Plumbing and sanitaryware distributors · Email marketing

A builder's accounts team files a mail; a WhatsApp photograph is not a document.

Email for a plumbing and sanitaryware distributor belongs to the buyers who work from an inbox: builders' purchase offices, consultants, institutions and larger sub-dealers. GullySales builds that list with consent, sets up quotations and rate sheets as documents that can be filed, and leaves the retailer chat on WhatsApp.

A 90-minute audit call and a written, scored report. Turnaround, reporting and term are agreed in writing after the audit.

What email marketing means

Email marketing is sending planned messages to a list of past and prospective customers who have agreed to hear from you. It suits offers, updates and staying in touch with someone who is not ready to buy yet. GullySales writes and schedules these emails and tracks who opens, clicks and enquires.

For plumbing and sanitaryware distributors

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “A rate list sent as a photograph cannot be filed”

A purchase manager needs a document with a date, a validity and terms that match the order. A picture of a handwritten list is asked for again a week later.

  • “Consultants approve makes by mail”

A request to add your brand to the approved list arrives as an email with a datasheet attached. A reply with the right sheet gets you on the list.

  • “Statements of account argue less than chat messages”

A statement listing invoice numbers and dates lets a builder's accounts match the ledger. 'Payment pending' on WhatsApp starts a conversation about what is pending.

  • “A bought list of builders is a spam folder”

A database of names with no connection to you earns complaints and a blocked sending address. The mails that matter then stop arriving.

What we do

What we deliver for plumbing and sanitaryware distributors.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A consented list of builders' purchase and site contacts

Builders, contractors, consultants and institutions who have dealt with you or asked for a quote, with the person who specifies and the person who raises the order.

Result: You write to buyers who know your name.

  2. A quotation mail format

Item, brand, size, quantity, rate, GST, validity, delivery terms and payment terms, under a subject line carrying the project name.

Result: Fewer quotations return with questions.

  3. A datasheet and approval pack

The brand's datasheets and test certificates, where the brand supplies them, named by product family and ready to attach.

Result: A consultant's request for a sheet is answered the same hour.

  4. A statement-of-account template

Invoice number, date, amount and balance in one attachment, sent from the accounts person's mailbox.

Result: A builder's accounts team can match it to the ledger.

  5. A sender identity that reaches the inbox

A mailbox on your own domain in a named person's name, with the domain authenticated so quotations are not filed as spam.

Result: Your mails are delivered and recognised.

  6. A short note on new ranges and stock

One new range, the stock position on fast-moving items and a completed project, short enough to read on a phone.

Result: Project buyers see your name between orders.

How the result is measured

  • Open rate
  • Click rate
  • Enquiries from email

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What must be in place first

What a plumbing and sanitaryware distributor needs before it emails builders and consultants.

Consent and the source of each address
Write down where every address came from: a quotation you sent, a purchase order, a form on your site. Buying or scraping a list sits badly with India's data protection law and costs you your sender's reputation.
A named sender on your own domain
Send from a person's mailbox on the firm's domain, not a free address, and have the domain authenticated so quotations are not filed as spam.
An unsubscribe line and a record of who used it
Put one line at the foot of every bulk mail and remove that address from every list on the day. One-to-one quotations do not need it, but a note to forty contacts does.
Segments by who buys
Keep builders' purchase staff, consultants, institutions and large sub-dealers apart. Plumbers and counter retailers stay on WhatsApp, and a rate note meant for them should not reach a consultant.
A reply path to one person
Replies should reach a named sales engineer or the accounts person, not a shared mailbox nobody opens. A builder who asks for a revised quantity wants one human and an answer.
Attachments that are small and specific
Send the datasheet pages for the items quoted, not the whole catalogue. A large file trips spam filters, and a purchase officer wants the one page that proves the specification.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Free audit call

90 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. After the call

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come with it, in writing.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the work runs for plumbing and sanitaryware distributors

  1. 1

    Assess

We look at how orders and enquiries arrive, who answers them, what the sales register shows about each retailer, and what happens to a builder's quotation after it is sent.

  2. 2

    Register the trade

The retailers, plumbers and projects go into one record, cleaned of duplicate spellings and tagged by route and salesman.

  3. 3

    Answer and quote

A reply rota for the order desk, a quotation format that says what is included, and a callback date on every quote.

  4. 4

    Show up where buyers look

The Maps listing, the brand locators, JustDial and IndiaMART set right, and a website that shows the brands and the towns you serve.

  5. 5

    Keep the route

Calls to lapsed retailers, thanks to the plumbers who send work, and a review sheet the owner uses on each route.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Can we buy a database of builders and architects?
Do not. A bought list has no consent behind it, which sits badly with India's data protection law, and those recipients mark you as spam. Build from your own quotations, site visits and enquiry forms. A short list of real contacts does more than a long one.
Should a distributor send a newsletter at all?
Only to people who asked for it, and only when something has changed: a new range, a stock position, a completed project. Quotations and statements sent one to one matter far more. A newsletter to everyone you have ever billed trains them to ignore you.
Why do our quotation mails land in spam?
Common causes are a free mailbox used for business, a domain that has not been authenticated, large attachments and a subject line with only a figure. Ask whoever hosts your domain to check the authentication, and put the project name in the subject.
Which of our buyers should get mail, and which WhatsApp?
Mail for builders' offices, consultants and institutions that need a document to file. WhatsApp for plumbers and counter retailers who order from a phone on site. Where a buyer replies on one channel, stay on it.
The brand brings the demand and fixes the rates. What is there for a distributor to market?
Your name. The brand decides what is sold, but a retailer chooses between distributors on stock, reply, delivery and how claims are handled. Those are yours to improve and to show, and they are what the retailer remembers when two of you hold the same range.
Does a distributor need a website?
Yes, a plain one. A retailer or builder checks the brands, the towns you deliver to and a working number before opening an account. It does not need an online shop, and a quote request that reaches a named person does more.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after the audit, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile are the quickest to show, because the enquiries already exist. Ads can follow soon after follow-up is in place. SEO and content take longer. How long each takes depends on your business, and the audit tells you which applies to you. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
