Interior fit-out contractors · Sales process

Write down the steps from drawing set to signed work order, and who owns each one.

A sales process for an interior fit-out contractor is the sequence from an invitation to quote to a signed work order: qualify, visit, review drawings, quote, follow up and close. GullySales writes the steps your estimator, partner and site engineer follow, and the record kept at each.

A 90-minute audit call and a written, scored report. Turnaround, reporting and term are agreed in writing after the audit.

What sales process means

A sales process is the fixed sequence of steps, such as enquiry, site visit, quote and order, that every deal is expected to pass through in the same order. GullySales writes this sequence down for your business and checks that every salesperson actually follows it.

For interior fit-out contractors

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Every project is quoted from scratch by whoever is free”

Each quote has a different layout and different assumptions, so a client comparing two of your quotes cannot tell what changed.

  • “The engineer who visits and the estimator who prices do not talk”

The engineer sees the ceiling height and the existing services. The estimator who prices has not been told.

  • “No step says when to stop”

A bid goes on long after the client chose another contractor, because nobody records a loss or asks why.

What we do

What we deliver for interior fit-out contractors.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A written bid or no-bid check

Scope, schedule, drawings, client's payment record and your crew's capacity, with the decision and its reason noted.

Result: Estimating time goes to jobs you can build.

  2. A site visit checklist

Ceiling height, floor level, power and drainage points, service lift, working hours and the building's rules, with photographs.

Result: The estimator prices what the visitor saw.

  3. A drawing review note

The queries raised on the drawings before pricing, sent to the consultant, with the answers kept with the quote.

Result: Queries surface before the work, not during it.

  4. A quotation template

Items, specification, inclusions, exclusions, assumptions and validity, in one layout for every quote.

Result: Clients can compare line by line.

  5. A follow-up and negotiation log

Dates, the people spoken to, what was asked and the reason when a bid is lost.

Result: A partner who missed the call can continue it.

  6. A handover from sales to site

A briefing for the site team on what was promised, the work order and the payment schedule.

Result: The project starts without an argument.

How the result is measured

  • Deals following the process
  • Time spent at each step
  • Drop-off rate by step

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Steps of a sale

A fit-out sale moves through a few steps, and each has something to ask and something to record.

Enquiry
Record who sent it, the space, the area, the location and the date the quote is due. Acknowledge it and ask for the drawings and the scope split.
Qualify: bid or no-bid
Check that the scope, the client's payment record and the schedule fit your crew. Write the decision and the reason, including the ones you decline.
Site visit and drawing review
Visit with the drawings in hand. Measure what they do not show, note existing services and the building's working-hour rules, and send the list of queries before pricing.
Quote
Price against the drawings and the bill of quantities. State the specification, inclusions, exclusions, assumptions and validity, so the client can compare quotes line by line.
Follow-up and negotiation
Ask who decides and by when, and what the client is comparing. Answer each query in writing, and record the reason when a negotiation ends in a loss.
Award and handover to site
Turn the quote into a work order and a payment schedule, and brief the site team on what was promised. A project that starts with promises unrecorded starts with an argument.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Free audit call

90 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. After the call

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come with it, in writing.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the work runs for interior fit-out contractors

  1. 1

Listen to how projects are won

The free audit call traces where invitations come from and where quotes are lost.

  2. 2

    Document what you have built

    A project record with consent.

  3. 3

    Be known before the tender

    A consultant contact routine.

  4. 4

    Quote fast and query early

    A quoting process and template.

  5. 5

    Report on projects, not activity

A report on invitations, quotes and projects against the baseline taken before anything changed.

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Who should do the site visit, the engineer or the partner?
The person who will run the site, with the estimator joining on large jobs. He sees what a drawing misses. The partner joins when the client's decision-maker is present, so the relationship and the technical view are both in the room.
Should we quote before the drawings are final?
You can give a budget range for planning, labelled as one, but not a firm quote. A firm quote needs drawings and a specification. List your assumptions, so a later change is a change to the quote and not a dispute.
How do we deal with a buyer who compares only the total?
Ask for the specification he is comparing, and put your inclusions, exclusions and assumptions beside the total. A cheaper quote may leave out items such as MEP coordination or protection. Do not match a number without matching the scope.
What goes in the record after a meeting or a call?
The date, who spoke, what was asked and the next step with an owner. Add the reason for a loss or a no-bid. A partner who was not at the meeting can then carry the conversation on.
Can we show photographs of completed projects?
With the client's written permission. Many corporate clients restrict photography of their premises, so the consent should be specific.
Can we name our clients?
Only with their permission. Some will allow the project to be shown without the name.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after the audit, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile are the quickest to show, because the enquiries already exist. Ads can follow soon after follow-up is in place. SEO and content take longer. How long each takes depends on your business, and the audit tells you which applies to you. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
