Outsourced accounting and bookkeeping firms · Content marketing

Answer the questions an owner asks before trusting a stranger with the bank statement.

Content marketing for an outsourced accounting firm means writing the answers owners need before they hand over their books: who will do the work, where the data goes, what they send and what happens when they leave. Generic tax explainers do not do that. GullySales writes from your own client questions, with details removed, and places each piece where a buyer will meet it.

A 90-minute audit call and a written, scored report. Turnaround, reporting and term are agreed in writing after the audit.

What content marketing means

Content marketing is writing articles, guides and pages that answer the questions buyers search before they are ready to enquire. This makes your business visible and trusted before the first call. GullySales plans this content from the free audit onward, choosing topics that match real search demand rather than guesses.

For outsourced accounting and bookkeeping firms

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Budget summaries copied from the news”

Every firm posts the same GST change within a day of the notification. Buyers do not choose a bookkeeper for it, and a rival's explainer is already ranking.

  • “The questions that win the work are never written down”

The partner answers them on every first call: who sees my data, can I leave with my files, what if the return is late. None sits on the website.

  • “A senior accountant has no time to write”

The people who know the answers are in month-end close. Without someone to draft from a short conversation, nothing gets published.

What we do

What we deliver for outsourced accounting and bookkeeping firms.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A page for each question asked on first calls

The ten questions your partners answer most, each written as a plain page with the answer in the first line.

Result: The first call starts further along.

  2. A takeover guide

What to collect from an outgoing accountant, in what order, and what to check before the new one starts.

Result: The guide is shared by owners to other owners.

  3. A sample management report

A report built on made-up numbers showing what the owner will receive, with a note on how to read it.

Result: Buyers see what they are paying for.

  4. Plain explanations of notices

What the common GST and TDS notices mean, what to collect, and when to bring in a CA or a lawyer, written for the owner who holds the letter.

Result: Searchers with a notice find a calm, correct page.

  5. Short pieces for seller and startup buyers

Settlement reconciliation for marketplace sellers and first-books guidance for founders, each written with someone who has done the work.

Result: Narrow buyers find content written for them.

  6. A list of where each piece is shared

Founder groups, seller communities, trade associations and the firm's own LinkedIn, planned before writing, so each piece has a reader.

Result: Articles reach owners, not only other accountants.

How the result is measured

  • Pages published
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from content pages

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Questions buyers ask first

The questions an owner asks before choosing an outsourced accountant, and the piece that answers each.

Who will actually do my books?
A page naming the roles on a client team: the accountant who posts, the reviewer and the partner who signs off. Say who answers the phone, and what a leave or resignation does to the file.
Who can see my bank and sales data?
A plain page on access: read-only access where possible, who on your team may open a file, how passwords are kept and what happens to access when staff leave.
What do I have to send, and how?
A checklist page with the bills, statements, payroll inputs and the single place to send them. A sample of the missing-papers list the client sees shows how it works.
Can I take my books if I leave you?
A page on data ownership and exit: the books stay in the client's software, with a stated handover of backups and files. Owners ask this quietly, and a straight answer wins trust.
My accountant left in the middle of the year. What now?
The takeover guide: collect the backup, check the last filed return, list open balances and decide whether to clean up the backlog first.
Do I need a CA or is a bookkeeper enough?
An honest comparison. Say which tasks a bookkeeper handles and which need a CA's signature, and where your firm sits. Do not oversell what the team cannot sign.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Free audit call

90 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. After the call

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come with it, in writing.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the work runs for outsourced accounting and bookkeeping firms

  1. 1

    Assess

We look at where the last clients came from, which jobs you want more of, who handles first calls and how scopes are written today.

  2. 2

    Fix the quote step

A scope template and a reply routine, so every serious enquiry gets a named person and a written scope, not a rate over the phone.

  3. 3

    Build the presence

A website organised by job and client type, a correct Google Business Profile and consistent directory details.

  4. 4

    Show the work

Sample reports, a takeover guide and short answers to the questions owners ask, written from your own files with client details removed.

  5. 5

    Keep the book

A document routine, an early-warning list of clients going quiet, and the second-service conversation.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Who should write the content, the partners or an outsider?
Draft from the partner's own answers. A writer can turn a thirty-minute conversation into a clear page, but the facts must be the partner's. Pages written without that conversation read like the next firm's, and a reader notices.
Can junior accountants contribute?
Yes, and they are good at it. The person who processes a seller's settlements knows the mistakes better than a partner does. Have a senior review any page that states a rule, and check each fact against current notifications.
Should we write in Hindi, Kannada or Tamil as well as English?
Write in the language your buyers use on the phone. Many traders and shop owners search and read in their own language. Start with the takeover and notice pages in that language, and have a native speaker check the accounting terms.
Is video worth it for a firm like ours?
A short video of a partner answering one first-call question works well, because buyers want to see who they will deal with. Keep clients' papers off screen. Text still wins searches, so publish the written answer beside the video.
We are run by chartered accountants. Can we advertise?
Only within what your professional body allows, and those rules differ by body and change, so check with your own council or adviser before anything is published. A plain website, correct directory details and articles that share knowledge are the usual starting points. Firms run by non-members of the profession should still ask what applies to their CA partners.
Should we put our fees on the website?
Do not publish a rate. Publish what moves it: the number of bank accounts, the volume of bills, the software, any backlog and whether payroll is included. An owner who sees the drivers understands why a quote differs and rings you to get one.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after the audit, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile are the quickest to show, because the enquiries already exist. Ads can follow soon after follow-up is in place. SEO and content take longer. How long each takes depends on your business, and the audit tells you which applies to you. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 90 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the review meetings.
