the actual hall layout. A picture of a finished event that looks like their own venue counts for more than any promise about quality.

For corporate events, product launches and school or society functions, the buyer is an admin head, marketing executive or event manager working to a budget someone else approved. They want a design sketch, a clear price for installation and dismantling, and proof that the crew finishes before the hall's next booking. Planners who bring décor in as a sub-vendor choose on reliability and margin as much as on taste.

The problem

What usually goes wrong for event décor companies.

What owners tell us on the first call, in their words.

  • “Photos go out, then nothing comes back”

A family asks for a quote, you send a PDF, and they disappear. Nobody on your side asked what the date was or what the budget range was, so there is nothing to follow up on.

  • “Our best work is on one phone”

The mandaps and stages that would win the next enquiry sit in a team member's gallery. The Instagram page has a few reels and no way to tell a haldi set from a corporate backdrop.

  • “Planners shortlist us and then send the job to someone cheaper”

The planner takes our design idea, shows it to another vendor and asks for a lower price. We hear about it when the event is already booked.

  • “Peak-date enquiries arrive in a rush”

In the muhurat months the phone does not stop. Quotes go out late, a date gets promised twice, and the follow-up is the first thing dropped.

  • “Clients compare us on the rupee total only”

Two quotes for the same stage look similar until one uses fresh flowers and the other uses artificial ones. Our quote never explains what the other forgets to include.

  • “Reviews and referrals are never asked for”

Happy families thank the crew at the end of the night. Nobody sends the link to leave a Google review afterwards, so the next enquiry sees a thin profile.

What we do

What we do for event décor companies.

Everything included for event décor companies.

  1. A portfolio page for each kind of event

Wedding, reception, birthday and corporate work are separated, with photos tagged by venue, theme and guest count so a family sees a setting close to their own.

  2. A one-page quote format

A standard layout that lists the structure, flowers, lighting, props, labour, transport and dismantling, with what is not included written plainly.

  3. A WhatsApp enquiry flow

Set questions for date, venue, guest count and budget range, with a saved reply that carries your portfolio and a request to see the hall.

  4. Venue and planner relationship lists

A tracked list of halls and planners where you have worked, who handled the booking and when each last sent you a lead.

  5. A date and follow-up board

A shared record of every enquiry, the event date, the quote sent and the next call, so nothing sits unanswered during peak months.

  6. Review requests after each event

A short thank-you to the client or planner with the Google link, drafted so the crew lead can send it from the venue once the set is cleared.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries by source, such as Instagram, Google, planner and venue
  • Quotes sent against events booked
  • WhatsApp enquiries answered with a date and venue question
  • Planner and venue referrals received
  • Google reviews added after events
  • Repeat and corporate orders from past clients

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Worth a page and a campaign of their own

Wedding mandap and stage décor · Floral decoration and entrance themes · Haldi, mehendi and sangeet set-ups · Reception and cocktail night décor · Birthday, baby shower and anniversary themes · Corporate launch and annual day décor · Venue and ceiling draping · Festival and temple décor · Rental props, backdrops and photo booths

Priority campaigns

Campaigns for what event décor companies most want to sell.

Each one planned around when your buyers decide, and measured against the baseline.

  • Muhurat-season search campaign

Google search ads and a landing page for wedding décor in your city, switched on before the auspicious months and tied to a quote request form.

  • Instagram portfolio series by venue

Posts and reels grouped by hall and by theme, so each venue's local audience can see what you built in a space they know.

  • Planner partnership outreach

A short deck and sample sets sent to planners and venue managers, offering a fixed referral understanding that you agree in writing with each.

  • Festival and corporate year-end push

Messages to past corporate clients and housing societies before Diwali, Christmas and year-end parties, with two or three ready themes.

Beyond search

Where we reach buyers of event décor companies, beyond Google.

Search matters, but it is rarely the only way this industry's buyers find a supplier.

  • Wedding planners and event managers

Planners who buy décor as a sub-vendor are listed by city, with an introduction built from sets you have already made for planners like them.

  • Wedding venues and banquet halls

A venue manager is asked for décor names at every site visit. The outreach carries photos of your work in that manager's own hall.

  • Families searching for a theme

A family hunting for a pastel mandap or a floral entrance searches and scrolls before it calls a planner. Google Business Profile, search ads and Instagram carry your themed sets to that search.

  • Corporate admin and marketing teams

Marketing and admin heads who book a launch backdrop or an annual-day set are shortlisted by company, each with a first message that names the event they run.

Who it is for

This is written for these event décor companies.

  • Wedding décor and mandap specialists
  • Floral decoration studios working with fresh flowers
  • Theme and concept décor companies for birthdays and baby showers
  • Corporate event and product launch décor teams
  • Entrance gate, aisle and pathway decoration firms
  • Lighting-led décor companies for sangeet and reception nights
  • Festival and temple décor teams for Ganesh Chaturthi, Navaratri and Diwali
  • Décor sub-vendors who supply planners and venues

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

How the work runs for event décor companies

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Read the last season

Past enquiries, quotes sent and events won are laid out with the source of each lead, including the ones that went quiet.

  2. 2

    Sort the work into pages

Your photo library is organised by event type, theme and venue, and the gaps are noted so the next event is photographed for it.

  3. 3

    Set the first reply

The questions, the portfolio message and the quote layout are agreed with you, so a midnight WhatsApp gets the same first answer as a midday one.

  4. 4

    Start the outreach

Search ads for wedding décor, venue-tagged Instagram posts and planner introductions go out once the pages and saved replies are ready.

  5. 5

    Count and adjust

Enquiries, quotes sent and events booked are checked against the baseline from the first step. Where leads drop off, the follow-up is rewritten.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

GullySales builds every engagement from three pieces of sales work. This page is not one of them, but the same three steps apply to the business behind it.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions event décor companies ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Can you make our décor work look good online if we have few good photos?
Yes, but photos are the raw material. We will list which shots are missing and what to capture at the next event, such as the full stage from the entrance and a close view of the flowers. Until then, the best existing work is used and the weak pieces are left out.
How do we quote a mandap when the family keeps changing the guest count?
Quote against a stated guest count and a stated list of items, and write down what moves the price: guest count, flower type, ceiling height or extra lighting. Send a revised quote when the family changes any of these. The rates are yours to set; we only shape the layout of the quote.
Do you handle the planner relationship for us?
We prepare the introduction, the sample pack and the follow-up record. The conversations and any referral understanding stay with you, because a planner trusts the person who will actually build the set.
Is Instagram enough for a décor company?
It brings people to your work, but a family that wants to book also checks Google reviews and asks for a quote on WhatsApp. We connect all three so the enquiry is not lost between them.
Can you help with off-season months when bookings slow down?
Corporate launches, society festivals, birthday themes and prop rental all need a different message from weddings. We plan which of these fit your crew and stock, and start them before the quiet months.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile are the quickest to show, because the enquiries already exist. Ads can follow soon after follow-up is in place. SEO and content take longer. How long each takes depends on your business, and we tell you which applies to you after we have spoken. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
To start, last month's enquiries in any format and time with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM.
