GullySales

Ecommerce and D2C brands · Reputation management

What she reads before buying is a forum thread, not your testimonials.

Reputation for a D2C brand sits in three places at once: reviews on your product pages, reviews on the marketplace, and threads you did not write. GullySales times the review request to delivery, writes the replies to the complaints you actually get, and keeps the consent record straight.

A statue plinth seen close: the bronze figure implied only by its feet and the hem of its drapery above the top of the frame, one face of the stone pedestal scrubbed pale and the other still grimy and carrying a scrawl of paint, with a pressure hose coiled on the steps beside a bucket, brushes and cloths

What reputation management means

Reputation management is watching what is said about your business across Google, social media and review sites, and responding to it before it changes a buyer's mind. GullySales monitors mentions, drafts responses to negative reviews and flags recurring complaints back to your team.

For ecommerce and D2C brands

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • Asking on dispatch asks on the wrong day

A request sent when the label prints reaches someone who has not opened the box. Fired on delivery, the same email comes back with a photograph.

  • The marketplace rating can sink the direct one

A buyer puts your own five stars next to the marketplace's three point eight and believes the lower number. The two are read together.

  • Most one-star reviews are really about a carrier

The parcel sat in a depot for four days. Your reply has to say what you did, because the next reader is deciding whether to risk the same wait.

  • The rules on collecting reviews have tightened

What may be offered for a review, and what has to be disclosed, carries real penalties now. Your attorney decides that, not a marketing firm.

What we do

What we deliver for ecommerce and D2C brands.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Review requests fired on delivery

Requests triggered by the carrier's delivery event instead of dispatch, with a second ask for photographs on the products where a picture settles the doubt.

Result: More reviews arrive, and they have pictures.

  2. A reply routine for delivery and fit complaints

Written replies for the four complaints behind most of your one stars, each saying what was done rather than apologising in general terms.

Result: The next reader sees a brand that fixes things.

  3. Watching for the threads you did not write

Alerts on your name across forums, video comments and community posts, checked weekly so a discussion is joined while it is still live.

Result: You hear it before a customer quotes it back at you.

  4. Reviews shown where the objection lives

Reviews pulled onto the product page beside the sizing, ingredient or durability question they answer, marked up so stars appear in search results.

Result: Proof sits where the doubt is.

  5. A consent and disclosure record

Permission for customer photographs, the exact wording used to request reviews, and creator disclosure kept in one file your attorney can read on request.

Result: Nothing rests on remembering what was agreed.

  6. A monthly read of what reviews complain about

Themes counted rather than skimmed, split by product and size, and taken to whoever buys the stock instead of being filed with marketing.

Result: The complaint gets fixed at source.

How the result is measured

  • Average rating
  • Response time to reviews
  • Negative mentions resolved

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, then reported every month against it.

Who it is for

This is written for these ecommerce and D2C brands.

  • Single-product and founder-led D2C brands
  • Apparel, footwear and accessories brands
  • Beauty, skincare and personal care brands
  • Supplements, food and beverage brands
  • Home goods, furniture and higher-value considered purchases
  • Subscription and replenishment brands
  • Brands selling on Amazon and their own Shopify store
  • Wholesale-first brands building a direct channel
  • Brands past their first million with no in-house marketing team

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first monthly report.

No open-ended retainer. Each step has a point in time and something you receive.

  1. 01 · Day 1

    Free audit call

45 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. 02 · Within a few working days

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope and fee come with it, in writing.

  3. 03 · Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later month has an honest comparison.

  4. 04 · Month 1

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. 05 · Every month

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words.

  6. 06 · Month 3 to 6

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. No twelve-month lock.

How the work runs for ecommerce and D2C brands

  1. 1

    Work out the actual numbers

The free audit call goes through cost of goods, shipping, returns and ad spend against orders, and tells you what your first order is really worth.

  2. 2

    Stop the losses first

The flows that were never built, the product page that loses the order, and the line coming back in a returns bag. None of this needs more media spend.

  3. 3

    Feed the channels properly

A steady supply of creative, a clean product feed, and marketplace listings that match the quality of your own site.

  4. 4

    Open the second revenue line

Wholesale, bulk and gifting enquiries answered and chased, with line sheets and terms ready instead of being written each time from scratch.

  5. 5

Report on contribution, not on ROAS

A monthly report on what each channel and cohort left behind after costs, set against the baseline recorded before the work began.

Proof

What happened when owners fixed this.

Real clients, the work we did, and the result as it was recorded. Where no number was recorded, none is claimed.

  • France Fox

    Situation
Eco claims are common enough in menswear that buyers discount them on sight. France Fox had a real production story and nowhere to set it out, which is the wrong way round.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every monthly report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No lock-in, no guarantees we cannot keep

Three to six months at a time. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • Hours that fit your day, agreed up front

Which hours we overlap with yours is settled before any work starts, so you know when a reply is coming and when it is not.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Can we give a discount code for leaving a review?
Ask your attorney before you do. The rules here have moved and the exposure sits with the brand, not the platform. Safe in every version: ask everybody, keep the incentive unconnected to what they write, and disclose it plainly.
Someone is criticising us in a long forum thread. Do we reply?
Reply once, under a real name, with the specific thing you did. Communities punish a marketing voice harder than they punish the original complaint. If the criticism is fair, say so and say what changed.
Our agency reports 4x ROAS and we are still losing money. Which is right?
Both, in a sense, which is the problem. Platform ROAS counts revenue the platform believes it caused, before cost of goods, shipping, fees and returns. Contribution margin counts what was left. We rebuild the second number from your own data in the audit, and it is usually the first honest conversation a brand has had in a year.
Who would actually run our ad accounts?
The same people you meet on the audit call, with no account managers in between. Overlap hours with your day are agreed in writing before anything starts, which matters most around a launch or a peak weekend.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
Three to six months at a time. There is no twelve-month lock, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile usually show in weeks, because the enquiries already exist. Ads show in days once follow-up is ready. SEO and content take months. The audit tells you which applies to you.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 45 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the monthly review.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Every month is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. Terms run three to six months at a time, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
