Flower shops · Customer retention

Turn one anniversary bouquet into a standing order for the office.

Retention for a florist is the corporate account that keeps renewing and the customer whose anniversary you remember before they do. GullySales builds the date list out of your past orders and sets up the standing arrangement that keeps a hotel or an office ordering week after week.

A 90-minute audit call and a written, scored report. Turnaround, reporting and term are agreed in writing after the audit.

What customer retention means

Customer retention is keeping an existing customer buying again rather than losing them to a competitor after the first purchase, usually cheaper than winning a new customer. GullySales sets a routine of check-ins and renewal reminders aimed at customers before they show signs of leaving.

For flower shops

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Your best customer is a reception desk, not a romantic”

An office lobby taking a fresh arrangement each week is worth more over a year than any individual buyer, and it is lost quietly by one late delivery.

  • “Anniversary dates are the one thing a florist knows for certain”

Every card message you wrote last year carries a date. Wedding anniversary, birthday, parents' anniversary, all repeating, all sitting in your order book.

  • “A discount card does not fit an occasion purchase”

Somebody buys flowers four times a year for reasons that have nothing to do with price. Remembering the date beats any loyalty scheme you could run.

What we do

What we deliver for flower shops.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. An occasion diary built from last year's card messages

Each past order turned into a dated entry with the recipient, the occasion and what was sent, so next year's reminder already knows the answer.

Result: You reach the customer before the date with what they chose last time.

  2. A standing arrangement offer for hotels, offices and clinics

A written proposal for weekly or fortnightly arrangements setting out the vase, the day, the changeover and the price per delivery.

Result: A one-off corporate order turns into a recurring line in the order book.

  3. A service check after every corporate delivery run

A short question to the person who signs for the arrangement, so a complaint reaches you instead of building until the account is cancelled.

Result: You hear about the problem while it is still fixable.

  4. A win-back note for the account that stopped

A message to hotels and offices that lapsed, asking directly what changed, with an offer to come and look at the lobby again.

Result: You find out whether you lost on price or on a missed delivery.

  5. Same-day buyers moved onto a reminder list with consent

A recorded yes at the counter or in the chat, so next year's anniversary reminder is expected rather than intrusive.

Result: The reminder reads as a service instead of a broadcast.

  6. Repeat and renewal rates read against the baseline

Repeat senders, standing accounts held and lost, and the share of orders coming from past customers, set beside the baseline recorded before work started.

Result: You can see whether the shop is keeping customers or replacing them.

How the result is measured

  • Retention rate
  • Repeat purchase rate
  • Customers won back

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Who it is for

This is written for these flower shops.

  • Neighbourhood flower shops
  • Wedding and event florists
  • Corporate and hotel flower suppliers
  • Online flower delivery services
  • Florists specialising in funeral and sympathy arrangements
  • Florists inside malls and commercial complexes

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Each step has a point in time and something you receive.

  1. 01 · Day 1

    Free audit call

90 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. 02 · After the call

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come with it, in writing.

  3. 03 · Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later month has an honest comparison.

  4. 04 · Month 1

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. 05 · As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. 06 · At the end of the term

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the work runs for flower shops

  1. 1

    Assess

We look at how the shop appears for the same-day, urgent search, how wedding enquiries are quoted, and whether corporate standing orders are being pursued at all.

  2. 2

Fix the profile and the delivery promise

Google Business Profile set up for the delivery radius and hours, and a clear, honest same-day delivery promise the team can actually keep.

  3. 3

Build the wedding and event portfolio

A page of real past arrangements organised by style and budget, so a couple can judge quality before asking for a quote.

  4. 4

    Win same-day and planned orders

Local search and Google Ads for urgent searches, and outreach with the portfolio for wedding planners and venues.

  5. 5

    Win and keep corporate accounts

A pitch for standing weekly arrangements to hotels and offices, and a reliability record that protects the account at renewal.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

How do we keep a hotel account once we have won it?
By never missing a Monday, and by talking to the person who signs for it. Most standing accounts are lost over a fortnight of small slips rather than a price rise. Put the delivery on a schedule somebody owns, and check in after each run.
Is it worth reminding someone about last year's Valentine's order?
Yes, if they agreed to hear from you. A note shortly before, naming what they sent last time and the delivery cut-off, saves them a decision. That is the rare marketing message people thank you for.
How is marketing different for same-day orders versus weddings?
Same-day orders need speed and a strong local search presence; weddings need a portfolio and patience over weeks. We build both, tracked separately.
Do we need ads for Valentine's Day and Mother's Day?
Usually yes, in the week before. Searches for flower delivery jump around these dates, and many orders are placed only a day or two ahead. A small, radius-limited ad budget then catches buyers your profile alone would miss.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after the audit, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile usually show in weeks, because the enquiries already exist. Ads show in days once follow-up is ready. SEO and content take months. The audit tells you which applies to you.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 90 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the review meetings.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
