Roofing contractors · Home services

Win the shed roof before the monsoon deadline, not after the first leak.

The call arrives while the crew is on a roof. A factory owner wants the shed sheeted before the rains, and the first roofer who picks up and asks for the area and a photograph gets the site visit. The second number on the list gets a missed call.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

Realistic editorial illustration of roofing contractors at work in the United States

In one paragraph

Marketing for a roofing contractor puts your company in front of factory owners, builders and homeowners when a shed, a terrace or a godown needs a roof. Sales is the part after: the site visit, the quotation, the call that keeps it alive. GullySales answers the enquiries, chases every quotation and keeps the crew booked.

The off-season is quieter and harder. Quotations sit for weeks while a partner or a bank agrees the budget, and the owner signs with whoever rang back. Most roofers lose more work to silence after the quotation than to the rate.

How buyers decide

How roofing contractors are chosen.

A factory or warehouse owner roofs on a deadline, usually the monsoon. The enquiry goes to two or three contractors from Google, JustDial or a neighbouring unit. The job goes to the one who visited the shed, measured the roof and sent a clear quotation with the sheet thickness, the structure and the fixing written out. A past shed of the same size settles most of the rest.

A builder or an architect decides earlier. They specify the roof system, choose a contractor from experience and judge the firm on method, safety at height and projects already finished. Housing societies buy terrace sheds, car park roofs and polycarbonate cover by committee, and homeowners buy by recommendation and a WhatsApp conversation with photographs.

A repeat route never touches an advertisement. A plant that you roofed calls again for an extension, a leak or insulation, and tells the unit next door. Those enquiries arrive by phone and WhatsApp, and they are the ones most often lost in a busy week.

The problem

What usually goes wrong for roofing contractors.

What owners tell us on the first call, in their words.

  • “The phone rings while we are on the roof and nobody picks up”

Everybody in the office is on site or on another call, the enquiry goes to voicemail, and by evening the owner has booked a visit with the next roofer.

  • “Our quotations go out and then nothing happens”

A shed roof quotation sits with the owner for six weeks. Nobody calls. They sign with the roofer who rang back when the budget was released.

  • “Owners compare our rate with a quotation that includes less”

A thinner sheet, no insulation, fewer fasteners and no structure work make another quotation look cheaper, and our written scope does not explain the difference.

  • “Builders and architects call us only when the tender is closed”

We reach them late with a price, when a roofer they already know has written the specification.

  • “We cannot say which enquiries came from where”

Google, JustDial, the dealer, site boards and a customer's recommendation all arrive as calls on the same number, so we decide the budget on a feeling.

  • “Every shed we have roofed is a stranger to us now”

We have roofed many sheds and godowns and have no list of those owners to call about a check, an extension or the unit next door.

What we do

What we do for roofing contractors.

Everything included for roofing contractors, and the result each part is there to produce.

  1. An enquiry routine for calls and WhatsApp

Who answers, who books site visits, the first message sent back and the hours our team covers call-backs, agreed with you in writing.

Result: Enquiries turn into site visits instead of missed calls.

  2. A quotation that explains the roof

A clear layout covering the sheet type and thickness, the structure, insulation, fixing, exclusions and photographs from the visit.

Result: The owner has something to compare beyond a rate.

  3. Every quotation followed up

A call and a WhatsApp message on a written schedule, with notes on who decides and when the budget is released.

Result: Quotes that used to go quiet get a second and third conversation.

  4. Project pages and a company profile

Area, span, sheet, structure and photographs for each finished shed, collected into pages and a profile for factory and builder buyers.

Result: A plant manager sees a roof like theirs already standing.

  5. Reviews asked for at handover and after the first rains

A WhatsApp request with a one-tap link, and a reply to every review including the critical one about the leak.

Result: A buyer reads reviews from roofs that held.

  6. A list of past owners you can reach

Every completed job in one sheet with the site, roof type, date, contact and consent, ready for a check or an extension.

Result: A repair, an insulation job or the unit next door comes back to you.

  7. Builder and architect outreach

A list of the builders, architects and PEB consultants near you, a capability sheet and a record of who sent which job.

Result: Specification work reaches you before the tender.

How the result is measured

  • Calls and messages answered against missed
  • Site visits booked from each source
  • Quotations sent against jobs signed
  • Days from site visit to signature
  • Cost per booked site visit from paid search
  • Reviews earned per finished roof

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Worth a page and a campaign of their own

Factory and warehouse shed roofing · PEB roof sheeting and re-roofing · Polycarbonate roofs for terraces and car parks · Colour coated sheet roofing for homes and farms · Tile roofing with timber or steel frames · Roof insulation and heat reduction · Skylights and translucent sheets in sheds · Roof leak repair and fastener replacement · Yearly pre-monsoon roof checks

Priority campaigns

Campaigns for what roofing contractors most want to sell.

Each one planned around when your buyers decide, and measured against the baseline.

