Plumbing and sanitaryware distributors · Search engine optimisation

Nobody searches for a distributor by name; they search for the fitting and the town.

SEO for a plumbing and sanitaryware distributor means pages that answer what a retailer, contractor or builder types when they need stock: the product, the size, the brand and the town. GullySales builds a page per product family and per supply area, so a buyer in your territory finds a counter that can deliver.

A 90-minute audit call and a written, scored report. Turnaround, reporting and term are agreed in writing after the audit.

What search engine optimisation means

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the work of getting your website to appear when a buyer searches Google for what you sell. GullySales builds pages around real search terms, fixes technical issues that block ranking, and tracks which searches actually bring enquiries.

For plumbing and sanitaryware distributors

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The brand's own site owns the brand name”

A search for a tap range lands on the manufacturer's pages. Yours has to answer what theirs cannot: who stocks it in this town, which sizes are on the shelf and whether a truck can reach the site today.

  • “Buyers search the size, not the category”

A plumber types 20 mm CPVC bend or 110 mm SWR pipe. A page titled Pipes and fittings answers neither of those searches.

  • “Your supply area is a district, not a pin”

The sub-dealers you serve sit in talukas that Maps never shows for your shop. A page naming where you deliver lets a shopkeeper there find you.

  • “The catalogue is a PDF nobody can search”

Size tables locked in an image-only brochure cannot be read by Google or by a plumber on a phone. The same table typed into a page is found.

What we do

What we deliver for plumbing and sanitaryware distributors.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A page per product family

CPVC, UPVC, SWR, CP fittings, sanitaryware and tanks each get a page with size tables, brands carried and a number that reaches the order desk.

Result: A search for a size lands on a page that has it.

  2. Supply area pages, only where you deliver

One page for each town or taluka you really serve, with the brands, the delivery arrangement and who to ring there.

Result: A retailer outside your city can see that you reach him.

  3. Brand pages that state the appointment

A page for each brand you are appointed for, saying so plainly, and none for a brand you only sell occasionally.

Result: A retailer who has chosen the brand finds the distributor, not a lookalike.

  4. The catalogue as text

Size, pressure class and pack quantity tables typed from the brand's catalogue with the brand's permission, in your own words around them.

Result: Plumbers and retailers can check a fitting on a phone.

  5. Short answers to the questions plumbers are asked

Pages on choosing between CPVC and UPVC for a bathroom line or what a wall-hung closet needs behind the wall, written beside the brand's technical sheet.

Result: A buyer who is unsure gets an answer from you first.

  6. Calls and WhatsApp starts counted by page

Each product and area page tracked for calls, messages and quote requests, set against the baseline.

Result: You see which pages bring orders and which only bring visits.

How the result is measured

  • Ranking positions
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from organic search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Searches your buyers type

The searches a retailer, plumber or builder types, and the page that answers each.

20 mm CPVC pipe and fittings, wholesale
A retailer or contractor looking for stock. The page lists pipe sizes, fittings by type, the brands carried and the towns you deliver to, with a number the order desk answers.
Sanitaryware distributor in your town
A shop owner looking for another source. Show the ranges, whether you appoint sub-dealers and how to apply for an account, so the first call is about an order and not about who you are.
Brand name plus distributor or dealer
From retailers and families who already chose the brand. Make the page only for brands you are appointed for, say so plainly, and check the brand's rules on using its name and images.
CP fittings supplier for builders
A purchase manager planning a tower. The page covers project rates, floor-wise dispatch, approved makes and GST invoicing, and takes a quantity list as a file or a photograph.
SWR drainage pipe sizes for a building
A contractor's technical question. A short page with sizes and the matching fittings, written from the manufacturer's sheet, ending in a way to send the quantity list on WhatsApp.
What not to chase
Single tap model names that only the brand's page can answer, and the word cheap. Those searches bring calls that ask for the MRP and nothing else.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Free audit call

90 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. After the call

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come with it, in writing.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the work runs for plumbing and sanitaryware distributors

  1. 1

    Assess

We look at how orders and enquiries arrive, who answers them, what the sales register shows about each retailer, and what happens to a builder's quotation after it is sent.

  2. 2

    Register the trade

The retailers, plumbers and projects go into one record, cleaned of duplicate spellings and tagged by route and salesman.

  3. 3

    Answer and quote

A reply rota for the order desk, a quotation format that says what is included, and a callback date on every quote.

  4. 4

    Show up where buyers look

The Maps listing, the brand locators, JustDial and IndiaMART set right, and a website that shows the brands and the towns you serve.

  5. 5

    Keep the route

Calls to lapsed retailers, thanks to the plumbers who send work, and a review sheet the owner uses on each route.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Do we need a page for every pipe size and every tap model?
No. One page per product family, with a size table on it, answers the searches that bring orders. A page for each of hundreds of models is thin, repeats the brand's catalogue and mostly attracts people asking for the MRP.
Can we copy the brand's catalogue text and photographs?
Only with the brand's permission, which its marketing team can give in writing. The same text on many dealers' sites ranks nowhere. Use the brand's technical figures and write the stock, the delivery and the area in your own words.
Should a distributor write blog posts?
Only for questions buyers really ask, such as how to read a pipe's pressure class or what size drain a block needs. Posts about the festival season or the brand's news bring visitors who never buy. Keep to a handful that answer something.
Who should own the domain and the Search Console login?
You should, through a mailbox the firm controls and not a salesman's or a web designer's own account. Whoever holds the login can take the site down. Ask for the registrar and Search Console details in writing.
The brand brings the demand and fixes the rates. What is there for a distributor to market?
Your name. The brand decides what is sold, but a retailer chooses between distributors on stock, reply, delivery and how claims are handled. Those are yours to improve and to show, and they are what the retailer remembers when two of you hold the same range.
Does a distributor need a website?
Yes, a plain one. A retailer or builder checks the brands, the towns you deliver to and a working number before opening an account. It does not need an online shop, and a quote request that reaches a named person does more.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after the audit, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile are the quickest to show, because the enquiries already exist. Ads can follow soon after follow-up is in place. SEO and content take longer. How long each takes depends on your business, and the audit tells you which applies to you. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
