Cloud consulting companies · Follow up systems

Plan the closing session of every assessment so the next phase is already on the table.

A follow-up system for a cloud consulting company is the set of agreed steps that move an enquiry to an assessment and an assessment to a larger project. GullySales works on who follows up, with what, and how each step is recorded.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What follow up systems means

A follow-up system is the set routine for calling, messaging or emailing an enquiry more than once, since most buyers do not decide on the first conversation. GullySales sets the number and timing of follow-ups so an undecided buyer keeps hearing from you until they decide either way.

For cloud consulting companies

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The report ends the conversation by default”

When the written output is handed over, everyone is relieved and the sponsor returns to other work. Unless the next phase is described in the same session, the follow-on goes to whoever already has the sponsor's attention.

  • “Silence after a proposal means different things”

The CTO may be waiting for budget, the finance head may be comparing, or the founder may have gone quiet. A single reminder treats all of these alike. A follow-up that asks a specific question gets a useful answer.

  • “Enquiries cool before senior people reply”

A founder who asks about a bill review may hear back after days of internal discussion at your end. Meanwhile another firm answers. A named person who replies first with a useful question protects the lead.

  • “Old clients are the best list”

A client who finished an assessment last year has new systems, a new renewal date and perhaps a new finance head. A planned check-in finds the next need before someone else does.

What we do

What we deliver for cloud consulting companies.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Closing session agenda

An agenda for the final meeting of each assessment that puts the findings, the options and the next phase with its sponsor on one page.

Result: Every assessment ends with a stated next step.

  2. Enquiry reply routine

A named owner, a first-reply outline and a question that moves the buyer to a scoping call.

Result: No enquiry waits without an owner.

  3. Proposal follow-up questions

A short set of questions for the silent weeks after a proposal, each aimed at a specific blocker.

Result: Follow-ups that ask something answerable.

  4. Past-client check-in list

A list of earlier clients with a reason to contact each, such as a contract renewal or a platform change.

Result: A sheet of reasons to call that are not just hellos.

  5. Follow-up record

A place in the CRM where each follow-up and its outcome is noted.

Result: A history of what was said to each buyer.

How the result is measured

  • Follow-up completion rate
  • Average number of follow-ups before close
  • Enquiries closed after repeat follow-up

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the follow up systems work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Measure today's reply time

From last month's enquiries, we measure how long each waited for a first reply and how many follow-ups it got.

  2. 2

    Agree targets and the sequence

We set reply targets and the follow-up sequence with your team, based on its real hours and workload.

  3. 3

Set up templates, tasks and ownership

Templates, first-call questions, CRM tasks and named owners go live, with cover for leave and weekends.

  4. 4

    Track and adjust every month

Reply time and follow-up completion are reported against the baseline, and the routine is changed where it is not kept.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 2, qualification. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

How often should we follow up?
Follow the buyer's own decision steps, not a fixed rhythm. We set follow-ups against moments such as a budget review or a platform renewal, and record what was agreed with the buyer.
Is it pushy to propose a next phase at the closing session?
Not when the findings point to it. Describing options and letting the sponsor decide is part of the service. The aim is a clear choice, including the choice to do nothing.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
