What local SEO means

Local SEO is the work of making your business show up for searches that name your town or locality, such as a service plus an area name. GullySales sets up locality pages, local citations and map listings so nearby customers find you before a competitor across town.

For interior fit-out contractors

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Buyers who want a visit search nearby”

A shop owner in a new commercial block wants a contractor he can call to the unit. A search with the locality is how he starts.

  • “The profile shows a home or a yard”

Many contractors work from a small office, a shed or a home. The listing needs the right address type: an office clients visit, or a business that goes to site.

  • “Corporate clients do not post reviews”

Facilities heads rarely post public reviews, so the profile looks bare next to a design studio with private clients. A project manager reads that as no record.

What we do

What we deliver for interior fit-out contractors.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A Business Profile with the right address type

Your office shown if clients visit, or a service-area business with the address hidden if you work from a yard or home.

Result: The listing follows Google's current guidelines.

  2. Categories and services for fit-out work

The category nearest to a contractor, and the services you do: office fit-out, partitions, false ceilings, joinery, civil and MEP coordination.

Result: Maps shows you for the work you actually do.

  3. Service areas set

The districts, business parks and localities where you build, chosen from your own project list.

Result: A search made near a project can match you.

  4. Project photographs with captions

Finished work, with the space type and area in the caption, uploaded with the client's permission.

Result: The profile shows a contractor's record.

  5. Listings claimed and checked

JustDial, Sulekha, IndiaMART and Houzz, with one company name, one office address and one number that is answered.

Result: Buyers find the same company everywhere.

  6. Questions and answers filled in

The questions buyers ask: whether you take turnkey, whether you work in malls, who to send drawings to, answered on the profile.

Result: Buyers get answers before they call.

How the result is measured

  • Map pack ranking
  • Local search visibility
  • Enquiries by locality

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What Google weighs here

Google judges a nearby contractor on a few things, and each can be worked on.

Relevance: category and services
Pick the category nearest to a contractor, not a design studio, then add the services you do: office fit-out, partitions, false ceilings, joinery, civil and MEP. Remove ones you do not do.
Distance: office or service area
If clients visit your office, show the address. If you work from a yard or a home and go to site, set up a service-area business and list the localities. Check Google's current guidelines on both.
Prominence: projects and mentions
Reviews from clients, photographs of finished work and mentions on architects' and consultants' sites all count. Ask permission before naming a client in a reply or a caption.
Photographs of finished work
Add completed interiors with the space type and area in the caption, with the client's permission. Avoid renders and stock images, since a profile full of someone else's work invites a suspension.
Listing sites that matter to this trade
Claim JustDial, Sulekha, IndiaMART and Houzz where you do the work. Verify each with the same name and number, and ignore callers who sell paid placement before you have claimed the free listing.
Name, address and phone, the same everywhere
Compare the Profile, the visiting card, the quotation letterhead, the website and every listing. One company name, one office address, one number somebody answers during site hours.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Free audit call

90 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. After the call

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come with it, in writing.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the work runs for interior fit-out contractors

  1. 1

Listen to how projects are won

The free audit call traces where invitations come from and where quotes are lost.

  2. 2

    Document what you have built

    A project record with consent.

  3. 3

    Be known before the tender

    A consultant contact routine.

  4. 4

    Quote fast and query early

    A quoting process and template.

  5. 5

    Report on projects, not activity

A report on invitations, quotes and projects against the baseline taken before anything changed.

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

  • A baseline before anything starts

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

We work from a home office. Can we have a profile?
Yes, as a service-area business, with the address hidden if clients do not visit. Google's current guidelines say what is allowed. Do not show a shared coworking address or a friend's shop that you cannot honestly claim.
We open a site office on every project. Should each one have a listing?
No. A site office is temporary and not a place clients visit. Keep one profile for your registered office and list the areas you serve. Short-lived listings are reported as spam and invite a suspension.
Can we add 'best interior contractors' to the business name?
Use the name on your registration, letterhead and signboard. Keywords added to the name break Google's guidelines and can lead to suspension. Say what you do in the categories, the services and the description instead.
A competitor shows above us for 'interior contractors near me'. Why?
Distance, the match of category and services, and the number and recency of reviews all count, and the searcher's location changes the order. Compare the competitor's categories and photographs with yours and improve yours. Do not post fake reviews.
Can we show photographs of completed projects?
With the client's written permission. Many corporate clients restrict photography of their premises, so the consent should be specific.
Can we name our clients?
Only with their permission. Some will allow the project to be shown without the name.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile are the quickest to show, because the enquiries already exist. Ads can follow soon after follow-up is in place. SEO and content take longer. How long each takes depends on your business, and the audit tells you which applies to you. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 90 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the review meetings.
