Luxury hotels · Local SEO

Be the hotel the map shows when a guest searches your city at midnight.

Local SEO for a luxury hotel is the work of appearing in Google Maps and the hotel panel for searches tied to your city, your neighbourhood and the attractions around you. GullySales works on the Business Profile, the photographs, the review replies and the details a guest checks before writing.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What local SEO means

Local SEO is the work of making your business show up for searches that name your town or locality, such as a service plus an area name. GullySales sets up locality pages, local citations and map listings so nearby customers find you before a competitor across town.

For luxury hotels

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The guest reads the profile before the website”

A traveller planning a stay opens the hotel panel, looks at the photographs, scrolls the reviews and checks the address on the map. If the profile is thin or out of date, the website is never opened.

  • “Local guests are a second market”

People in your own city book the spa day, the Sunday brunch and the anniversary dinner. They search by area, not by hotel name, and the map result decides which restaurant or spa they walk into.

  • “Photographs set the price the guest expects”

A profile full of corridor and lobby images attracts the wrong comparison. Pictures of the suite view at dusk, the pool and the dining room tell the guest what the rate is buying before any text is read.

What we do

What we deliver for luxury hotels.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A fully completed Business Profile

Name, description, attributes, accessibility details, services, hours and links entered correctly and matched with the website.

Result: The profile answers a guest's first questions without a call.

  2. Separate listings for the restaurant and spa

Where each has its own name, hours and phone line, a listing of its own so that locals can find them without finding a room rate.

Result: The brunch search shows the brunch, not a suite.

  3. A photograph plan

A shot list for the profile covering suites, views, arrival, dining, spa and the garden, refreshed when the property changes.

Result: The profile looks like the hotel a guest will meet.

  4. Review replies in the manager's voice

Written replies to praise and complaint, signed by a named person, with an offline contact for anything serious.

Result: Every review has an answer a future guest can read.

  5. Questions and answers seeded on the profile

The ten questions guests ask, such as airport distance and pet policy, answered once on the listing.

Result: Repeated calls to the desk drop in the questions you recorded.

How the result is measured

  • Map pack ranking
  • Local search visibility
  • Enquiries by locality

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the local SEO work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Audit every listing

We check the Google Business Profile and directory listings for every branch against what should actually be shown.

  2. 2

    Complete and correct

Profiles are filled in fully and inconsistent details are corrected across every directory found.

  3. 3

    Build location pages

Each branch gets a page written for its own area, not a copy of the head office page with the address changed.

  4. 4

    Set up review handling

A simple process for requesting and responding to reviews is put in place with whoever is closest to the customer.

  5. 5

    Report and adjust

Map actions and enquiries per branch are recorded, and the branches falling behind come first in the next round of work.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Who is allowed to reply to reviews?
The general manager or a named senior person, in the hotel's own words. Agency-written replies that are sent unedited read as generic. We draft, the manager edits and sends.
Our hotel appears under an old name. What now?
Correct the name, address and phone on the profile and on the main directories, and match them to the website. Check the platform's current rules for editing the listing and for any verification step.
Should we list the hotel's spa and restaurant separately?
Only if each has a distinct name, hours and a phone line a guest can reach. Otherwise the hotel listing covers them. Check the platform's current rules before creating extra listings.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
