The sales process · Lead generation
Answer the question a buyer actually typed, in the words they typed it.
Quora marketing means answering real buyer questions in public, under the name of the person in your business who knows the answer. It is slow work, and it suits considered purchases where people research for weeks. GullySales picks the questions worth answering and turns the good answers into pages on your own site.
In one paragraph
Quora marketing means answering real buyer questions in public, under the name of the person in your business who knows the answer. It is slow work, and it suits considered purchases where people research for weeks. GullySales picks the questions worth answering and turns the good answers into pages on your own site.
Somebody with a problem types it out as a whole sentence: which flooring survives a ground floor flat through the Bengaluru monsoon. Those sentences end up on question sites, where strangers answer them. The answers then sit there for years, being read by people nobody counted.
The honest version of this page is short. Answering in public works when a purchase takes weeks of thinking and the buyer is doing their own research. It does almost nothing for an emergency, where the buyer rings whoever appears first on Maps and stops looking.
It is also slow. A good answer takes half an hour to write, and the enquiry may arrive four months later from somebody who never said a word. Free consultations, the step before, work on people already talking to you. This works on people who have not spoken yet, and it feeds email marketing, the step after, when one of them finally leaves an address.
Where this sits
Stage 4 of 10, lead generation. The routes an enquiry can arrive by, and what each one costs in money or in time.
- The stage before
- Prospecting
- The stage after
- Sales enablement
If you want this done for you
Keep publishing the answers your buyers search for, month after month.
The work
What this step is actually like.
“Answer the question, do not advertise”
An answer has to be worth reading with your link removed. Give the actual method, the figure nobody shares, the thing you would tell a friend at a wedding. One line at the end about what you do is plenty, and on many answers it reads better left out entirely.
“It has to be a person”
Nobody reads an answer written by a company account. The engineer, the doctor or the architect writes it, in their own name, with their trade in the profile. If the expert in your business will not write, this channel is shut to you, and no agency can fake that convincingly.
“Regulated trades, read this first”
Doctors, dentists, lawyers, chartered accountants and investment advisers answer in public under rules set by their own councils, and it is your registration at risk rather than the website's. General education sits on safer ground than anything reading as advice to a named individual. Ask your council or your compliance adviser before you start.
“Who this is wrong for”
A plumber wanted today. A restaurant. A shop competing on price. None of those buyers research for a fortnight. If your customers decide in under an hour, put the time into search and Maps, and come back here when you start selling something people think about.
What we do
What you end up with.
The artefacts this step produces, what each one is for, and how you know it is finished.
The question list
A spreadsheet of real questions, five columns wide. The question as typed, who asks it, the honest answer in three lines, the page on your site that covers it, and the date you answered. Build it from the questions your own phone already gets.
Result: You answer questions buyers ask, not the ones you wish they asked.
The expert's profile
A short line saying what this person does and where, with the trade named plainly and no slogan anywhere near it. A reader should see in five seconds why this particular person would know.
Result: Every answer arrives with a reason to believe it.
The answer pattern
The answer in the first two lines, then the reason, then one real example, then the exception where the advice does not hold. Written the way the expert would say it out loud.
Result: A reader can act on the answer alone, and some of them ring you anyway.
The page on your own site
Every answer worth writing gets rewritten as a page you control, because the question site owns the copy you posted there. Same question as the heading, fuller answer underneath, your pictures.
Result: The work survives a platform changing its rules, and search finds it on your domain.
