Photography and videography studios · Search engine optimisation

A gallery full of photographs gives search engines nothing to read.

Search engine optimisation (SEO) for a studio means being found for the kind of shoot somebody is searching for, when your best proof is images a search engine cannot read. GullySales builds a page per shoot type with real words around the work, and fixes the load speed a heavy portfolio costs you.

What search engine optimisation means

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the work of getting your website to appear when a buyer searches Google for what you sell. GullySales builds pages around real search terms, fixes technical issues that block ranking, and tracks which searches actually bring enquiries.

For photography and videography studios

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • The shoot type is the search, not the studio name

People type candid wedding photographer, product photography studio or newborn shoot. A single mixed gallery matches none of those, so it ranks for none of them.

  • Venue words bring enquiries nobody else is bidding on

A couple who has already booked a hall looks for a photographer who has shot there. A short page about a wedding you covered at that venue is a page only you can write.

  • A portfolio site is usually the slowest site in the trade

Fifty uncompressed images on the home page take several seconds on mobile data. The couple scrolling at eleven at night has gone before your best frame appears.

What we do

What we deliver for photography and videography studios.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A page for each kind of shoot you want more of

Separate pages for wedding coverage, pre-wedding shoots, corporate events, product work and newborn sittings, each with its own recent gallery.

Result: Each kind of work can be found on its own.

  2. Words written around the images

A short account with every gallery covering the venue, the events covered, the team on the day and what was delivered afterwards.

Result: There is something on the page for search engines to read.

  3. Image compression and a speed pass

Galleries resized and compressed, lazy loading set up and the enquiry form checked on a phone on a slow connection.

Result: The page loads before the visitor leaves.

  4. Venue and location pages from work you have done

A page for each hall, resort or palace you shoot at often, with your own frames and notes on how the day runs there.

Result: Couples who have booked that venue find you.

  5. File names, captions and markup on the images

Descriptive file names, alt text and structured data covering the studio, the services and the reviews, instead of a page of numbered JPEGs.

Result: Your best asset stops being invisible.

  6. Monthly search and enquiry report by shoot type

Position and enquiries for each shoot page, set against the baseline recorded before work started.

Result: You see which kind of work search is actually bringing.

How the result is measured

  • Ranking positions
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from organic search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, then reported every month against it.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first monthly report.

No open-ended retainer. Each step has a point in time and something you receive.

  1. 01 · Day 1

    Free audit call

45 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. 02 · Within a few working days

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope and fee come with it, in writing.

  3. 03 · Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later month has an honest comparison.

  4. 04 · Month 1

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. 05 · Every month

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words.

  6. 06 · Month 3 to 6

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. No twelve-month lock.

How the work runs for photography and videography studios

  1. 1

    Assess

We look at your portfolio against what people actually search for, how fast quotes go out, and where last season's bookings came from.

  2. 2

Fix the portfolio and the quote

Pages organised by the kind of shoot, a quote template the team can send within hours, and a record of every enquiry and the date it was for.

  3. 3

Build the pages that get found

A page for weddings, one for corporate events and one for product photography, each with real work and a way to check the date.

  4. 4

    Bring enquiries in

Local search for the shoot types you want more of, reels for reach, and Google Ads before the wedding season when the good dates go fast.

  5. 5

    Keep them coming back

A referral ask after every delivered wedding or event, and a reminder to past corporate clients before their next shoot season.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every monthly report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No lock-in, no guarantees we cannot keep

Three to six months at a time. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Should there be text on a portfolio page at all?
Yes, a few hundred words saying what the shoot was, where it happened, what was covered and what was delivered. It reads well to a visitor and it is the only part a search engine can index. Put it under the gallery if the design demands.
We shoot destination weddings. Which places should our pages name?
The town you are based in on the main pages, and the destinations you have actually worked in on their own. Claiming twenty places you have never shot gets you nowhere. One honest page about a wedding you covered in Udaipur beats ten thin ones.
Do we need ads before the wedding season?
Yes, if the good dates are already filling up for competitors. Ads bring enquiries fast; the portfolio and reviews are what convert them once they arrive.
How long before we rank for wedding photography in our city?
It takes sustained work on a sound site, because the search is competitive in most cities. The Google Business Profile and reviews usually move faster, and we track both against your baseline every month.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
Three to six months at a time. There is no twelve-month lock, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 45 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the monthly review.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Every month is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. Terms run three to six months at a time, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
