Industrial suppliers and distributors · Digital marketing

Most of the money is sitting in the accounts you already have.

Digital marketing for a distributor is the plan deciding what gets built first: product data, brand pages, advertising, email to the book you already have, or the enquiry routine. GullySales writes that plan against your sales history, sequences the work by what it earns, and reports monthly on orders.

A steam traction engine belted across a stackyard to a wooden threshing machine: the long flat belt taut between the flywheel and the drive pulley, the flywheel spinning, a straw elevator raking up off the far end, a full sack hanging on the sack spout, a corn stack half taken down behind and a water cart standing by

What digital marketing means

Digital marketing is the combined work of search, social media, advertising and website channels running together rather than as separate projects with separate people. GullySales runs these as one connected system so a change in one channel, such as a new offer, is reflected everywhere at once.

For industrial suppliers and distributors

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • An ecommerce site is a catalogue until it shows stock and price

A buyer who cannot see whether the branch holds it will pick up the phone anyway, which is the outcome the site was bought to avoid.

  • An account losing two lines still looks healthy on a revenue report

Nothing flags the fasteners going elsewhere, so the plan starts with your sales history rather than with website traffic.

  • Punchout and EDI are sales work that got filed under IT

Sitting inside a buyer's Coupa or Ariba catalogue decides whether their purchasing side can order from you at all.

What we do

What we deliver for industrial suppliers and distributors.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A channel plan split by the two buyers

Separate work for the maintenance technician who searches and the purchasing agent who buys off a contract, because almost nothing reaches both.

Result: Money stops chasing the buyer you already hold.

  2. Work sequenced by what the sales history shows

The categories, brands and accounts carrying margin decide what gets built first, read out of your ERP rather than off a keyword list.

Result: The first three months go to the lines that pay.

  3. A calendar tied to shutdowns and the year-end spend

Campaigns timed to turnaround planning in the plants you serve and to the December budget that lapses if nobody uses it.

Result: You are in front of a buyer while there is money to spend.

  4. The enquiry routine fixed before any spend goes out

Logging, acknowledgement and follow-up put right first, since an advert feeding a branch that replies on Wednesday is wasted.

Result: New enquiries reach somebody who acts on them.

  5. A handover format so a lead reaches the territory

One short note giving the outside rep what was asked, what was quoted and what the account last bought, ready before the visit.

Result: The rep walks in knowing more than the customer expects.

  6. A monthly report on orders, not traffic

Enquiries by source, quotations issued and won, accounts reactivated and lines recovered, read against the baseline taken in the free audit.

Result: The spend is judged on what shipped.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries across channels
  • Cost per enquiry overall
  • Channel mix by contribution

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, then reported every month against it.

Who it is for

This is written for these industrial suppliers and distributors.

  • MRO and general industrial supply houses
  • Bearing, power transmission and motion distributors
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic distributors with a fabrication shop
  • Electrical and automation distributors
  • Fastener, abrasive and cutting tool suppliers

  • Pipe, valve and fitting suppliers
  • Process equipment and pump distributors with service work
  • Single-branch independents inside a buying group

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first monthly report.

No open-ended retainer. Each step has a point in time and something you receive.

  1. 01 · Day 1

    Free audit call

45 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. 02 · Within a few working days

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope and fee come with it, in writing.

  3. 03 · Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later month has an honest comparison.

  4. 04 · Month 1

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. 05 · Every month

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words.

  6. 06 · Month 3 to 6

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. No twelve-month lock.

How the work runs for industrial suppliers and distributors

  1. 1

    Read the sales history

In the free audit we look at where enquiries come from and what your ERP already shows: which accounts slowed, which lines went quiet, which quotes never closed.

  2. 2

    Fix the enquiry path

Counter, web and email enquiries logged in one place, a follow-up date on every quote, and agreed overlap hours so nothing waits until the next morning.

  3. 3

    Make the catalogue findable

Real data on the lines that matter, brand and application pages, and branch pages built for a search made in a hurry.

  4. 4

    Work the accounts nobody calls

The lost-line report and the neglected tail of the territory handled as inside sales, with a written record of every conversation.

  5. 5

Report by line, not by lump

A monthly report showing enquiries, quotes, orders and recovered categories against the baseline recorded before anything changed.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every monthly report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No lock-in, no guarantees we cannot keep

Three to six months at a time. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • Hours that fit your day, agreed up front

Which hours we overlap with yours is settled before any work starts, so you know when a reply is coming and when it is not.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

How much should a branch our size spend?
That is scoped in the free audit and written down before anything starts, with our time, your media spend and production costs such as product photography kept apart. Terms run three to six months. A branch with poor product data usually spends more on the data than on advertising in the first quarter.
Our outside reps say web leads are junk. Are they?
Some are. A technician pricing one seal is not a rep's job, and an inside desk should take it. The plan separates the two so a rep only sees what is worth the drive.
What hours would you cover for our branch?
The hours that overlap your working day, agreed and written down before any work starts. We settle that on the first call rather than the third, because a counter runs to its own clock and a quote chased at the wrong hour is wasted. Nights, weekends and the will-call desk stay with your own people.
Can anyone actually compete with Amazon Business?
Not on a box of gloves, and pretending otherwise wastes your money. You compete on the part that is not stocked anywhere near the plant, on the assembly made while the truck waits, and on knowing what fits. The work here is making those three things findable and answerable, then defending the lines you still hold.
How long is the contract?
Three to six months at a time. There is no twelve-month lock, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile usually show in weeks, because the enquiries already exist. Ads show in days once follow-up is ready. SEO and content take months. The audit tells you which applies to you.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 45 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the monthly review.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Every month is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. Terms run three to six months at a time, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
