Environmental testing and consulting firms · Search engine optimisation

Be the page a plant finds when the test name is on its notice.

SEO for an environmental firm means appearing when a factory, builder or society searches for the exact test or approval it needs. GullySales builds one page for each test and approval you handle, in the words used on notices and consent letters.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What search engine optimisation means

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the work of getting your website to appear when a buyer searches Google for what you sell. GullySales builds pages around real search terms, fixes technical issues that block ranking, and tracks which searches actually bring enquiries.

Last updated 11 Oct 2026. Rules for this trade differ by state and professional body, and they change. We describe restrictions in general terms, so check the current position with your own council or adviser before you publish anything.

For environmental testing and consulting firms

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The search is the name on the notice”

An EHS officer types 'stack emission monitoring for boiler' or 'treated water analysis for consent renewal'. A services page that says 'environmental solutions' answers neither.

  • “Forty parameters sit on one page”

Water, air, noise, soil and waste are all listed in a single block. No search engine can tell which one the page is about, and no buyer finds theirs.

  • “A directory outranks the lab that does the work”

Aggregator pages and old consultant PDFs show up above your site because they have the test name in the title and you do not.

What we do

What we deliver for environmental testing and consulting firms.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A page per test, named as buyers name it

Stack monitoring, ambient air, effluent, drinking water, noise and soil each on their own page, with the parameters, sampling method and what the buyer should send or prepare.

Result: The exact search lands on the exact page.

  2. A page per approval or report you support

Consent renewals, environmental statements, impact assessments and audits explained plainly, with what you do and what the plant must provide.

Result: Consulting enquiries stop arriving mixed up with testing ones.

  3. Industrial area and city pages

A page for each estate and town you serve, naming the real areas and the kinds of plants there, without copying one page forty times.

Result: A search for a test in your town includes you.

  4. The accreditation table in search-friendly form

Parameters, methods and matrices set out as text on the page, not locked inside a certificate image.

Result: Search and buyers can both read what you are accredited for.

  5. Answers to the questions plants ask first

Short pages on how to collect a sample, how long it can be kept, what a report contains and how to read it, each linking to the test it belongs to.

Result: You are quoted for the question, then called for the work.

  6. Enquiries traced back to the page

Forms, calls and WhatsApp clicks tagged to the page that produced them and set against the figures taken before the work started.

Result: You can name the pages that bring work orders.

How the result is measured

  • Ranking positions
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from organic search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Searches your buyers type

What a plant, builder or society types when it needs a test, and the page that answers it.

stack emission monitoring for boiler
A page for stack monitoring with the parameters, the sampling points a boiler or DG set needs, and what the plant must prepare before your team arrives.
ETP treated water test report for consent renewal
A page that says what is tested, how samples are drawn and which of your reports the plant attaches. Link to your accreditation table, not just the certificate.
ambient air quality monitoring construction site
A page for builders: number of locations, dust and noise parameters, and how your team works around a live site. Name the cities you cover.
drinking water testing lab near me
A simple page for societies and hotels with the sample bottle instructions, pick-up areas and what a report will show. Keep it free of factory vocabulary.
EIA consultant for [project type]
One page for each project type you have handled, such as a pharma unit, a layout or a quarry. Say what you prepare and what the promoter must supply.
environmental audit consultant [city]
A page that separates audit from testing. Say what the audit covers, who signs it, and when a plant usually asks for one.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is reply time, a follow-up sequence, the page buyers land on or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the search engine optimisation work runs

  1. 1

    Audit and baseline

We record where the site stands today: positions, traffic, technical faults and the enquiries search currently produces. Nothing starts until this number is written down.

  2. 2

    Decide what to rank for

We map the searches your buyers use, in your words and theirs, and pick the ones worth the effort for your margin and your capacity.

  3. 3

    Fix the foundations

Technical faults first, because the cheapest gains are usually there. Then the Business Profile and directory consistency.

  4. 4

    Build the pages

A page for each thing you do, written to answer the question it is searched for, with a clear next step at the end.

  5. 5

    Publish and earn mentions

Content goes out on the calendar. Links and mentions are earned from real relationships, not bought.

  6. 6

    Measure, report, adjust

At the interval agreed at the start we report what moved and what did not, and change the plan when the numbers say so.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Should every parameter have its own page?
No. Group parameters by the test a buyer asks for, such as effluent analysis or stack monitoring, and list the parameters inside. A page per parameter is thin and competes with itself.
Do we need a blog?
Only if someone will write answers that plants ask before they buy, such as how to collect a sample. Generic articles on pollution bring readers who never buy. Test pages come first.
Can we copy text from a regulation to look authoritative?
Avoid it. Copying rules makes the page look like everyone else's and risks going out of date. Explain what you do in plain words and tell readers to check the current rules with their own board.
Who owns the website and Search Console login?
You do, as the firm. Create each account under a company email you control and add GullySales as a user. If a freelancer set them up in a personal name, move ownership now.
We are a small lab in an industrial estate. Do we need all this?
You need the first part: a clear page for each test and a fast, written reply. A lab with one good enquiry route and a follow-up habit can out-sell a larger one that answers late. We will say what to leave alone.
Can we say our report is accepted by the pollution control board?
Only if you can show it, and only in general terms. Board requirements differ by state and change over time, so state your accreditation and recognition exactly as on your certificate and tell buyers to confirm current requirements with their own board.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
