Textile manufacturers · Review generation

No merchandiser writes a review, but a buying house will give a reference.

A fabric buyer does not read star ratings. He asks for a reference, checks your audit record and looks at how fast you answered his first enquiry. GullySales collects the references that can be shown, keeps the marketplace rating honest, and handles the complaint that follows a shade mismatch.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What review generation means

Review generation is the routine of asking satisfied customers to leave a Google or platform review at the moment they are happiest, rather than hoping they remember later. GullySales builds the request into your existing follow-up steps and tracks how many turn into a review.

For textile manufacturers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Your audit record is the review in this trade”

A compliance or social audit report from a buying house carries more weight than anything written online. Keep the current ones ready to send, because a buyer asks for them at shortlisting, not later.

  • “Most buyers will not let you name them”

Brands and buying houses often forbid a supplier from using their name. Ask anyway, in writing, and where the answer is no, write the reference as the market, the product and the volume band instead.

  • “The marketplace rating follows your reply speed”

Where a buyer filters mills on a trade portal, the score is built largely from how completely and how quickly enquiries there are answered. It is a sales discipline showing up as a rating.

What we do

What we deliver for textile manufacturers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A reference collected after each completed order

A few written lines from the merchandiser covering the quality, the shade match and the delivery, requested once the goods have been received.

Result: You have something to send when a new buyer asks.

  2. Naming permission asked for in writing

A short, specific request to use the buyer's name or logo, made at the reorder rather than during a price discussion.

Result: Some buyers agree, and you stop assuming none would.

  3. Anonymous references for accounts that cannot be named

The market, the product category and the volume band written up where a confidentiality clause prevents using the buyer's name.

Result: The proof still travels without breaching the agreement.

  4. Certification and audit documents kept current and to hand

Certificates and audit reports organised with their expiry dates, ready to attach to an enquiry reply rather than hunted for.

Result: A shortlisting request is answered the same day.

  5. Reply discipline on marketplace enquiries

A named owner and an agreed standard for enquiries arriving through trade portals, which is what the supplier rating is built on.

Result: Your listing improves because enquiries get answered.

How the result is measured

  • Reviews received
  • Average rating
  • Response rate to requests

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Asking for references and ratings

In a mill, a reference is asked for after an order is accepted, in writing, with a naming rule.

The accepted bulk lot
When a merchandiser confirms the bulk matches the approved swatch, ask for two lines on shade, GSM and delivery against the PO.
Permission to name
Ask by email whether the buyer may be named. If not, agree a form of words: the market, the fabric quality and a volume band.
Audit documents ready
Keep the latest compliance or social audit report and certificates in one folder, ready to send when a buyer asks at shortlisting.
Trade portal replies
On IndiaMART or TradeIndia, answer each enquiry with GSM, width and MOQ. Ratings there follow how enquiries are handled.
Buying agents
A sourcing agent sees many mills. Ask for a line on how you handled a sample and a claim.
A settled shade claim
Once a claim is settled, ask whether the lot was accepted. A claim handled well is itself a reference.

Who it is for

This is written for these textile manufacturers.

  • Yarn spinning mills
  • Fabric weaving and processing units
  • Garment fabric manufacturers
  • Home textile manufacturers
  • Technical and industrial textile makers
  • Export-oriented manufacturing units
  • Private label and job-work manufacturers
  • Knitwear and hosiery manufacturers

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is reply time, a follow-up sequence, the page buyers land on or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the review generation work runs

  1. 1

    Understand the customer journey

We identify one fixed point in your service, such as handover or checkout, where every customer is asked in the same way.

  2. 2

    Read your current reviews

We read every review you have, count how many were answered, and note what customers praise in their own words.

  3. 3

    Set up the ask process

Templates and a simple sending process are built into your existing customer communication.

  4. 4

    Implement responses

Every incoming review, positive or negative, is responded to by the routine set down in writing after we have spoken to you.

  5. 5

    Measure and adjust

We track review volume and rating trend and adjust the ask timing if response rates are low.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Do online reviews matter at all for a fabric mill?
Very little for the buying decision, but the profile is still read by job applicants, local suppliers and the occasional domestic buyer. Keep it complete and accurate, and put your real effort into references and audit papers.
A buyer complained publicly about a shade variation. What do we do?
Answer with the facts: the approved lab dip, what the bulk lot measured against it and what you did for him. Another merchandiser reading it wants to know whether you own a problem, since shade variation happens in every mill.
A buying house gave us a good oral reference. How do we use it?
Ask them for a short email or letter in their own words, and agree how it may be shown. An oral reference helps only when a buyer rings that person, so give a name and role only with consent.
Should we reply to a trade portal rating even if the buyer was not serious?
Yes, with a factual reply, because other buyers read it. Say what was asked and what was quoted, in the portal's own message tool, and keep the tone neutral. Check the portal's current rules on disputing a rating.
Can this work for a job-work or private label manufacturer with no brand of our own?
Yes. The pages are built around the specification and certification you produce, not a consumer brand, so the buyer searching for that fabric type finds the unit directly.
Do you help with export buyer outreach?
We build the specification pages and the outbound list for export houses and brands sourcing your fabric type. The compliance documentation and pricing stay with your export team.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
