Eco resorts · Social media

Post what a guest would see on the walk, not the word green on a leaf.

Social media marketing for an eco resort is the use of Instagram, Facebook and video to show the place, the people and the practices that a guest cannot judge from a brochure. GullySales works on what to post, how to frame it honestly and how to turn an interested viewer into an enquiry.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What social media means

Social media is the ongoing posting your business does on platforms such as Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn to stay visible to customers and prospects between purchases. GullySales plans a posting calendar, writes captions and designs the images so the page looks active and answers what a visitor would ask.

For eco resorts

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Beauty shots are everywhere”

Every lodge posts the misty morning and the treehouse. A viewer scrolls past it. The post that stops them shows a particular thing: the naturalist pointing out a nest, the kitchen compost bins, the villager who runs the boat.

  • “The guest checks the comments and the tags”

Travellers open the tagged photographs to see how the place looks when a stranger shot it. Guest posts from the room and the trail carry more trust than studio images, and a lodge that shares them is believed.

  • “Short video does the explaining”

A sixty-second clip of the rainwater tank, the solar water heater or the plastic-free tray answers a question that three paragraphs would not. A manager with a phone can film it on a walk around the property.

  • “Followers spot greenwashing at once”

Followers who care about the environment notice a claim with no detail. A post that names what the lodge does and also admits what it has not solved earns replies and saves, which tells the platform to show it more.

What we do

What we deliver for eco resorts.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A content plan from your own practices

A list of posts drawn from the real systems, people and routines at the lodge, with the facts checked by the manager.

Result: Each post shows one verifiable thing.

  2. A shooting guide for a phone

Simple instructions for light, framing and sound so the team can film the kitchen, the trail and the arrival.

Result: The lodge can produce posts without a studio.

  3. A guest-photo permission routine

A polite way to ask guests if their photos can be reposted, with credit.

Result: The feed includes real guest pictures with consent.

  4. Captions that carry the booking route

Each post ends with the WhatsApp number or the enquiry page, written in plain words.

Result: A viewer knows how to ask about dates.

  5. A look at what drew enquiries

Saves, shares and messages compared with enquiries recorded in your log.

Result: You see which posts led to conversations.

How the result is measured

  • Posts published
  • Engagement rate
  • Enquiries from social profiles

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the social media work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Understand your audience and platforms

We identify which platforms your specific buyers actually use and what kind of content they respond to.

  2. 2

    Audit current presence

We review existing pages, past content performance and any gaps in consistency.

  3. 3

    Build the content calendar

A plan is created, balancing genuine value with occasional direct offers.

  4. 4

    Implement and post

Content is created and published consistently on the agreed schedule.

  5. 5

    Measure and optimise

We track enquiries alongside engagement and adjust the content mix based on what actually performs.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Do we need an influencer?
Not necessarily. A creator who covers wildlife or slow travel can reach the right audience, but pick one whose followers visit places like yours. We choose and brief with you, and you decide who to host.
Which platform matters most?
Instagram and Facebook are where Indian travellers look for stays, with YouTube for longer video. Start where your guests already are and where your team can keep posting without strain.
Can we promise guests what they will see?
Do not promise wildlife sightings. Say what a walk offers, what has been seen in the past and that sightings are not guaranteed. A guest who has read this will value what they do see.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
