Plumbing and sanitaryware distributors · WhatsApp marketing

The new rate list reaches the trade on WhatsApp whether you plan it or not.

WhatsApp marketing for a plumbing and sanitaryware distributor is a consented list of retailers, plumbers and contractors who get rate changes, stock arrivals and scheme dates, plus a shared number where orders are taken. GullySales sets up the business profile, the list, the message templates and the reply rota.

A 90-minute audit call and a written, scored report. Turnaround, reporting and term are agreed in writing after the audit.

What WhatsApp marketing means

WhatsApp marketing is sending updates, offers and reminders to customers on the app most Indian buyers already check daily, which gets read faster than email or SMS. GullySales sets up business WhatsApp, writes the message templates and keeps the list consented and current.

For plumbing and sanitaryware distributors

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The trade list sits on salesmen's personal phones”

Each salesman holds the numbers of his retailers and plumbers. When he leaves or changes his phone, the distributor loses the list it paid him to build.

  • “An old rate screenshot circulates for weeks”

The brand revises the price list on a date and the picture of the old one keeps travelling. A retailer quotes it to his customer and then argues with you.

  • “A plumbers' group turns into a noticeboard”

Forty plumbers and a flood of festival greetings and rival offers. The ones who matter mute it within a week.

  • “Orders arrive as unlabelled photographs”

A handwritten list from a number nobody saved, sent when the counter is shut. Whoever sees it first decides what it means.

What we do

What we deliver for plumbing and sanitaryware distributors.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A WhatsApp Business profile and catalogue

One shop profile on a shared number with address, hours, categories and a catalogue of product families, not of every item.

Result: A new contact sees a business, not a salesman's chat.

  2. An opt-in record

A simple register of who agreed to receive trade messages, when, and who took the consent.

Result: You can show that every number on the list asked to be there.

  3. Templates for the usual news

Messages for a rate revision, a stock arrival, a scheme closing date and a delivery on the way, each with a validity line.

Result: An old rate can no longer pass for today's.

  4. An order-taking routine

A named person answering the shared number in counter hours, a confirmation message listing items, quantity and delivery date, and a place where each order is entered.

Result: A photographed order is read, confirmed and billed by someone.

  5. Lists by buyer type

Retailers, plumbers and contractors, and builders kept apart, so a scheme meant for shops does not reach a household.

Result: Each group gets news that applies to it.

  6. Replies and opt-outs counted

Messages sent, replies, orders started on WhatsApp and opt-outs, set against the baseline.

Result: You see whether the list is read or only tolerated.

How the result is measured

  • Messages delivered
  • Reply rate
  • Enquiries from WhatsApp

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What must be in place first

What a plumbing and sanitaryware distributor sets up before it messages the trade at scale.

An opt-in record
Note who agreed to receive rate and stock messages, on what date, and through which person. A retailer whose number is in your phone book has not agreed to a broadcast.
A business profile on a shared number
Use a WhatsApp Business number that more than one person can answer, with the shop name, address and product families filled in. Leave salesmen's personal numbers for personal chat.
Templates with a valid-until line
Write the rate-revision and stock-arrival messages once, each with a date after which they no longer apply, so a forwarded copy cannot pass for the current rate.
Who pays for what
Check WhatsApp's current business policy and pricing before sending to a long list. The rules on what a business may start a conversation with, and what it costs, change.
Opt-out in plain words
End each broadcast with a line telling the reader how to stop messages, and remove that number from every list the same day, including any list a salesman keeps.
A human who replies
Name who answers the order number during counter hours and who covers the lunch break and the weekly off. A retailer who gets a template and then silence stops reading.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Free audit call

90 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. After the call

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come with it, in writing.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the work runs for plumbing and sanitaryware distributors

  1. 1

    Assess

We look at how orders and enquiries arrive, who answers them, what the sales register shows about each retailer, and what happens to a builder's quotation after it is sent.

  2. 2

    Register the trade

The retailers, plumbers and projects go into one record, cleaned of duplicate spellings and tagged by route and salesman.

  3. 3

    Answer and quote

A reply rota for the order desk, a quotation format that says what is included, and a callback date on every quote.

  4. 4

    Show up where buyers look

The Maps listing, the brand locators, JustDial and IndiaMART set right, and a website that shows the brands and the towns you serve.

  5. 5

    Keep the route

Calls to lapsed retailers, thanks to the plumbers who send work, and a review sheet the owner uses on each route.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Is a broadcast list enough, or do we need the WhatsApp Business API?
A broadcast list is enough while you message a few hundred people who have saved your number. The API is for larger lists, approved templates and several people sharing one inbox. Start with the app, and move when the volume or staff turnover demands it.
Can we run a WhatsApp group for our plumbers?
You can, but it gets muted quickly if it carries offers and greetings. A group with one rule, new arrivals and rate changes only, and replies kept to direct messages, survives longer. A broadcast list does the same job without letting plumbers see each other's numbers.
Our salesmen use their own numbers. What happens when one leaves?
The retailers' numbers leave with him unless they are also in your register. Enter every contact in a shared record when it is made, and move trade messaging to the shared business number, so a change of staff does not cost you the route.
Is the WhatsApp catalogue worth setting up for a distributor?
For product families and the main sizes, yes: a plumber can scroll to the item and send you the quantity. Do not try to list every code. Keep the stock position out of the catalogue and answer that by message.
The brand brings the demand and fixes the rates. What is there for a distributor to market?
Your name. The brand decides what is sold, but a retailer chooses between distributors on stock, reply, delivery and how claims are handled. Those are yours to improve and to show, and they are what the retailer remembers when two of you hold the same range.
Does a distributor need a website?
Yes, a plain one. A retailer or builder checks the brands, the towns you deliver to and a working number before opening an account. It does not need an online shop, and a quote request that reaches a named person does more.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after the audit, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile are the quickest to show, because the enquiries already exist. Ads can follow soon after follow-up is in place. SEO and content take longer. How long each takes depends on your business, and the audit tells you which applies to you. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
