Plastic injection moulding units · Marketing strategy

Decide which processes and OEM segments actually deserve a marketing budget.

A marketing strategy for a moulding unit decides which processes, materials and OEM segments to be found for. Tonnage capacity, tooling capability and certifications set real limits on what business can be won. GullySales builds this from the unit's actual machine list and certifications, not a generic manufacturing plan.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What marketing strategy means

Marketing strategy is the plan for which channels to use, in what order and with what budget. This way, marketing spend is aimed at a goal instead of tried one channel at a time. GullySales sets this plan after the first conversation, based on where your buyers actually search and decide.

For plastic injection moulding units

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Capacity limits which RFQs are worth chasing”

A unit with three 150-tonne presses gains nothing from marketing for large appliance housings that need 500-tonne capacity, so the strategy starts from what the machines can actually run.

  • “Certification status decides which OEM segments are reachable”

A unit without IATF 16949 is unlikely to win tier-one automotive business, regardless of marketing effort. Until that certification is in place, the strategy should target appliance, packaging or electronics buyers instead.

  • “Directory presence and RFQ speed come before any paid activity”

Spending on advertising before the IndiaMART listing and RFQ reply process are solid wastes budget on enquiries the unit is not yet equipped to win quickly.

What we do

What we deliver for plastic injection moulding units.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A capability and capacity map

A written map of the unit's tonnage range, tooling capability and certifications, matched against the OEM segments each one can realistically serve.

Result: Marketing effort goes only toward RFQs the unit can actually win.

  2. A segment priority list

A ranked list of automotive, appliance, packaging or electronics segments, based on which certifications and capacity the unit already holds.

Result: You know which segment to chase first and which to leave for later.

  3. A sequencing plan for listings before paid activity

A written order of work, directory listings and RFQ reply speed fixed first, paid advertising added only once those are solid.

Result: Budget is not spent chasing enquiries the unit is not yet ready to win.

  4. A certification gap and opportunity note

A short note on which OEM segments open up once a certification such as IATF 16949 is achieved, so the plan is ready in advance.

Result: The unit is ready to chase the right RFQs the moment a certification lands.

  5. A written note of what changes the plan

A short list of triggers, a new press, a certification or a lost account, that should prompt revisiting the strategy.

Result: The strategy adjusts to real changes instead of running on autopilot.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries against target
  • Cost per enquiry
  • Channel contribution to revenue

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What to decide first

What a moulding unit decides about machines, parts and buyers before paying for any listing or trade fair.

The machines that have room
List each press by tonnage band and idle hours. Promote the processes and part sizes those machines can take, and do not seek work for presses that are always full.
The part families you take
Describe the part size, weight, material and finish that run well on your machines. Say it on the capability page, so a buyer with a drawing outside it does not waste a quote.
Who owns the tool, and what that means
Decide your policy on tool ownership, maintenance and storage before an RFQ arrives. A buyer hears one clear rule, and you do not decide it again under pressure on each quote.
The buyer type to chase
Direct OEM, Tier 1 supplier, trader or start-up each wants different things. Look at past orders and pick the type that reorders and pays on time.
The first channel to build
Choose between IndiaMART and other directories, your own capability page or direct mail to named procurement engineers. Decide what counts as a real RFQ and log only those.
The jobs you decline
Write the parts, quantities and tolerances you will not quote, such as work that needs a press you do not own. A quick, clear no keeps the buyer's goodwill for a job that fits.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is reply time, a follow-up sequence, the page buyers land on or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the marketing strategy work runs

  1. 1

    Understand business goals

We start with what the business needs to achieve this year, in revenue and growth terms, not marketing terms.

  2. 2

    Audit current activity

We review every current marketing activity and what it has actually produced.

  3. 3

    Strategise the plan

Channels, messaging and budget are set based on the goals and what we find in your business, not habit or competitor imitation.

  4. 4

    Implement the roadmap

The plan is broken into an execution roadmap, either run by GullySales, your own team, or both.

  5. 5

    Measure against milestones

Progress is checked against the plan's milestones, with adjustments made as the year unfolds.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

How is this different from a general manufacturing marketing plan?
It starts from the unit's tonnage, tooling and certifications, since these decide which RFQs can realistically be won, rather than assuming any component type is fair game.
How often should the strategy be revisited?
Whenever capacity or certifications change, such as a new press installed or IATF 16949 achieved, since either opens up segments worth pursuing that were not reachable before.
Should we offer our own product line alongside job work?
Only if you have spare capacity and someone to sell it. An own product needs design, packing, distribution and stock, and takes time from the presses. Test it with one item and a small run, and see if enquiries justify the tooling before widening it.
How do we plan around a customer who is most of our turnover?
Treat it as a risk to plan for. Name the next buyers you want, in other sectors, and decide how much machine time you will keep free for them. Keep the big customer's service strong, but do not let the plan wait until that account slows down.
How is marketing different for a moulding unit compared to a consumer brand?
A moulding unit is bought by a procurement engineer comparing tonnage, tooling lead time and an RFQ reply, not persuaded by a social media post. The work is visibility on IndiaMART and directories, a fast and complete RFQ response, and collateral that shows real capability.
Do we need ads or SEO for a moulding unit?
Most units get more from a complete, current directory listing and a faster RFQ reply than from advertising. Search visibility helps once the listings and response process are solid and the unit wants to be found for a specific process or material.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
