Industrial suppliers and distributors · Search engine optimisation

Win the part number search, because nobody types your company name.

Search engine optimisation for an industrial distributor decides whether a part number, a cross-reference or a brand and application search reaches your branch or a marketplace. GullySales fixes the product data on the lines that earn, writes the application pages your counter already answers by phone, and reports enquiries by search type.

What search engine optimisation means

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the work of getting your website to appear when a buyer searches Google for what you sell. GullySales builds pages around real search terms, fixes technical issues that block ranking, and tracks which searches actually bring enquiries.

For industrial suppliers and distributors

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • The manufacturer's description sits on four hundred other sites

Every distributor carrying that line published the same paragraph, so nothing on the page tells a search engine why your branch deserves the click.

  • Cross-reference searches are the ones an independent wins

A technician typing an OEM number looking for an equivalent is asking a question the national houses answer badly.

  • Forty thousand thin pages is a crawl problem, not a catalogue

Filters that spin out endless URLs bury the few hundred items that actually carry your margin.

What we do

What we deliver for industrial suppliers and distributors.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Product data rewritten on the lines that earn

Descriptions, attributes, dimensions and images written for your top-moving items, starting with the categories carrying your margin rather than the whole catalogue.

Result: A part number search lands on your page instead of a marketplace.

  2. Cross-reference pages for the OEM numbers you replace

A page for each common interchange, naming the original number, what you hold in its place and the lead time on it.

Result: The technician searching an obsolete number finds your branch.

  3. Brand and application pages worth ranking

A page per authorised line covering what it is used for in the plants around you, with stocked sizes named instead of a wall of logos.

Result: A plant engineer checking for an authorised source lands here.

  4. Counter questions written up as technical pages

The seal, bearing and belt questions your will-call desk answers all day, written down alongside the failure the caller described.

Result: Knowledge locked in one veteran's head starts pulling enquiries.

  5. Crawl and speed faults cleared out

Filter URLs, duplicate category paths and slow pages fixed, so the items worth ranking are the ones getting crawled.

Result: Good pages stop competing with thousands of empty ones.

  6. Search reported by part, brand and application

Enquiries split by whether the search was a part number, a brand or a technical question, measured against the figures recorded before work began.

Result: You can see which kind of search actually brings quotes.

How the result is measured

  • Ranking positions
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from organic search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, then reported every month against it.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first monthly report.

No open-ended retainer. Each step has a point in time and something you receive.

  1. 01 · Day 1

    Free audit call

45 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. 02 · Within a few working days

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope and fee come with it, in writing.

  3. 03 · Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later month has an honest comparison.

  4. 04 · Month 1

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. 05 · Every month

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words.

  6. 06 · Month 3 to 6

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. No twelve-month lock.

How the work runs for industrial suppliers and distributors

  1. 1

    Read the sales history

In the free audit we look at where enquiries come from and what your ERP already shows: which accounts slowed, which lines went quiet, which quotes never closed.

  2. 2

    Fix the enquiry path

Counter, web and email enquiries logged in one place, a follow-up date on every quote, and agreed overlap hours so nothing waits until the next morning.

  3. 3

    Make the catalogue findable

Real data on the lines that matter, brand and application pages, and branch pages built for a search made in a hurry.

  4. 4

    Work the accounts nobody calls

The lost-line report and the neglected tail of the territory handled as inside sales, with a written record of every conversation.

  5. 5

Report by line, not by lump

A monthly report showing enquiries, quotes, orders and recovered categories against the baseline recorded before anything changed.

Proof

What happened when owners fixed this.

Real clients, the work we did, and the result as it was recorded. Where no number was recorded, none is claimed.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every monthly report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No lock-in, no guarantees we cannot keep

Three to six months at a time. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • Hours that fit your day, agreed up front

Which hours we overlap with yours is settled before any work starts, so you know when a reply is coming and when it is not.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

We use the manufacturer's product descriptions. Is that a problem?
Yes, because every other distributor on that line uses them too. A search engine has no reason to pick your page over four hundred identical ones. We rewrite the items carrying your margin first and leave the tail as it is.
Should we build a page for every SKU?
No. A few hundred items with real data, images and a stock position beat forty thousand empty ones. The rest sit behind the search box on your own site, which is where a buyer who knows the number looks anyway.
What hours would you cover for our branch?
The hours that overlap your working day, agreed and written down before any work starts. We settle that on the first call rather than the third, because a counter runs to its own clock and a quote chased at the wrong hour is wasted. Nights, weekends and the will-call desk stay with your own people.
Can anyone actually compete with Amazon Business?
Not on a box of gloves, and pretending otherwise wastes your money. You compete on the part that is not stocked anywhere near the plant, on the assembly made while the truck waits, and on knowing what fits. The work here is making those three things findable and answerable, then defending the lines you still hold.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
Three to six months at a time. There is no twelve-month lock, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile usually show in weeks, because the enquiries already exist. Ads show in days once follow-up is ready. SEO and content take months. The audit tells you which applies to you.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 45 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the monthly review.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Every month is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. Terms run three to six months at a time, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
