Environmental testing and consulting firms · Local SEO

Show up when a plant in your estate looks for a lab nearby.

Local SEO for a testing firm is the work of appearing on Google Maps and in local results when a plant, builder or society searches for a lab in their area. GullySales sets up your Business Profile and directory entries so that a nearby buyer finds a firm with the right scope.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

For environmental testing and consulting firms

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The lab is inside a gated estate, not on a street”

Buyers cannot find the gate. A profile with no landmark, no entry instructions and no sample drop-off hours loses the person who wanted to deliver a bottle.

  • “The profile says 'consultant' and nothing else”

A generic category does not tell Google or a buyer whether you test water, monitor air or write impact reports.

  • “Listings disagree about who you are”

One directory has the old address, another a former phone number, and a third a different spelling of the lab. Buyers and search both lose trust.

What we do

What we deliver for environmental testing and consulting firms.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A Google Business Profile built for a lab

Primary and secondary categories, each test listed as a service, sample drop-off hours, a landmark for the gate and photographs of the lab and the sampling team.

Result: Your profile says what you test, not just where you are.

  2. A service-area setup for field work

For firms whose work is done at the client's plant, the areas served are stated honestly, with a visitable address shown only if buyers can really come.

Result: You appear for the estates you actually cover.

  3. Directory entries brought into line

IndiaMART, JustDial, Sulekha, trade directory and association listings checked for name, address, phone and categories, and old copies claimed or merged.

Result: Every listing tells the same story.

  4. Questions and answers on your profile

The questions buyers ask by phone, such as sample volume, bottles and pick-up, answered on the profile itself.

Result: Fewer calls that start from nothing.

  5. A reply routine for reviews

A way to answer each review that respects client confidentiality, and a request that goes out when a report is delivered.

Result: Fresh, honest reviews from real clients accumulate.

  6. Calls and directions counted

Calls, direction requests and website clicks from the profile read against the figures from before the work began.

Result: You can see what the map listing contributes.

How the result is measured

  • Map pack ranking
  • Local search visibility
  • Enquiries by locality

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What Google weighs here

How a local search for a testing lab is decided, and what a lab can do about each part.

Relevance: the category and services
Pick the category that matches your main work, such as testing laboratory or environmental consultant, then add each test as a service. Check Google's current category list.
Distance: where the buyer is searching from
Plants search from their own estate. Name the estates you serve on your website and profile. You cannot move closer, but you can state what you cover.
Prominence: reviews and mentions
Reviews from named plants (with their consent), links from association pages and entries in trade directories all count. Ask for them when the report is delivered.
Directories that buyers actually use
IndiaMART, JustDial and Sulekha carry real enquiries for testing labs. Keep the scope and categories there the same as on your own website.
Name, address and phone, identical everywhere
Choose one spelling of the lab's name and one address format, including the gate and unit number, and copy it to every listing. One old number can split your reviews.
Photographs a buyer can trust
The sample reception, instruments, the vehicle and the team at work. Avoid stock photos of rivers and leaves, which tell a buyer nothing about your capability.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is reply time, a follow-up sequence, the page buyers land on or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the local seo work runs

  1. 1

    Audit every listing

We check the Google Business Profile and directory listings for every branch against what should actually be shown.

  2. 2

    Complete and correct

Profiles are filled in fully and inconsistent details are corrected across every directory found.

  3. 3

    Build location pages

Each branch gets a page written for its own area, not a copy of the head office page with the address changed.

  4. 4

    Set up review handling

A simple process for requesting and responding to reviews is put in place with whoever is closest to the customer.

  5. 5

    Report and adjust

Map actions and enquiries per branch are reported, and branches falling behind are prioritised the next month.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Our lab is in a shared building. Does that matter to Google?
It matters if several businesses claim the same address with the same category. Give your unit or floor in the address, show your own signboard in the photographs, and check Google's current guidelines for shared premises.
We have two sample collection points in different cities. One listing or two?
One listing for each place where buyers can really visit staffed, with its own phone and hours. A collection point that only picks up from clients is a service area and should be shown as one.
A competitor has a listing with a keyword in its name. Can we report it?
You can report a listing that breaks Google's naming rules, but results are not in your hands and it may take time. Spend more effort on your own profile than on the competitor's.
We work from home as consultants. Should we show our address?
Only if clients visit you there. Otherwise hide the address and set a service area. Check Google's current guidelines before you decide, because showing a residence you do not receive visitors at can lead to suspension.
We are a small lab in an industrial estate. Do we need all this?
You need the first part: a clear page for each test and a fast, written reply. A lab with one good enquiry route and a follow-up habit can out-sell a larger one that answers late. We will say what to leave alone.
Can we say our report is accepted by the pollution control board?
Only if you can show it, and only in general terms. Board requirements differ by state and change over time, so state your accreditation and recognition exactly as on your certificate and tell buyers to confirm current requirements with their own board.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
