Employer branding · Manufacturing

His mother decides. She is asking what happened the last time something went wrong.

Employer branding for a chemical manufacturer is what a plant operator, shift chemist or safety officer finds before joining, and what his family finds alongside him: the safety practice, the shift pattern and the journey to the estate. GullySales writes the careers page and job posts from what your plant says.

A colliery lamp room seen from the counter: the roller shutter half up over a deep hatch, rows of cap lamps and their batteries hanging on hooks in the recess behind it, a rack of self-rescuers on the wall above, and a check-board of pegs beside the hatch with a single brass tally hanging on it where a lamp has gone out

Where this sits

For chemical manufacturers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • Safety is the hiring conversation, whatever else the page says

A chemical plant carries a reputation in the town around it. What the emergency plan covers and what a new operator is trained on is what he will be asked about at home.

  • The estate is an hour out and that is your real competitor

The job he compares yours with is the one he can cycle to. Bus routes, timings and whether the last bus waits for the handover are worth more than any claim about opportunity.

  • Shift chemists want to know who they can wake up

A reading goes out of range at two in the morning and somebody has to decide. Whether stopping a batch is treated as judgment or as a mistake is the job he is applying for.

  • The effluent plant is somebody's entire career

Your effluent treatment operator is a statutory necessity and an invisible hire. He never appears on the careers page and he is the one you cannot replace in a hurry.

What we do

What we deliver for chemical manufacturers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A careers page written for the plant

The processes, the blocks, the shift pattern, the transport routes, the canteen and the colony if you have one. Written for an operator and for the people he lives with.

Result: Applications from the towns your bus already covers.

  2. Safety practice described, within your own limits

The induction, the refresher training, the protective equipment issued, the drills and who the safety officer is. Written from what your safety officer confirms and nothing beyond it.

Result: The question at home answered before the interview.

  3. A post for each function on the plant

Plant operation, shift chemistry, quality control, maintenance, effluent treatment and safety, each with its own requirement, its own shift and its own qualification.

Result: Applications for the roles you genuinely cannot fill.

  4. Transport and allowance detail in every post

Routes, timings, pick-up points, the shift allowance and the date it is paid. The facts that decide an application from forty kilometres away.

Result: Candidates who apply knowing the journey.

  5. What your operators say about a bad day

Interviews about a shift that went wrong and what happened afterwards, cleared by the people in them and read by your safety officer before it goes up.

Result: Credibility a policy page cannot buy.

  6. A message for the diploma and trade institutes

What goes to the attendant operator and chemical diploma courses you hire from, describing the first year on the plant and who teaches him.

Result: Trainees who arrive with the shift already explained.

How the result is measured

  • Applications received per open role
  • Careers page engagement and time on page
  • Candidate drop-off during the interview process
  • Referral hires as a share of total hires

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, then reported every month against it.

How it works

From your first message to the first monthly report.

No open-ended retainer. Each step has a point in time and something you receive.

  1. 01 · Day 1

    Free audit call

45 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. 02 · Within a few working days

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope and fee come with it, in writing.

  3. 03 · Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later month has an honest comparison.

  4. 04 · Month 1

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. 05 · Every month

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words.

  6. 06 · Month 3 to 6

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. No twelve-month lock.

How the work runs for chemical manufacturers

  1. 1

    Talk to current employees

We interview a cross-section of staff honestly, including some who might raise uncomfortable points.

  2. 2

Find the genuine reasons to join

We identify what is actually true and attractive about working there, rather than generic claims that could apply anywhere.

  3. 3

    Build the careers content

The careers page, job post templates and employee stories are written from what staff actually said.

  4. 4

    Review the candidate experience

We check what happens between application and offer, since branding cannot fix a process that loses candidates through delay.

  5. 5

    Hand over and refresh periodically

Content is handed over for ongoing use and revisited periodically as the team and roles change.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every monthly report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No lock-in, no guarantees we cannot keep

Three to six months at a time. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Are you going to recruit operators for us?
No. We do not source, screen or employ anybody on your behalf, and wages are not our business. The work is the careers page, the job posts and the employee content.
We would rather not discuss safety publicly. Can the page avoid it?
It can, and the silence gets read as an answer. Everybody in the town already holds a view about your plant, and a page describing training, drills and equipment gives them something to check it against. Your safety officer decides what goes up, and statutory obligations are a matter for your own advisers rather than for us.
Most of our floor is contract. Why would branding change anything?
Because contract operators choose between plants in the same estate and talk about it constantly, and the good ones become your permanent hires. If your answer is that they are the contractor's problem, this is the wrong purchase and we would rather say so now than after you have paid.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile usually show in weeks, because the enquiries already exist. Ads show in days once follow-up is ready. SEO and content take months. The audit tells you which applies to you.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 45 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the monthly review.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Every month is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. Terms run three to six months at a time, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