  • Pre-monsoon shed roofing campaign

Search and WhatsApp outreach in the weeks before the rains, to factories, warehouses and farms with older sheets, offering a roof inspection and a quotation.

Result: Roofs are booked while the crew has room and the deadline is clear.

  • Winter shed building campaign

Advertising and builder outreach for owners planning new sheds and extensions, with PEB and structure cases shown.

Result: There is work booked before the next monsoon rush.

  • Polycarbonate and terrace shed campaign

Instagram, search and housing society outreach for terrace sheds, car park roofs and skylights, with finished photographs and a price guide.

Result: Homeowners and societies see the work before they ask for it.

  • Roof insulation and heat campaign

A page and advertising in March and April for sheds and top-floor roofs that become too hot, with insulated sheet and coating options.

Result: Paid work arrives in the dry months before the rains.

  • Repair and maintenance campaign to past roofs

A WhatsApp and email programme to every roof you have built, before the rains, offering a check of sheets, laps and fasteners.

Result: Crews stay busy between new roofs.

Beyond search

Where we reach buyers of roofing contractors, beyond Google.

Search matters, but it is rarely the only way this industry's buyers find a supplier.

  • Builders and project managers

We prepare a capability sheet, past project records and an introduction for builders planning sheds, warehouses and terraces.

  • Architects and PEB consultants

We prepare a roof system note and site references for the practices that specify the roof at design stage.

  • Sheet and structure dealers

We use the dealer and manufacturer support your suppliers offer, such as enquiry referrals and co-branded material, and track each lead.

  • Industrial estate associations and housing societies

We keep a list of estates and societies near you, prepare material for their committees before the rains and record who responded.

  • Neighbours of the site you are on

A board, a handout and an introduction for the units either side of the shed, prepared for the crew to use while the site is open.

Who it is for

This is written for these roofing contractors.

  • Metal and colour coated sheet roofing contractors
  • PEB and factory shed roofing contractors
  • Polycarbonate and skylight roofing installers
  • Terrace shed and car park roof installers
  • Tile roofing and truss contractors
  • Roof insulation and cool roof specialists

  • Warehouse and cold storage roofing contractors

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the work runs for roofing contractors

  1. 1

    Assess

We start by tracing last season's enquiries. How many were answered, how many became a site visit, and how many quotations were chased after they went out?

  2. 2

    Fix the phone

An answering and WhatsApp routine, a tracked number on every source, and agreed hours for the call-backs our team makes.

  3. 3

    Rebuild the quotation

A clear layout with the sheet, the structure, the insulation and the exclusions, and a follow-up schedule measured in weeks.

  4. 4

    Bring the work in

The Google profile, pages for each roof type and city, and a review asked for at handover and after the first rains.

  5. 5

    Keep the estate

Past owners, builders, architects and dealers contacted in line with the roofing year, so a quiet month has something in it.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

Engagement options

Ways to work with us.

Pick the size of commitment that fits. Every option starts with your brief and a conversation.

  1. Option 1

    The conversation on its own

A call after you send your brief. It says honestly whether you need outside help, and many fixes are ones your own team can make.

  2. Option 2

    One fix, scoped

Start with the fix that matters most, such as reply time or follow-up. The fee is in writing before anything starts.

  3. Option 3

    An ongoing programme

We run the work, report against the baseline, and you renew on the numbers. The term and the reporting are agreed in writing first.

  4. Option 4

Guidance for your own team or agency

We plan, brief and check the work of your in-house team or current agency, instead of replacing them.

Your brief

FAQ

Questions roofing contractors ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Can you handle our calls while the crew is on site?
Within the hours we agree, yes, and that window is settled against your working day before anything starts. Inside it we take call-backs, ask for the area and a photograph, and book site visits. Nights and Sundays stay with your own team, and we will say so.
Will you quote for us or set our rates?
No. Rates, structure and sheet decisions stay with your engineers. What we change is the layout of the quotation and the follow-up after it, so the scope is clear to the owner and the quotation is not forgotten.
How much does this cost?
There is no price list. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, the scope and fee are put in writing, split three ways: our time, your advertising spend, and production such as photography or a company profile. For a roofer the spend line is usually the largest.
Do we need JustDial, Google Ads and Instagram together?
Rarely. Start with the Google profile and search for leaks and new sheds, since that is where the urgent enquiry is. Add JustDial and Instagram once someone reliably answers, because a shared lead goes to whoever rings first.
Our reviews are old. Does that matter?
More than the rating does. An owner comparing three roofers looks for a recent review from a site like theirs. Asking at handover and again after the first rains is what changes it.
Why hire this out instead of putting someone in the office?
Because the work that loses you jobs is not on the roof. It is the call nobody answered, the quotation nobody chased and the past owners nobody can contact. That work runs on a laptop and a phone line, and it carries on when your one office person is away.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile are the quickest to show, because the enquiries already exist. Ads can follow soon after follow-up is in place. SEO and content take longer. How long each takes depends on your business, and we tell you which applies to you after we have spoken. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
To start, last month's enquiries in any format and time with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM.
