Grocery stores and supermarkets · Reputation management

Turn a missing item and a late delivery into a customer who stays.

Reputation management for a grocery store is the habit of asking happy families for reviews, answering every one in public and fixing the pattern behind the complaints. GullySales sets up the routine and reads what the reviews say about your shelves and your delivery.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What reputation management means

Reputation management is watching what is said about your business across Google, social media and review sites, and responding to it before it changes a buyer's mind. GullySales monitors mentions, drafts responses to negative reviews and flags recurring complaints back to your team.

For grocery stores and supermarkets

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Reviews mention one delivery boy and one bad day”

A review that names a late rider is rarely about one rider. It usually points to a gap in how orders are handed over.

  • “The owner never replies”

A complaint about a short-weighted pack sits unanswered for months, and the next family reads the silence as indifference.

  • “Reviews come only from complaints”

Happy families do not think to review a grocery store, so the visible record is made of the few who were annoyed.

What we do

What we deliver for grocery stores and supermarkets.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A review ask at billing and after delivery

A short line and a QR code at the counter, and a message after a delivery that asks whether everything arrived, with the review link only for those who say yes.

Result: Reviews come from satisfied families as a habit.

  2. A reply for every review

A short, polite reply for each review, written in the language of the reviewer, with a different note for praise, a missing item and a bad experience.

Result: Each reader sees an owner who is listening.

  3. A complaint log by cause

A sheet that records what went wrong: missing item, wrong weight, late delivery, near-expiry pack, rude behaviour, and who fixed it.

Result: Repeated problems become visible and get fixed.

  4. A service-recovery message

A message that apologises, names the fix and offers a replacement or a refund where it is due, sent privately after a public reply.

Result: A complaint ends with the family still shopping.

  5. A review watch across platforms

Google, JustDial, Facebook and the delivery apps you sell on, watched in one place, so a review on a minor listing does not go unseen.

Result: Nothing about the store sits unanswered.

  6. Reporting on the rating and the causes

Rating, count and the reasons behind low scores, set against the baseline at the start of the work.

Result: You see whether the fixes inside the store are working.

How the result is measured

  • Average rating
  • Response time to reviews
  • Negative mentions resolved

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What to do with each review

The reviews a grocery store gets, how to reply in public, and what to fix inside the shop.

Missing or substituted item
Reply by thanking the family, saying how substitutions are agreed, and offering to correct the bill. Inside, call before substituting and record the choice on the order.
Late delivery
Apologise without excuses and say what changed. Inside, check the slot you promise against the delivery staff on duty, and promise only what you can keep.
Short weight or near-expiry pack
Take this seriously and reply politely with an offer to replace. Inside, check the weighing scale and the date-checking routine, and keep a record of the shelf check.
Praise for the staff or the produce
Thank the reviewer and name the item or the person if they agree. Share it with the team, so the praise reaches the counter.
A review you believe is false or from a competitor
Reply calmly, flag it to the platform with the reason, and keep a record. Removal is the platform's decision, so never promise it to the owner or the staff.
Asking and thanking, within the rules
Ask every family, not only the pleased ones, and never pay, discount or set staff quotas for reviews. Check each platform's current rules on asking.

  • Small chains of three to ten stores in one city

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the reputation management work runs

  1. 1

    Understand current perception

We start by actually searching your business name and reviewing what a stranger would currently see.

  2. 2

    Audit existing mentions

We catalogue reviews, mentions and search results, flagging anything negative or inaccurate.

  3. 3

    Plan responses

A calm, factual response is prepared for anything that needs one, agreed with you before posting.

  4. 4

    Implement monitoring

Ongoing checks are set up so new mentions are caught promptly rather than discovered by accident.

  5. 5

    Measure and report

Sentiment and response times are reported, with your business name searched again to see what has moved.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Should we reply in English or the family's language?
In the language the reviewer wrote in, if your staff can write it well. A short reply in Kannada, Hindi or Tamil to a review in that language reads warmer than a formal English one.
A review names our delivery boy. What do we do?
Reply without naming him, and speak to him privately. Look at the cause first: an unclear address, too many orders in a slot, or a missing handover note.
Can we give a discount to families who leave a review?
No. Paying or rewarding for reviews breaks most platforms' rules and makes the review less believable. Thank every family, and ask each one, without a reward.
How do we respond when a regular family leaves one bad review?
Call her first, fix the problem, and then reply in public. A regular family is worth more than the review, and she will often update it once the problem is solved.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
