Truck, trailer and commercial vehicle dealers · Lead generation

Count a lead only when a buyer has said which vehicle, for what use, and by when.

Lead generation for a commercial vehicle dealer is the work of collecting enquiries from calls, WhatsApp, classified sites, the Business Profile, walk-ins and referrals, and sorting the real buyers from the curious. GullySales sets up the sources, records each one and builds the qualifying questions.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

For truck, trailer and commercial vehicle dealers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “A call from a driver is counted as a lead”

A person who wants a job, a spare part or a lift to the service centre is added to the same list as a transporter ready to book a tipper.

  • “Leads from classified sites are shared by many dealers”

The same enquiry reaches four dealers at once, and the one who calls first with a clear answer gets the visit.

  • “Fleet owners rarely fill in a form”

A buyer with several vehicles calls a known salesman, so the lead arrives as a phone call and never enters any register.

What we do

What we deliver for truck, trailer and commercial vehicle dealers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A list of sources and what each should record

Calls, WhatsApp, classifieds, the Business Profile, walk-ins, the service desk and referrals, each with a column in the enquiry register.

Result: You can see which source brings buyers, not just callers.

  2. Four questions for the first call

Which vehicle or body, for what load and route, how will he pay, and when does he want it, written as a short script.

Result: A salesman knows in two minutes whether to visit or to send details.

  3. A rule for who answers and by when

A named salesman for each source, a backup when he is out, and a time limit in your own words that you can actually keep.

Result: No enquiry waits because the salesman was on a delivery.

  4. Missed call handling

A routine for missed calls from a number not in the register, with a WhatsApp message if the call is not answered. For example, a fleet owner rings the showroom from a highway, nobody picks up, and without the routine his number never reaches the register.

Result: A buyer who calls from the road is called back, not lost.

  5. Fleet and repeat buyer outreach

A list of transporters with their fleet size and next likely purchase, contacted by call and visit rather than through forms.

Result: Your largest buyers hear from you before the OEM's next scheme ends.

  6. A regular review of the register

A short sit-down, on a day your sales head sets and holds, to read the enquiries that went cold and decide who calls them again. The dealer holds it, not GullySales.

Result: Cold enquiries get one more try instead of being forgotten.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries generated
  • Cost per enquiry
  • Enquiries by source

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Where enquiries come from

The places a truck buyer reaches a dealer, what to write down for each and how to reply.

Phone calls to the showroom number
Write the caller's name, number, vehicle asked about and use in the register while on the call. Return missed calls from an unknown number, and write down the time limit your team will keep.
WhatsApp messages from the Business Profile or a QR on the yard board
Reply with the vehicle details, the price range and a question about his route and load. Save the chat's key facts in the register, not only on the salesman's phone.
Classified sites for used trucks
Record the site, the vehicle ID and the time the enquiry arrived. Call quickly, because the same lead has gone to other dealers. Note when a buyer says he already visited another yard.
Walk-ins at the yard
Ask for a mobile number before he leaves and note which vehicle he looked at. A walk-in without a number cannot be followed up, so the gate guard may hold a short form.
Finance and service desk conversations
A customer who comes for a loan or a service may also ask about a second vehicle. Give the desk staff a card to pass such names to sales, with the name of the person who passed it.
Referrals from drivers, mechanics and body builders
Record who sent the buyer and thank him on the same day. Do not count him as a lead until the buyer has been called and has named a vehicle.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the lead generation work runs

  1. 1

    Understand your capacity

We agree how many enquiries your sales team can actually handle well, so the system is not built to overwhelm it.

  2. 2

    Audit current sources

We check what already brings in enquiries today, even informally, before adding anything new.

  3. 3

    Strategise the channel mix

Content, search and paid channels are chosen based on where your buyers already look.

  4. 4

    Implement capture and follow-up

Pages, forms and a follow-up process are built and connected end to end.

  5. 5

    Measure and optimise

We track enquiry volume and quality and adjust the channel mix to match.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Should we buy leads from a classified site?
Test it with a small number and record what each lead becomes. Many are shared with other dealers, so reply speed matters more than volume. Stop if bookings do not follow after a fair trial.
What makes an enquiry qualified for a truck dealer?
The buyer has named the vehicle or body type, his use and route, how he will pay, and when he needs it. A person who only asks the price on a model has not qualified yet. Ask the four questions on the first call.
How do we stop the same buyer being counted twice?
Match on the mobile number before adding a new row. If the number already exists, add a note to that row. One buyer asking three dealers' prices is one buyer.
How do we count walk-ins and phone calls from hoardings?
Ask every caller and visitor how he heard of you and write the answer in the register. It will be rough, but after a few weeks it shows which of your efforts is bringing people.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
