Borewell and drilling contractors · WhatsApp marketing

Use WhatsApp to take the details from a caller while the rig is still running.

WhatsApp marketing for a borewell contractor is the use of WhatsApp for enquiries, site visit bookings, quotations and seasonal messages to owners who have agreed to hear from you. The owner works from site, and WhatsApp reaches the owner there. GullySales sets up the business profile, the consent record and the replies.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What WhatsApp marketing means

WhatsApp marketing is sending updates, offers and reminders to customers on the app most Indian buyers already check daily. GullySales sets up business WhatsApp, writes the message templates and keeps the list consented and current.

For borewell and drilling contractors

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The caller sends a pin and a photograph”

A customer shares the plot location and a picture of the dry bore. A business number can take it down, where a personal phone loses it in a crowd of chats.

  • “The quotation lives in a chat”

A rate agreed in a WhatsApp chat is quoted back later in a dispute. A written, saved quote avoids the argument.

  • “Seasonal messages go to everyone”

A message about summer flushing sent to a person who lives in an apartment with no bore irritates them and gets the number blocked.

What we do

What we deliver for borewell and drilling contractors.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. WhatsApp Business profile for the contractor

A profile with the name, service area, a catalogue of jobs and a greeting that asks the place, the problem and a photograph.

Result: A caller gets a first reply that asks the right questions.

  2. Opt-in record for each contact

A note of when and how each owner agreed to receive messages, kept against the owner's number with the job done.

Result: You can show who agreed and why.

  3. Message templates for the trade

Templates for a visit booking, a quote sent, a pre-summer reminder and a flushing check, in the owner's language.

Result: Messages go out in a form the platform accepts.

  4. Segments by job and area

Owners of bores you drilled, owners who asked for a quote, societies and builders kept as separate lists.

Result: A message reaches those it suits.

  5. Quotation message with the job terms

A standard message that carries the rate basis, the extras, what happens if no water is found and a link to the signed sheet.

Result: The customer holds the terms in their own phone.

  6. Message and opt-out record

Messages sent, replies received, jobs from them and opt-outs honoured, reported against the baseline.

Result: The owner sees whether the channel brings jobs.

How the result is measured

  • Messages delivered
  • Reply rate
  • Enquiries from WhatsApp

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What must be in place first

What a borewell contractor needs in place before sending an owner a WhatsApp message.

Opt-in record
Write down when and how each owner agreed, such as a tick on the job sheet or a yes in the chat. Without it, a pre-summer message to an old customer is an unwanted one.
Business profile
Set the business name, the service area, the services and the hours a person will reply. Keep it on a number the business owns, not on a foreman's phone.
Message templates
Write plain templates for a visit booking, a quotation, a flushing reminder and a delivery of the job sheet. Submit them for approval before the season, not on the day you need one.
Who pays for business messages
Messages sent through the API may carry a charge from WhatsApp or the provider. Check WhatsApp's current business policy and pricing, and agree in writing who pays and who counts the messages.
Opt-out
End each message with a plain line to stop receiving them, and honour the request the same day. An owner who stops hearing from you can still call when their bore fails.
Human reply path
Name who answers in the evening and when the crew is on a long job. A template that invites a reply and meets silence loses the customer who was ready to book.

Who it is for

This is written for these borewell and drilling contractors.

  • Domestic borewell contractors
  • Agricultural borewell and drip-line contractors
  • Rotary and DTH rig operators
  • Housing society and apartment borewell contractors
  • Industrial and commercial borewell contractors
  • Borewell flushing, cleaning and repair contractors
  • Pump installation and motor repair firms
  • Rainwater harvesting and recharge pit contractors

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • The foreman uses a personal number and nobody else sees the chats, so a quotation could be lost with one phone.
  • You hold numbers collected without asking, and a seasonal message would go to people who never agreed.
  • You want to send a quote in chat but have no written terms to attach to it.

How it works

How the whatsapp marketing work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

Read the chats you already have

We read how customers write to you, which questions repeat and where a chat goes quiet. The repeated questions decide what gets automated first.

  2. 2

Sort the list and the permission

Contacts who asked to hear from you are separated from numbers that only sit in a phone book. We agree the wording new contacts will see before they say yes.

  3. 3

Choose the app or the API

One phone and a small team can stay on the ordinary app. Several people on one number, templates or a CRM link need the API through a provider, which is its own piece of setup work.

  4. 4

Write the replies and the plan

The greeting, away message, saved replies and handover rule are written in your words and approved by you. The message plan and its templates follow.

  5. 5

    Connect the record and test

Each link carries its source line and each chat lands in the CRM. We test on real phones, including a customer who asks for a person.

  6. 6

    Read the unanswered questions

A question the first reply could not answer becomes a new saved reply or a fixed handover. Stop requests are watched too, with the number's quality rating where the API is used, since both show a message plan that has gone too far.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Can the foreman use their own WhatsApp for customers?
The foreman can reply, but the conversation should sit on the business number, in the contractor's name. If the foreman leaves, the customer chats and quotes stay with the business. Agree this in writing and share the number with the crew.
Is a broadcast to all past customers allowed?
Only to those who agreed to hear from you, and within WhatsApp's current business policy, which you should check. Send the message that suits each one's bore, and stop when they ask. Never add people to a group without asking.
Should we put a catalogue on the profile?
Yes. List the kinds of job with a photograph and a line each, such as new borewell, flushing and pump fitting. Leave out rates unless you can keep them current. A catalogue with stale prices causes arguments at the site.
Can we send a quote on WhatsApp?
Yes, as a clear message or a PDF with your name, the date, the basis of the rate and what is extra. Ask the customer to reply that they accept. Keep the saved chat with the signed job sheet.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.

Your next practical step

Tell us what you are trying to grow, and we will read it before we call.
