Patent attorneys · Digital marketing

Put the website, search, LinkedIn and introductions to work as one plan for inventors.

Digital marketing for a patent practice is the plan that joins the website, search, LinkedIn, email and institutional introductions. GullySales works on which of these suits your fields, who handles each, and how the enquiries are counted.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What digital marketing means

Digital marketing is the combined work of search, social media, advertising and website channels running together rather than as separate projects with separate people. GullySales runs these as one connected system so a change in one channel, such as a new offer, is reflected everywhere at once.

For patent attorneys

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Reputation is built in rooms and read online”

An inventor is told to speak to an attorney by an incubator, then looks the practice up. What they find online either confirms the recommendation or weakens it.

  • “A small number of channels done properly”

A practice with a few attorneys cannot run every channel. Pick the website, LinkedIn and institutional introductions, run them well and add others when the capacity is there.

  • “Counting needs a source on every enquiry”

Without a record of where each enquiry came from, the owner cannot tell whether the website, a referral or an office introduction brought the filing. Spending then follows habit.

What we do

What we deliver for patent attorneys.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A plan across channels

Which channels the practice uses, who owns each and what each is for.

Result: One page states the plan so the team works from the same list.

  2. Field pages and guides on the website

The pages that explain each field and the disclosure question.

Result: The website is the place every other channel sends people.

  3. A LinkedIn routine

Profiles and a set of subjects, reviewed by an attorney before posting.

Result: The practice appears in the feeds of research heads and founders.

  4. An institution outreach list

Technology transfer offices and incubators with a named contact and a log of each contact.

Result: The practice knows which institutions have heard from it.

  5. A source-and-outcome sheet

Each enquiry is recorded with its source, field and result.

Result: The owner can compare channels by the filings they produced.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries across channels
  • Cost per enquiry overall
  • Channel mix by contribution

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the digital marketing work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Understand the objective

We agree the one thing this campaign needs to achieve before choosing any channel.

  2. 2

    Audit available channels

We assess which channels are realistic to run well within the budget and timeline.

  3. 3

    Strategise the central idea

One message and offer is developed that will work across every planned channel.

  4. 4

    Implement across channels

Each channel receives its own adapted version, launched on a shared timeline.

  5. 5

    Measure as one campaign

Results from every channel are combined into a single report against the original objective.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Where should a new practice start?
With the website, the field pages and the intake sheet, because every other channel sends people there. Add institutional introductions next. Advertising rules differ by profession and by state, so check with your own council or adviser before you publish.
Is paid advertising suitable?
It can be tested for specific searches, but judge it by filings, not clicks. Check advertising rules for your profession before running any.
How do we know it is working?
By the source-and-outcome sheet. If enquiries from a channel never reach filing, change what that channel says or stop using it.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
