Outsourced accounting and bookkeeping firms · Local SEO

Be the accountant nearest to the owner who wants one they can also meet.

Local SEO for an outsourced accounting firm is being shown on Google Maps and in the local results when an owner searches for an accountant or bookkeeping service in their area. Most of your work runs remotely, but many owners still want an address and a face. GullySales sets up the Business Profile, the listings and the reviews that put your firm on that map.

A 90-minute audit call and a written, scored report. Turnaround, reporting and term are agreed in writing after the audit.

For outsourced accounting and bookkeeping firms

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “A remote firm with a co-working address”

The profile sits at a shared office that is staffed on two days. Google and the owner both see a desk, and a suspension is one reported visit away.

  • “The wrong category costs the right searches”

A profile filed under tax consultant misses bookkeeping searches, and one filed under accountant is lost among hundreds of CA offices that do audit, not daily books.

  • “You are compared with every CA in the area”

A search for accountant near me shows CA firms, tax-filing shops and freelancers together. Without a clear line on what you do, you are one more name.

What we do

What we deliver for outsourced accounting and bookkeeping firms.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A Business Profile set up to the current guidelines

The right primary category, the services named in plain words, hours that match who actually answers, and a decision on whether the address is shown or hidden for a service-area firm.

Result: The profile matches the searches you want and survives a check.

  2. Service entries for each job

Bookkeeping, GST return preparation, payroll and backlog clean-up entered as separate services, each with a short plain description.

Result: A search for one job can match one entry.

  3. Photographs of real premises and team

The office, the team at work and the signboard, taken without showing any client's papers or screens.

Result: An owner who wants to visit can see where, and nobody's data is on display.

  4. Directory entries kept identical

Name, address and phone checked across Google, JustDial, Sulekha, the firm's own site and LinkedIn, with old and duplicate listings found and fixed.

Result: The same firm appears the same way everywhere.

  5. Review replies and posts

A reply to each review that never reveals a client's financial details, and short posts about filing deadlines and takeover help.

Result: The profile reads as a live firm.

  6. Calls, directions and website clicks counted

Profile actions read alongside the enquiry log, so a call that came from Maps is recorded as one.

Result: You see what the profile brings in beyond the number of views.

How the result is measured

  • Map pack ranking
  • Local search visibility
  • Enquiries by locality

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What Google weighs here

How a local search for an accountant is decided, and what an outsourced firm can do about each part.

Relevance: the category and the words
Pick the category that matches the work you do most, then name bookkeeping, GST returns and payroll in the services and description. Check Google's current guidelines before adding secondary categories.
Distance: where the searcher stands
Google measures from the address on file. A co-working address near your clients helps only if you are really there, so use it only where Google's guidelines allow it.
Prominence: how known the firm is
Reviews, mentions on other sites and a website that matches the profile all count. Ask satisfied clients for a review within the platform's rules, and never offer anything for one.
Directories that owners still use
Claim and complete JustDial and Sulekha, and keep the LinkedIn page correct. Ignore the paid packages until the free listing is accurate and answered.
Name, address and phone, identical everywhere
A firm name written three ways looks like three firms. Fix one form of the name and address and copy it exactly, including the suite and the floor.
Service-area or visitable
If clients rarely come to you, set the profile as a service-area business and hide the address. Say on the website that the work runs by shared files and calls.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Free audit call

90 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. After the call

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come with it, in writing.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the work runs for outsourced accounting and bookkeeping firms

  1. 1

    Assess

We look at where the last clients came from, which jobs you want more of, who handles first calls and how scopes are written today.

  2. 2

    Fix the quote step

A scope template and a reply routine, so every serious enquiry gets a named person and a written scope, not a rate over the phone.

  3. 3

    Build the presence

A website organised by job and client type, a correct Google Business Profile and consistent directory details.

  4. 4

    Show the work

Sample reports, a takeover guide and short answers to the questions owners ask, written from your own files with client details removed.

  5. 5

    Keep the book

A document routine, an early-warning list of clients going quiet, and the second-service conversation.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

We work from a co-working space. Can we use that address?
Only if you are really there and clients can reach you at it, in line with Google's current guidelines. A rented desk where nobody answers the door risks the profile. If you work mostly from home or remotely, set it up as a service-area business.
Should each partner have a separate profile?
Not usually, and not for the same office. One profile per real premises is the rule. Separate profiles for each person at one address look like duplicates, and Google may merge or suspend them. Show the partners on the website instead.
A rival has a keyword-stuffed name on Google. Can we report it?
Yes, through the Business Profile's own reporting for a name that does not match the real signboard. Do not copy the habit. A name stuffed with services is against the guidelines and can get your own profile suspended.
We have a second office in another city run by a partner. Does it need its own profile?
Yes, if it is a real, staffed office with its own phone, where clients can walk in. Give each a distinct page on the website and its own reviews. A profile for a city where you only travel occasionally does not qualify.
We are run by chartered accountants. Can we advertise?
Only within what your professional body allows, and those rules differ by body and change, so check with your own council or adviser before anything is published. A plain website, correct directory details and articles that share knowledge are the usual starting points. Firms run by non-members of the profession should still ask what applies to their CA partners.
Should we put our fees on the website?
Do not publish a rate. Publish what moves it: the number of bank accounts, the volume of bills, the software, any backlog and whether payroll is included. An owner who sees the drivers understands why a quote differs and rings you to get one.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after the audit, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile are the quickest to show, because the enquiries already exist. Ads can follow soon after follow-up is in place. SEO and content take longer. How long each takes depends on your business, and the audit tells you which applies to you. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 90 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the review meetings.
