The sales process · Lead generation
Pinterest sells kitchens and weddings, and it will not sell your gearboxes.
Pinterest marketing is publishing photographs of your finished work where people browse pictures while planning something months away. It suits interiors, weddings, food, fashion and home trades, and very little else. GullySales says plainly when this is the wrong channel, and builds the boards and the photography habit when it is the right one.
In one paragraph
Pinterest marketing is publishing photographs of your finished work where people browse pictures while planning something months away. It suits interiors, weddings, food, fashion and home trades, and very little else. GullySales says plainly when this is the wrong channel, and builds the boards and the photography habit when it is the right one.
Start with the part most pages leave out. If you make bearings, mould plastic parts, run a logistics fleet or sell software to procurement teams, this channel is not for you. Go back to email marketing, or put the hours into search.
For the trades it does suit, it behaves unlike any other social platform. People arrive while planning: a flat being done up in January for a wedding in November, a menu for a reception, a shopfront for a new branch. They save pictures into boards for months, and an image saved two years ago still turns up in front of somebody.
The work here is not posting. It is having photographs of your own finished jobs that are worth saving, which means somebody spends ten minutes at handover with the lights on and the phone held upright. Most of the trades this suits are already sitting on a phone full of half-usable pictures nobody sorted.
Email marketing, the step before, keeps hold of somebody who already found you. This is the last step of lead generation. After it the process turns to what you say to the enquiries all of this produces, beginning with the sales pitch.
Where this sits
Stage 4 of 10, lead generation. The routes an enquiry can arrive by, and what each one costs in money or in time.
- The stage before
- Prospecting
- The stage after
- Sales enablement
If you want this done for you
Post content people actually stop scrolling for, on a schedule you can actually keep.
The work
What this step is actually like.
“Who it is actually for”
Interior designers and modular kitchen makers. Wedding photographers, planners and decorators. Caterers, bakers, boutique fashion, furniture and décor shops, salons, and architects doing homes. What they share is a buyer who plans by looking, weeks or months before any money moves.
“A pin is not a post”
A post is read on the day it goes out and then it is gone. A saved picture keeps arriving in front of people for years and brings them to whatever page it points at. A studio in Indiranagar that photographs one finished flat properly is still being found by people who were not even looking when it went up.
“Permission for the pictures”
The house in the photograph belongs to somebody, and so does the wedding. Ask at handover, in writing, and note the answer against the shoot. Taking a polite no from one client costs far less than pulling a photograph down after strangers have already saved it.
“How you will know it is not working”
Six months of pins with nobody clicking through to the site means the pictures are catalogue shots rather than rooms. A product on a white background is a listing. Show the finished space with somebody's things in it, and say in the caption what the material is and which room it is.
What we do
What you end up with.
The artefacts this step produces, what each one is for, and how you know it is finished.
The board plan
Boards named the way a buyer describes a room, not the way you describe a service. Small kitchens in two BHK flats, morning wedding décor, cane and wood in a rented flat. Eight or ten boards is plenty to start with.
Result: A customer in the middle of a renovation finds the board that matches her flat.
The shoot list
Which finished jobs get photographed, by whom, and at what point in the job. Upright pictures, taken before the client's furniture arrives and again after, with the lights on and the site cleared.
Result: New pictures arrive every month without anybody booking a photographer.
The caption pattern
What the space is, what it is made of, how big it is, and where. Written for somebody planning the same thing, using the words they would use rather than the ones on your invoice.
Result: A picture explains itself when somebody finds it two years from now.
The page each pin points at
Every pin leads to a page that can take an enquiry: the job it came from, more pictures of it, and a way to ask about something similar. A pin pointing at a home page loses a person who was already interested.
Result: The visit lands somewhere that can answer the question it came with.
Why us
Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.
Marketing and sales, as one job
Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.
The person on the first call does the work
No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.
A baseline before anything starts
Your numbers are written down on day one, so every monthly report compares against something honest.
The fee in writing, split three ways
Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.
