Textile manufacturers · Social media

A ten-second drape video answers what a photograph cannot.

Social media for a textile manufacturer is short video of fabric moving, and a presence in front of merchandisers on LinkedIn. GullySales sets the filming routine on the floor, builds a WhatsApp catalogue by construction, and keeps buyers' developments off the feed.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What social media means

Social media is the ongoing posting your business does on platforms such as Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn to stay visible to customers and prospects between purchases. GullySales plans a posting calendar, writes captions and designs the images so the page looks active and answers what a visitor would ask.

For textile manufacturers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Fabric has to be seen moving”

Drape, hand feel and the way a twill falls are why a merchandiser asks for a hanger. A flat photograph shows none of it.

  • “The merchandiser is on LinkedIn, the designer is on Instagram”

Two buyers inside the same company, looking for different things, and most mills post the same picture to both.

  • “Posting a buyer's development can cost you the account”

The garment you helped develop is their season. Putting it online before the launch breaks what you signed.

What we do

What we deliver for textile manufacturers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A filming routine on the floor

Drape, hand feel, a loom running and a lab test, shot on a phone the same way during an ordinary shift.

Result: Posting stops needing a photographer.

  2. A WhatsApp catalogue arranged by construction

Your range loaded as a business catalogue with counts, weights and MOQ, so a buyer on a phone can look through it.

Result: An enquiry starts from the right fabric.

  3. A LinkedIn plan aimed at merchandisers and buying houses

Posts about capability, certification and development, written for somebody who sources fabric rather than somebody who wears it.

Result: The right people watch the mill working.

  4. A permission rule for buyer work

A written rule on what may be shown from a development and who signs it off, kept where whoever posts can see it.

Result: Nothing confidential goes up by accident.

  5. Fair week posting prepared in advance

Stall photographs, new developments and a post each day of the fair, written before anybody leaves for the airport.

Result: Buyers who missed the stall still see the range.

  6. A count of enquiries per platform

Which platform produced which enquiry each month, so whichever one produces nothing gets dropped.

Result: Filming time follows the enquiries.

How the result is measured

  • Posts published
  • Engagement rate
  • Enquiries from social profiles

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Platform for this buyer

Where fabric buyers look, and what a mill posts on each platform.

LinkedIn for merchandisers and buying houses
Post one fabric with its construction, count, GSM, width and finish, and a close photograph of the weave. The action is to request a swatch with the quality name and quantity.
WhatsApp swatch catalogue
Arrange the catalogue by construction: poplin, twill, jersey, canvas. Send the swatch card to a buyer only after they ask. The action is to reply with the quality they want.
Instagram reels and YouTube of fabric moving
Film the fabric draping, the hand-feel test and the loom running, with no buyer labels in frame. The action is to message for a swatch card.
Trade fair posts
Post your hall and stand number before the fair, and new collections on the day. The action is to book a time at the stand. Add the fair's own tag if it has one.
What not to post
A buyer's label or developed fabric, price per metre, a purchase order or tag showing a buyer's name, and workers' faces without consent. Show only certificates that are current and in your name.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is reply time, a follow-up sequence, the page buyers land on or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the social media work runs

  1. 1

    Understand your audience and platforms

We identify which platforms your specific buyers actually use and what kind of content they respond to.

  2. 2

    Audit current presence

We review existing pages, past content performance and any gaps in consistency.

  3. 3

    Build the content calendar

A plan is created, balancing genuine value with occasional direct offers.

  4. 4

    Implement and post

Content is created and published consistently on the agreed schedule.

  5. 5

    Measure and optimise

We track enquiries alongside engagement and adjust the content mix based on what actually performs.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Can we post fabric we developed for a buyer?
Not without asking. A development is their season and most agreements cover it. Post your own constructions and general capability, and put the request in writing when you want to show anything else.
Is Instagram any use for a mill?
For home textiles and fashion fabric, yes, because designers browse there. For technical textiles it does almost nothing. Put those hours into LinkedIn and the WhatsApp catalogue instead.
How do we share the swatch card on WhatsApp without it being forwarded to competitors?
You cannot fully stop forwarding. Send swatch details only to buyers you know, mark the message as for that buyer, and keep your exclusive developments off public lists. Share only the quality, not the exact recipe. Ask buyers in writing not to forward.
Can we post our GOTS or OEKO-TEX certificate?
Only if the certificate is current, in your own name and covers the products you show. Check the certifying body's rules on how the logo and number may be used. Never show it for a fabric outside the scope, and take the post down when the certificate lapses.
Can this work for a job-work or private label manufacturer with no brand of our own?
Yes. The pages are built around the specification and certification you produce, not a consumer brand, so the buyer searching for that fabric type finds the unit directly.
Do you help with export buyer outreach?
We build the specification pages and the outbound list for export houses and brands sourcing your fabric type. The compliance documentation and pricing stay with your export team.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
