Click-to-WhatsApp ads · Marketing

Let the ad open a WhatsApp chat, so the buyer talks to you before they talk to anyone else.

Indian buyers in these trades do not want to fill in a form and wait for a call from an unknown number. They want to message the shop, send a photo, ask the price and get an answer in the same thread. A Meta ad that opens WhatsApp meets the buyer where the conversation already happens.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

In one paragraph

Click-to-WhatsApp ads are Meta ads on Facebook and Instagram whose button opens a WhatsApp conversation with your business instead of a form. GullySales plans the ad, the first reply, the handover to the person who quotes and the record of each conversation. Scope and fee are agreed in writing after the requirements brief.

The ad is only the first of four parts. The wording of the ad sets what the buyer expects, the first reply decides whether the chat continues, the handover decides who quotes and how quickly the context travels, and the record decides whether you ever learn which ads produced real business.

This page covers the ad that starts the chat. Meta advertising covers the wider account, WhatsApp marketing and automation covers the messaging system around your number, and WhatsApp Business API setup covers the technical connection. We link the four so nothing falls between them.

The problem

Does this sound like your business?

What owners tell us on the first call, in their words.

  • “The ad promises one thing and the first reply says another”

A buyer taps an ad about a specific product or offer and lands in a chat that opens with a generic greeting. The mismatch costs the conversation before it begins.

  • “Chats arrive and sit unanswered”

The ad generates conversations, but they land on a phone nobody is watching. A buyer who messaged at lunch has moved on by evening.

  • “The person who quotes never sees the earlier messages”

The first reply comes from one person and the quote from another, and the buyer is asked the same questions twice. Context lost in the handover is the usual place a sale ends.

  • “Nobody can say which ad produced which sale”

Chats are counted as enquiries, but without a record of source, status and outcome, the budget moves towards the ads that attract the highest number of chats, not the ones that attract buyers.

What we do

Everything that is included.

Each deliverable, and what it gets you. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Ad and offer planning

The audience, the product or service to feature and the single action the ad asks for, written down before any creative is made.

  2. Ad creative and wording

Images, video and copy that tell the buyer what they will get when the chat opens, in English or the language your buyers use.

  3. Campaign setup in Meta

The campaign built around the objective of starting a WhatsApp conversation, linked to your WhatsApp Business number or account. Check the platform's current rules for what is allowed.

  4. First-reply design

The opening message, the questions it asks and the quick answers for common queries, so the buyer gets a useful reply straight away and a person for anything specific.

  5. Handover to the quoting person

A clear rule for who takes over, what they see and what the buyer is told, so the conversation continues without repeating itself.

  6. Conversation record

Each chat logged with the ad it came from, its status and its outcome, so spend can be compared with business won.

How the result is measured

  • Conversations started from each ad
  • First replies sent, and how quickly
  • Chats that reached a quote
  • Enquiries that turned into orders, traced to the ad that began them
  • Cost per conversation and cost per quoted enquiry

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Who it is for

This is written for you if these sound familiar.

  • Dealers, clinics, coaching centres and showrooms whose buyers already ask for prices on WhatsApp
  • Owners whose Meta ads bring form fills that nobody answers well or that never pick up the phone
  • Businesses where a photo, a measurement or a voice note is part of the enquiry
  • Teams whose staff reply from personal phones, so the chat leaves when the person does
  • Owners who want to know which ad produced which conversation, and which conversation produced a sale

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • Your buyers are corporate purchase teams who ask for formal quotes by email
  • Nobody on your team can reply to a WhatsApp message on the same working day
  • You want to message people who never asked to hear from you; the ad starts the chat, and the buyer starts it by tapping

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the click-to-WhatsApp ads work runs

  1. 1

    Requirements brief

We start with a brief: what you sell, who buys, how enquiries reach you today and who answers them. Scope and fee are agreed in writing after it.

  2. 2

    Plan the conversation

We map the ad, the first reply, the questions that qualify a buyer and the handover, before any campaign is built.

  3. 3

Build the ads and the replies

Creative, campaign setup and the opening messages are prepared together so the ad and the chat say the same thing.

  4. 4

    Set up the record

We agree how each conversation is logged against its ad and where the log lives, so your team can read it without us.

  5. 5

    Launch and review the chats

We read the real conversations with you, change the ad wording and first reply where buyers drop away, and agree what to change in the budget.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

Engagement options

Ways to work with us.

Pick the size of commitment that fits. Every option starts with your brief and a conversation.

  1. Option 1

    The conversation on its own

A call after you send your brief. It says honestly whether you need outside help, and many fixes are ones your own team can make.

  2. Option 2

    One fix, scoped

Start with the fix that matters most, such as reply time or follow-up. The fee is in writing before anything starts.

  3. Option 3

    An ongoing programme

We run the work, report against the baseline, and you renew on the numbers. The term and the reporting are agreed in writing first.

  4. Option 4

Guidance for your own team or agency

We plan, brief and check the work of your in-house team or current agency, instead of replacing them.

Your brief

Tell us what you need, and we will read it before we call.

Eight short steps about your business, what you want and who decides. Most questions are a tap, and you can skip any you would rather answer on the call.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

How is this different from running Meta ads with a lead form?
A form collects a phone number and waits for you to call. A click-to-WhatsApp ad opens a chat the buyer started, so the first answer can arrive in the same thread. Which suits you depends on how your buyers prefer to enquire.
Do I need the WhatsApp Business API?
Not always. Scope depends on how many chats you expect and who answers them. We agree it in writing after the brief. If the API is needed, WhatsApp Business API setup is the page that covers it.
Can you message people who tapped the ad later?
Only within the platform's current rules and with the buyer's consent. We check those rules at the time and design follow-up around them, never around bulk messages to people who did not ask.
Will the ads produce enquiries or sales?
We cannot promise either. We build the ad, the reply and the record carefully, and we show you the conversations so you can judge the quality of the enquiries yourself.
How is this priced?
There is no published price. The fee is put in writing after the requirements brief, and the ad spend you pay to Meta is separate from our fee.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
