Luxury hotels · Search engine optimisation

Search should bring the guest to your suite page, not to a booking app.

SEO for a luxury hotel is the work of making your own pages the ones a high-spending guest finds when searching for a stay in your city or destination. GullySales works on the suite pages, the questions guests type and the technical basics that let Google read the site.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What search engine optimisation means

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the work of getting your website to appear when a buyer searches Google for what you sell. GullySales builds pages around real search terms, fixes technical issues that block ranking, and tracks which searches actually bring enquiries.

For luxury hotels

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Booking apps hold the first results”

A search for a hotel in your city shows aggregators and review sites before your own site. The hotel competes by owning the searches an aggregator cannot answer well: a named suite, a view, a dining room or an occasion.

  • “Guests search for the occasion, not the star rating”

The buyer types an anniversary stay, a lakeside wedding venue or a spa weekend near the city. Pages written around these occasions meet the guest at the moment of choosing, where a page that only lists room types does not.

  • “Thin suite pages lose to a long listing elsewhere”

A suite page with a name, a price line and two photographs gives Google nothing to read and the guest nothing to picture. The size, the view, the bath, the butler service and the nearest sights belong on the page in plain words.

What we do

What we deliver for luxury hotels.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A search map of your stay, dining and event terms

The phrases guests use for suites, restaurants, spas and weddings in your city, grouped by the page that should answer each.

Result: Every page has a search it is meant to win.

  2. Rewritten suite and room pages

Each suite described with what the guest sees, hears and is offered, with the enquiry route one tap away.

Result: A guest can picture the stay without leaving the page.

  3. Pages for occasions and experiences

Separate pages for honeymoons, anniversaries, family celebrations, weddings and meetings, each with its own photographs and questions.

Result: The occasion search lands on a page made for it.

  4. Technical clean-up

Page speed on mobile, headings, image names, a sitemap and a check that Google can read every room page.

Result: Search Console shows no avoidable errors.

  5. Links from places that already write about you

Mentions from destination guides, wedding planners, local media and tourism bodies that are real and relevant, never bought in bulk.

Result: Your site is named where guests already read.

How the result is measured

  • Ranking positions
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from organic search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the search engine optimisation work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Audit and baseline

We record where the site stands today: positions, traffic, technical faults and the enquiries search currently produces. Nothing starts until this number is written down.

  2. 2

    Decide what to rank for

We map the searches your buyers use, in your words and theirs, and pick the ones worth the effort for your margin and your capacity.

  3. 3

    Fix the foundations

Technical faults first, because the cheapest gains are usually there. Then the Business Profile and directory consistency.

  4. 4

    Build the pages

A page for each thing you do, written to answer the question it is searched for, with a clear next step at the end.

  5. 5

    Publish and earn mentions

Content goes out on the calendar. Links and mentions are earned from real relationships, not bought.

  6. 6

    Measure, report, adjust

At the interval agreed at the start we report what moved and what did not, and change the plan when the numbers say so.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Can SEO reduce our dependence on booking apps?
It moves some searches to your own site, mainly branded and occasion searches. It does not remove the apps. We record where bookings come from first, so any shift is visible against that starting point.
Why does a competing property rank above us?
The cause may be a fuller page, not a better hotel. Look at what their suite page says that yours does not, and at who links to them. We compare these before choosing what to write.
Do we need a blog?
Only where it answers a question a guest asks before booking, such as the best season, how to reach the property or what a wedding weekend involves. A blog without such questions does not earn its place.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
