Grocery stores and supermarkets · Pay per click advertising

Pay for the searches by families who live inside your delivery radius.

PPC for a grocery store means paying for searches and map placements where a family nearby is ready to order or visit. GullySales limits the advertising to the delivery area, writes the ads and reads spend against orders and calls.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What pay per click advertising means

Pay per click advertising (PPC) is paying a fee each time someone clicks your advert on Google or another platform. It puts you at the top of a search page immediately, instead of waiting for ranking to build. GullySales sets the targeting, writes the ad text and checks spend against enquiries received.

For grocery stores and supermarkets

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Ads reach areas the store cannot serve”

A click from beyond the delivery radius gets a polite refusal and the money is gone.

  • “The ad promises what the shelf cannot supply”

An ad for organic millets on a day the store has none sends a family away with a bad impression.

  • “Clicks come from comparison shoppers, not families”

A search for cheapest rice price is a person comparing, not a family who wants a store, and the budget leaks away on it.

What we do

What we deliver for grocery stores and supermarkets.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Campaigns drawn around the delivery radius

Ads shown only to searchers within the streets and towers you can serve in good time, with the radius reviewed as the delivery team changes.

Result: You pay for families you can serve.

  2. Call and directions ads for walk-in searches

Ads that show the store, the timings and a call button when someone nearby searches for a grocery store.

Result: A nearby search becomes a call or a visit.

  3. Festival and hamper campaigns

Ads for Diwali hampers and bulk festival lists, started ahead of the festival and switched off after the order cut-off.

Result: The budget follows the days families plan their buying.

  4. Negative keywords for price comparers and jobs

Blocks on wholesale rate, job vacancy, franchise, store opening and cheapest, checked against real search terms.

Result: The budget stops paying for people who will never shop.

  5. A landing page for each ad

A page that opens on the exact offer, the delivery area and a WhatsApp button, not the home page of the store.

Result: A click lands on what the ad promised.

  6. Counting orders from the ads

A tracked WhatsApp link and a call count for each campaign, so every enquiry from an ad has a source.

Result: You know whether the ads brought orders or only clicks.

How the result is measured

  • Cost per click
  • Cost per enquiry
  • Enquiries from paid search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Searches to bid on and block

Which grocery searches are worth paying for, which to block, and what counts as an enquiry.

grocery delivery in [locality] and nearby
Bid. A family is looking for delivery now. Restrict the area to your delivery radius, send the click to a WhatsApp order page, and note the area on each order.
supermarket near me and open now
Bid, with a call and directions ad. Run it during opening hours only, so a family does not call a closed counter and write the store off.
your own store and brand name
Bid on your own name cheaply, so an app or a rival cannot sit above you when a regular family searches for you.
Job, franchise, wholesale rate and store opening searches
Block. Grocery shop job, franchise cost, wholesale rate and how to open a store come from workers and starters, not from the families you serve.
cheapest rice, oil and atta price
Block or bid with great care. A comparer wants the lowest price, and an ad for a regular store rarely wins that click at a cost that makes sense.
What counts as a real enquiry
A WhatsApp list with an address inside the delivery area, or a call that lasts long enough to take an order. Count calls and lists, not clicks.

Who it is for

This is written for these grocery stores and supermarkets.

  • Neighbourhood kirana and provision stores
  • Supermarkets of one or two floors in a locality
  • Small chains of three to ten stores in one city
  • Fruits, vegetables and fresh produce stores
  • Organic and natural food stores
  • Milk booths and bakeries that also carry provisions
  • Stores inside gated communities, where the association decides who delivers
  • Imported and specialty food stores

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the pay per click advertising work runs

  1. 1

    Understand the total budget

We agree the full paid advertising budget available across all platforms, rather than planning each one separately.

  2. 2

    Audit current platform performance

We compare existing campaigns on a shared basis to see where the budget currently performs best and worst.

  3. 3

    Build the cross-platform plan

Campaigns are structured across platforms with a shared measurement standard from the outset.

  4. 4

    Implement and monitor

Campaigns run with budget allocated dynamically based on real-time performance.

  5. 5

    Measure and reallocate

We report performance and shift budget toward what is working, within agreed limits.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Should we run ads only in the festival months?
Run steady ads for nearby searches, and increase them in festival weeks when families plan bulk buying. Pause the campaign for items you cannot supply, so that no click is wasted on an empty shelf.
Should we advertise on Instagram and Facebook instead?
Social ads show your offer to people who did not search, which suits a new store or a festival hamper. Search ads catch families who are ready to order, so most stores start there.
Is a call-only ad useful for a grocery store?
Yes, for nearby searches during opening hours, if somebody answers. An unanswered call from an ad is the most expensive missed order, so set the ad to run only when the phone is staffed.
Can we advertise a price on loose items that change daily?
Avoid a fixed price in the ad. Say fresh stock arrives daily and send the family to the catalogue or the WhatsApp number for today's price.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
