Manufacturing · Chemicals & Specialty Chemicals

Nobody buys glue from a catalogue, they buy the one that held on their line.

An adhesive is judged on a bond. The buyer tries it on their own material, on their own line, at their own speed, and the first failure ends the conversation.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

Adhesives & Sealants product collection

In one paragraph

Adhesives are bonding products sold by substrate, cure and application, such as packaging, wood, footwear or assembly. GullySales builds the substrate-wise product pages, the sample routine and the dealer and OEM follow-up that move an adhesive from a trial bond to a standing order.

That makes the buying question practical: what are you sticking to what? A page that opens with that question is more useful than a list of product codes.

Last updated 16 Oct 2026. Licence, certification, labelling and advertising rules for chemicals & specialty chemicals differ by product and change. We describe them in general terms, so check the current position with your own adviser or the regulator before you publish a claim.

Who it is for

This is written for you if adhesives is what you make or sell.

  • Makers of packaging, carton and labelling adhesives
  • Wood, laminate and furniture adhesive producers
  • Footwear, leather and fabric adhesive units
  • Producers of tile, construction and assembly adhesives sold through dealers

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • A seller who only repacks another brand's adhesive and cannot give technical support
  • A unit that cannot offer trial quantities to a buyer

How buyers choose

What decides the sale of adhesives.

  1. Substrate pair first

The buyer searches for what is being bonded: PVC to wood, paper to board, rubber to leather. The product name matters less than the match.

  2. Line trial

The adhesive is tried on the production line for open time, set speed and strength. Operators and the line supervisor have a say along with the chemist.

  3. Dealer channel for small users

Carpenters, shoemakers and fabricators buy from a dealer counter, and the dealer recommends what he stocks and sells easily.

  4. Container and price per kilo

Drums for a factory, tins and tubes for a counter. The same chemistry is compared differently in each.

Where orders are lost

What usually goes wrong when you sell adhesives.

In the words owners use on the first call.

  • “The trial worked and then the next lot did not”

Consistency between lots is what a line buyer fears, and one bad drum ends a supplier. Your enquiry pages need to say how you check lots.

  • “Dealers do not push our brand”

A dealer stocks what the counter customers ask for and what earns margin. If nobody asks for your brand, he does not stock it.

  • “We sell to many sectors and our site talks to none of them”

The furniture maker and the carton plant need different pages, and one general catalogue serves neither.

The scope

The work we would propose for adhesives.

Measured on qualified enquiries, quotation requests, follow-up on each quotation, trial orders won and repeat orders. Anything here that needs a platform, directory or tool we have not used with you is confirmed with you before it goes in the scope.

What we do

What you get for adhesives.

Each deliverable and what it is there to change.

  1. Substrate-wise product pages

A buyer with a bonding problem lands on a page that names it.

  2. A trial pack request form

Asks what is bonded, the line speed and the current adhesive, so the pack sent is the right one.

  3. A dealer WhatsApp broadcast list

Counter staff hear about new grades and trial offers without waiting for a salesman.

  4. Application clips

Short videos from your own line. They show the open time and the set better than a data sheet can.

How the result is measured

  • Trial pack requests
  • Trial packs with a recorded result
  • Qualified enquiries by application
  • New dealers stocking the range
  • Trial orders won
  • Repeat orders from factories and dealers

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

What we need from you

What to have ready before we talk.

None of it has to be tidy. We read what you have.

  • Product range with the substrates each is meant for
  • Technical data sheets
  • A list of dealers and the towns they sit in
  • Photographs or video of your product in use
  • The last trial packs sent and any result you have

Export and new regions

Selling adhesives beyond your home market.

Where you sell decides standards, documents, payment terms and freight. We work from Bengaluru and have no overseas office, so for a new region we start from your own enquiries, your existing buyers and the directories you already use.

  1. Distributors who already stock adhesives

Overseas sales usually run through a distributor serving a local industry, such as packaging or footwear. We start from the export enquiries you already have.

  2. Sample freight and safety data

Some adhesives ship as hazardous goods, which your forwarder and adviser will confirm. Buyers also expect a safety data sheet in their format.

FAQ

Questions about selling adhesives.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Should I put the glue grade names on my website?
Yes, but put them under the application. A carpenter looks for what bonds laminate to ply, not for grade codes.
How do I get dealers to take my brand?
Give them something the counter customer asks for, such as a trial pack or a demonstration. The dealer then has a reason to stock it.
Can you help with a brand for retail adhesive tubes?
Yes, design and the dealer rollout are part of our work. The product claims on the pack remain yours, and your adviser should read them.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on what is being changed and how many of the people who matter see it. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever the work touches, such as your profiles, your website or your accounts, and time with the people who can answer our questions.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

Engagement options

Ways to work with us.

Pick the size of commitment that fits. Every option starts with your brief and a conversation.

  1. Option 1

    The conversation on its own

A call after you send your brief. It says honestly whether you need outside help, and many fixes are ones your own team can make.

  2. Option 2

    One fix, scoped

Start with the fix that matters most, such as reply time or follow-up. The fee is in writing before anything starts.

  3. Option 3

    An ongoing programme

We run the work, report against the baseline, and you renew on the numbers. The term and the reporting are agreed in writing first.

  4. Option 4

Guidance for your own team or agency

We plan, brief and check the work of your in-house team or current agency, instead of replacing them.
