Truck, trailer and commercial vehicle dealers · WhatsApp marketing

Put the quotation, the photographs and the finance checklist on the buyer's own WhatsApp.

WhatsApp marketing for a commercial vehicle dealer is the use of the Business app or API to reply to buyers, send quotations and stock photographs, and keep past owners informed with their consent. GullySales sets up the profile, catalogue, templates and opt-in record, and keeps a person on every reply.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

For truck, trailer and commercial vehicle dealers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Salesmen use personal numbers”

When a salesman leaves, the buyer chats, the quotations and the photographs go with him, and the dealership has nothing to follow up.

  • “Broadcasts to every contact in the phone”

Past buyers, drivers and finance agents all receive the same used-truck message, and the ones who never agreed to hear from you block the number.

  • “Photographs arrive without the facts”

A picture of a used tipper with no registration year, odometer reading or location starts a string of questions that a short caption could have answered.

What we do

What we deliver for truck, trailer and commercial vehicle dealers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A business profile with the right number

Name, address, hours, the sales and service numbers kept apart, and a short description of the vehicles you sell.

Result: The buyer sees a dealership, not an individual salesman.

  2. A catalogue of new models and used stock

Each item has a photograph, key specifications and a price range, and used vehicles are removed on the day they are sold.

Result: A buyer can browse before he calls.

  3. Quick replies for the common questions

Price range, payload, finance papers, test drive booking and delivery area, written in the languages your buyers use.

Result: The first reply is always correct and arrives with the vehicle details.

  4. An opt-in record

A column in the register showing who agreed to messages, when, and for what, with a simple way to leave the list.

Result: You message only those who said yes and can prove it.

  5. Message templates for bookings and delivery

Approved messages for a test drive reminder, the papers a buyer must bring, delivery day and the first service.

Result: The buyer is reminded without a salesman typing each one.

  6. A handover rule for chats

Each chat is assigned to a named salesman, and the register notes the next step before the chat is closed.

Result: Nobody is waiting on a reply that nobody owns.

How the result is measured

  • Messages delivered
  • Reply rate
  • Enquiries from WhatsApp

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What must be in place first

What a truck dealership should have before it sends the first WhatsApp message to a past buyer.

Written opt-in from each past buyer
Collect it on the booking form, at delivery and at the service desk, with the date. A buyer's number in your billing system is not consent to receive offers.
A business profile on a number that belongs to the dealership
Register the sales line, not a salesman's personal SIM, and give the managing partner admin access so the chats stay with the dealership.
Message templates for the messages you will really send
A service reminder, a delivery update and a new model invitation. Write them plainly, in the buyer's language, and check WhatsApp's current business policy and pricing before sending at scale.
Who pays and who replies
Decide who covers the platform's charges and which two salesmen answer replies. A template that brings fifty replies to a phone with no one assigned loses more than it gains.
A stop word and a record of it
Tell buyers they can reply STOP, and mark the number in the register the same day. Never message a buyer who has asked to be left alone.
A human reply path
Every automated message should end with a way to reach a person on the sales desk, with the hours when he will answer. A buyer who gets only a bot looks for another dealer.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the whatsapp marketing work runs

  1. 1

    Understand current WhatsApp use

We review how customers currently message you and how consistently, if at all, it is answered.

  2. 2

    Audit common questions

We identify the questions that come up repeatedly, which decide what should be automated first.

  3. 3

    Set up automation and templates

An automated first response and quick reply templates are built for the most common needs.

  4. 4

    Connect to the CRM

Conversations are linked to customer records so context carries over between team members.

  5. 5

    Measure and optimise

We track response time and conversion, refining automated responses based on what customers actually ask.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Can we message every customer in our phones about a new model?
Only those who agreed to hear from you. Ask for consent at the booking, the service desk and the yard, and record it. Check WhatsApp's current business policy before sending anything in bulk.
Should salesmen use the company number or their own?
Use a business number that stays with the dealership. Salesmen can be added as users on the Business app or API so the chats and quotations remain yours when someone leaves.
Is the WhatsApp API needed for a dealership?
Not at the start. The Business app with a catalogue and quick replies is enough for a small team. The API makes sense when several staff share one number or you send approved templates to many past buyers.
Can we send a used truck catalogue to a WhatsApp group?
Groups can annoy and also expose members' numbers. Share a link to your stock page or send a short list to those who have asked for it. Check the platform's current rules before building any group.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
