Bars, pubs and microbreweries · Social media

Show the room, the music and the crowd without selling a single drink.

Social media marketing for a bar, pub or microbrewery uses Instagram and Facebook to show the venue, the events and the food. GullySales plans the posts around the room and the programme, and keeps alcohol brands, prices and drinking offers out of every caption.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What social media means

Social media is the ongoing posting your business does on platforms such as Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn to stay visible to customers and prospects between purchases. GullySales plans a posting calendar, writes captions and designs the images so the page looks active and answers what a visitor would ask.

For bars, pubs and microbreweries

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The post should sell the evening”

A reel of the live set, the terrace at dusk or the kitchen plating a dish tells a guest what the night is like. A caption listing drinks does the opposite and invites trouble.

  • “Rules for alcohol posts differ by state”

What may be said online about alcohol is regulated and varies. The safe route is to ask your own adviser and keep posts to venue, food, music and events.

  • “Staff and guests appear in photographs”

A guest filmed without agreement can complain, and an employee has a say in being shown. Ask first, and take down a post when someone asks.

What we do

What we deliver for bars, pubs and microbreweries.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Content plan around the programme

A calendar of posts built on the venue's event nights, match days and kitchen specials.

Result: Posts reflect what the venue actually does.

  2. Caption guide

Do and do-not lines for captions, agreed with the owner and the adviser.

Result: Every caption stays within the limits you set.

  3. Event announcement format

A repeatable post with the date, time, entry rule and booking link.

Result: Each event is announced in the same clear way.

  4. Guest consent routine

A simple way of asking before a guest or staff member appears in a video.

Result: Posts avoid complaints about privacy.

  5. Comment and message replies

Replies drafted for booking questions, lost property and complaints.

Result: Guests who write get an answer in the venue's voice.

How the result is measured

  • Posts published
  • Engagement rate
  • Enquiries from social profiles

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the social media work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Understand your audience and platforms

We identify which platforms your specific buyers actually use and what kind of content they respond to.

  2. 2

    Audit current presence

We review existing pages, past content performance and any gaps in consistency.

  3. 3

    Build the content calendar

A plan is created, balancing genuine value with occasional direct offers.

  4. 4

    Implement and post

Content is created and published consistently on the agreed schedule.

  5. 5

    Measure and optimise

We track enquiries alongside engagement and adjust the content mix based on what actually performs.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Can we run paid promotion for the pub?
Check the platform's current rules and the rules in your state before promoting any venue that serves alcohol. Promotion should describe the venue, event or food, and be aimed only at an adult audience.
Should the bartenders feature in videos?
Only if they agree. A bartender's craft can be shown as a skill without naming products or prices. Keep the focus on the person and the service, and review each video with your adviser's rules in mind.
What do we do about a guest's drunk-behaviour video that goes online?
Do not share it. Ask the person who posted it to remove it if it shows guests, and speak to your adviser if it raises a legal issue. Your own posts should never celebrate excess.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
