Ecommerce and D2C brands · Content marketing

The writing that sells most sits on the product page, not the blog.

Content for a D2C brand is the answer to whatever stops the order: the size, the ingredient, the comparison, the question about how long it lasts. GullySales pulls those out of your support tickets and reviews, writes them onto the pages themselves, and measures what they recovered.

What content marketing means

Content marketing is writing articles, guides and pages that answer the questions buyers search before they are ready to enquire. This makes your business visible and trusted before the first call. GullySales plans this content from the free audit onward, choosing topics that match real search demand rather than guesses.

For ecommerce and D2C brands

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • Your support inbox is the editorial calendar

The same five questions arrive every week. Answering them on the page removes the ticket and the abandoned cart together.

  • A size guide nobody believes costs you twice

Once when she does not order, and again when she orders two sizes and sends one back. Real garment measurements beat a small, medium, large chart.

  • Considered purchases are decided over weeks

A mattress or a sofa gets researched for a month. What carries a buyer across that gap is a run of useful emails, not a retargeting ad every day.

  • Food and supplement brands sell the occasion

A recipe or a morning routine gives somebody a reason to use more of the product. That is the only writing in this category that moves a reorder date.

What we do

What we deliver for ecommerce and D2C brands.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. An objection list built from tickets and reviews

The reasons people hesitate, counted from what they actually wrote, ranked by how often each one appears before a cart is abandoned.

Result: You write about what stops the order.

  2. Product page answers written in place

Sizing, materials, shipping cost, returns and the comparison she is quietly making, written into the page rather than hidden behind a tab.

Result: The doubt is answered where it happens.

  3. A fit guide with real measurements

Product dimensions, model measurements and the fit notes customers left in their reviews, set out so a buyer can check against something she already owns.

Result: Returns for the wrong size fall.

  4. Comparison pages for the alternatives she is weighing

An honest page against each substitute, naming the buyer who should choose the other one, written so it can be read without being sold to.

Result: You appear in the comparison she was going to run anyway.

  5. A sequence for the long deliberation

On considered purchases, a set of emails covering the questions that surface over weeks, written once and triggered by browsing rather than by a calendar.

Result: You are still there when she decides.

  6. Assisted revenue read per piece

Which pages a converting visitor touched, and what moved on the products where an objection was answered, set against the first week's figures.

Result: Writing stops being an act of faith.

How the result is measured

  • Pages published
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from content pages

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, then reported every month against it.

Who it is for

This is written for these ecommerce and D2C brands.

  • Single-product and founder-led D2C brands
  • Apparel, footwear and accessories brands
  • Beauty, skincare and personal care brands
  • Supplements, food and beverage brands
  • Home goods, furniture and higher-value considered purchases
  • Subscription and replenishment brands
  • Brands selling on Amazon and their own Shopify store
  • Wholesale-first brands building a direct channel
  • Brands past their first million with no in-house marketing team

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first monthly report.

No open-ended retainer. Each step has a point in time and something you receive.

  1. 01 · Day 1

    Free audit call

45 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. 02 · Within a few working days

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope and fee come with it, in writing.

  3. 03 · Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later month has an honest comparison.

  4. 04 · Month 1

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. 05 · Every month

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words.

  6. 06 · Month 3 to 6

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. No twelve-month lock.

How the work runs for ecommerce and D2C brands

  1. 1

    Work out the actual numbers

The free audit call goes through cost of goods, shipping, returns and ad spend against orders, and tells you what your first order is really worth.

  2. 2

    Stop the losses first

The flows that were never built, the product page that loses the order, and the line coming back in a returns bag. None of this needs more media spend.

  3. 3

    Feed the channels properly

A steady supply of creative, a clean product feed, and marketplace listings that match the quality of your own site.

  4. 4

    Open the second revenue line

Wholesale, bulk and gifting enquiries answered and chased, with line sheets and terms ready instead of being written each time from scratch.

  5. 5

Report on contribution, not on ROAS

A monthly report on what each channel and cohort left behind after costs, set against the baseline recorded before the work began.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every monthly report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No lock-in, no guarantees we cannot keep

Three to six months at a time. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • Hours that fit your day, agreed up front

Which hours we overlap with yours is settled before any work starts, so you know when a reply is coming and when it is not.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Does a blog do anything for a brand like ours?
Rarely, in the form most agencies sell it. Posts written for search volume bring readers who were never going to buy. The writing that pays sits on the product page and in the email sequence.
Do we write it ourselves?
We draft it and you correct the product facts. Nobody outside your business knows why the stitching changed or what a batch smells like, and that detail is the reason the page is worth reading.
Our agency reports 4x ROAS and we are still losing money. Which is right?
Both, in a sense, which is the problem. Platform ROAS counts revenue the platform believes it caused, before cost of goods, shipping, fees and returns. Contribution margin counts what was left. We rebuild the second number from your own data in the audit, and it is usually the first honest conversation a brand has had in a year.
Who would actually run our ad accounts?
The same people you meet on the audit call, with no account managers in between. Overlap hours with your day are agreed in writing before anything starts, which matters most around a launch or a peak weekend.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
Three to six months at a time. There is no twelve-month lock, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile usually show in weeks, because the enquiries already exist. Ads show in days once follow-up is ready. SEO and content take months. The audit tells you which applies to you.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 45 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the monthly review.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Every month is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. Terms run three to six months at a time, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
