Business consultants · Reputation management

Control what an owner finds after somebody recommends you.

Reputation management for a consultant is what an owner finds when they search your name after a referral, and whether it matches the person the referrer described. GullySales watches those results, corrects the stale profiles and works out in advance how you answer a client who says something in public.

A statue plinth seen close: the bronze figure implied only by its feet and the hem of its drapery above the top of the frame, one face of the stone pedestal scrubbed pale and the other still grimy and carrying a scrawl of paint, with a pressure hose coiled on the steps beside a bucket, brushes and cloths

What reputation management means

Reputation management is watching what is said about your business across Google, social media and review sites, and responding to it before it changes a buyer's mind. GullySales monitors mentions, drafts responses to negative reviews and flags recurring complaints back to your team.

For business consultants

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • The name being searched is the partner's, not the firm's

An owner checks the person who will sit across the table. A LinkedIn profile and an old bio on a previous employer's site count for more than the company page.

  • A grievance about scope lands on Google, not on your desk

A disagreement about what the fee covered can turn up as a review months later. A short factual reply, with the dispute itself settled privately, is what a reader looks for.

  • Confidentiality rules out the reviews everyone else uses

The family business you restructured will not post about it. Proof comes from referees who agreed in writing and an anonymised account of the work.

What we do

What we deliver for business consultants.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. The partner's name watched, not only the firm's

Alerts on the person, the practice and any previous employer they are still listed under, since the owner searches the individual.

Result: You see what an owner sees before he sees it.

  2. Old profiles on former employers and directories corrected

Outdated bios, wrong designations, dead listings and the association pages that still carry a decade-old description of your work.

Result: Nothing online describes a consultant you no longer are.

  3. Two referees briefed and ready to take a call

Past clients who have agreed in writing to speak for you, matched to the kind of engagement being discussed, with a note on what each can say.

Result: A serious prospect gets a phone number instead of a testimonial.

  4. An account of the work your engagement letter allows

The industry, the problem and what changed, written without the client's name and checked against the confidentiality terms you signed.

Result: You can show what you have done without breaking a word of it.

  5. A drafted reply for a public complaint about scope or fee

Short, factual, unarguing, with the disagreement itself settled directly with the client rather than in a review thread.

Result: An owner reading it sees how you behave under criticism.

How the result is measured

  • Average rating
  • Response time to reviews
  • Negative mentions resolved

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, then reported every month against it.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first monthly report.

No open-ended retainer. Each step has a point in time and something you receive.

  1. 01 · Day 1

    Free audit call

45 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. 02 · Within a few working days

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope and fee come with it, in writing.

  3. 03 · Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later month has an honest comparison.

  4. 04 · Month 1

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. 05 · Every month

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words.

  6. 06 · Month 3 to 6

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. No twelve-month lock.

How the work runs for business consultants

  1. 1

    Assess

We trace where your last engagements came from, how proposals convert and where the pipeline depends on one person or one referrer.

  2. 2

    Sharpen the position

One clear statement of the problem you solve and for whom, with service pages written around owner problems.

  3. 3

    Make the work visible

Anonymised case studies, articles and LinkedIn posts in the partner's voice.

  4. 4

    Widen the sources

A referral programme with CAs, bankers and associations, search pages for specific problems, and outreach to past clients.

  5. 5

    Close and continue

A proposal follow-up schedule and a follow-on offer planned before each engagement ends.

Proof

What happened when owners fixed this.

Real clients, the work we did, and the result as it was recorded. Where no number was recorded, none is claimed.

    Situation
There was no settled visual identity, so nothing on the page told a prospect what kind of firm this was.

    • The site audited, then rebuilt
    • Market and competitor research
    Result

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every monthly report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No lock-in, no guarantees we cannot keep

Three to six months at a time. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

A former client has written something unfair about us. What now?
Reply once, briefly, without arguing in public, then settle it with the client directly. An owner reading it cares how you behave under criticism, not who was right.
We have no reviews at all. Is that a problem?
Less than you fear for advisory work, though an empty listing beside a competitor with twelve reviews raises a question. Two referees a serious prospect can ring will answer it.
How can we market our work if every client is confidential?
Describe the problem and the approach without the name. For example, an account of how an auto component supplier fixed its costing is useful proof with no name attached. Some clients will also agree to be named once asked properly.
Should a consultant specialise or stay general?
Specialise in how you are presented, even if you take broader work. Owners search for their problem, and a consultant known for one thing gets referred more often than one who does everything.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
Three to six months at a time. There is no twelve-month lock, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile usually show in weeks, because the enquiries already exist. Ads show in days once follow-up is ready. SEO and content take months. The audit tells you which applies to you.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 45 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the monthly review.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Every month is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. Terms run three to six months at a time, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
