Industrial suppliers and distributors · Reputation management

Your real review is the supplier scorecard, not the star rating.

Reputation for a distributor is judged twice: on the scorecard a plant keeps for fill rate and delivery, and in the few public reviews about a will-call wait. GullySales pulls the first together before the annual review, and sets a routine that brings in the second.

A statue plinth seen close: the bronze figure implied only by its feet and the hem of its drapery above the top of the frame, one face of the stone pedestal scrubbed pale and the other still grimy and carrying a scrawl of paint, with a pressure hose coiled on the steps beside a bucket, brushes and cloths

What reputation management means

Reputation management is watching what is said about your business across Google, social media and review sites, and responding to it before it changes a buyer's mind. GullySales monitors mentions, drafts responses to negative reviews and flags recurring complaints back to your team.

For industrial suppliers and distributors

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • Counter reviews are about the wait, not the product

The driver who stood at the window for twenty minutes writes the review, and a plant engineer reads it before placing a first order.

  • A plant scores you on fill rate and on-time delivery

That scorecard decides the contract, and most branches see it for the first time in the meeting where it is used against them.

  • A missing manufacturer locator entry reads as an answer

A buyer checking whether you are still an authorised source for that line will not ring to ask why you are not listed.

What we do

What we deliver for industrial suppliers and distributors.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A service record prepared before the annual review

Fill rate, on-time delivery, returns and credits pulled together for each major account, with your own explanation attached, ahead of the meeting.

Result: You walk in with the numbers instead of hearing them.

  2. A review ask at the counter and on delivery

A short, specific request made by the person handing over the parts, rather than a mass email nobody inside a plant is allowed to answer.

Result: Reviews start coming from people who were actually served.

  3. Replies written for backorder and wait complaints

Short responses ready for the two complaints every distributor collects, saying what happened and what the caller should do next time.

Result: Nobody is drafting an answer at ten at night.

  4. Locator, directory and buying group entries checked

Every authorised distributor listing, association directory and group page checked for the right branch, phone number and lines carried.

Result: A buyer verifying you finds one consistent company.

  5. Alerts on the company and the branch names

Watches on your name, each branch and the brands you are authorised for, so a public complaint reaches you before it reaches a customer.

Result: You hear about it first.

  6. Reviews and service figures reported together

New reviews and ratings by branch set beside the fill rate and delivery numbers behind them, against where each account stood when work began.

Result: You can see whether the service talk matches the service.

How the result is measured

  • Average rating
  • Response time to reviews
  • Negative mentions resolved

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, then reported every month against it.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first monthly report.

No open-ended retainer. Each step has a point in time and something you receive.

  1. 01 · Day 1

    Free audit call

45 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. 02 · Within a few working days

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope and fee come with it, in writing.

  3. 03 · Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later month has an honest comparison.

  4. 04 · Month 1

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. 05 · Every month

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words.

  6. 06 · Month 3 to 6

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. No twelve-month lock.

How the work runs for industrial suppliers and distributors

  1. 1

    Read the sales history

In the free audit we look at where enquiries come from and what your ERP already shows: which accounts slowed, which lines went quiet, which quotes never closed.

  2. 2

    Fix the enquiry path

Counter, web and email enquiries logged in one place, a follow-up date on every quote, and agreed overlap hours so nothing waits until the next morning.

  3. 3

    Make the catalogue findable

Real data on the lines that matter, brand and application pages, and branch pages built for a search made in a hurry.

  4. 4

    Work the accounts nobody calls

The lost-line report and the neglected tail of the territory handled as inside sales, with a written record of every conversation.

  5. 5

Report by line, not by lump

A monthly report showing enquiries, quotes, orders and recovered categories against the baseline recorded before anything changed.

Proof

What happened when owners fixed this.

Real clients, the work we did, and the result as it was recorded. Where no number was recorded, none is claimed.

All case studies
  • SB Engineering

    Situation
Buyers searching for laser cutting and sheet metal work in Bengaluru were finding other suppliers first, because the company did not rank for the terms its own customers type.
    What we did

    • Search work on the buyer's terms
    • Content that shows the work
    • Social channels managed
    Result
    • Website traffic rose 60% within six months, against a target of 50%.

  • HOPO Hardware

    Situation
There was no website or online platform of any kind, so nothing showed the products, their features or their technical specifications. A dealer who wanted a specification had to ask for it every time.

    • Logo and colour palette
    • Printed stationery

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every monthly report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No lock-in, no guarantees we cannot keep

Three to six months at a time. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • Hours that fit your day, agreed up front

Which hours we overlap with yours is settled before any work starts, so you know when a reply is coming and when it is not.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Do online reviews matter when our customers are plants?
They matter at the first order. A maintenance manager who has never bought from you looks you up the way anyone does. After that the scorecard takes over and the star rating stops mattering.
Someone posted about a backorder that was the manufacturer's fault. What do we say?
Say what happened plainly, say what you did about it, and give a name and a number for next time. Do not argue about fault in public. The buyer reading it is judging how you handle trouble, not who was to blame.
What hours would you cover for our branch?
The hours that overlap your working day, agreed and written down before any work starts. We settle that on the first call rather than the third, because a counter runs to its own clock and a quote chased at the wrong hour is wasted. Nights, weekends and the will-call desk stay with your own people.
Can anyone actually compete with Amazon Business?
Not on a box of gloves, and pretending otherwise wastes your money. You compete on the part that is not stocked anywhere near the plant, on the assembly made while the truck waits, and on knowing what fits. The work here is making those three things findable and answerable, then defending the lines you still hold.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
Three to six months at a time. There is no twelve-month lock, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile usually show in weeks, because the enquiries already exist. Ads show in days once follow-up is ready. SEO and content take months. The audit tells you which applies to you.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 45 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the monthly review.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Every month is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. Terms run three to six months at a time, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
