Environmental testing and consulting firms · Reputation management

Answer the review about a late report as if the plant head is reading it.

Reputation management for an environmental firm is the work of collecting honest reviews from clients and answering each one in a way that respects confidentiality. GullySales sets up the request, the reply routine and the fixes that stop the same complaint coming back.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What reputation management means

Reputation management is watching what is said about your business across Google, social media and review sites, and responding to it before it changes a buyer's mind. GullySales monitors mentions, drafts responses to negative reviews and flags recurring complaints back to your team.

Last updated 11 Oct 2026. Rules for this trade differ by state and professional body, and they change. We describe restrictions in general terms, so check the current position with your own council or adviser before you publish anything.

For environmental testing and consulting firms

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “A client cannot discuss results in public, and neither can you”

A reply that mentions a plant's values or a failed parameter breaks confidentiality. The right answer is calm, general and offers a private call.

  • “The unhappy review is about the date, not the data”

Most complaints are about a report that came after a regulator deadline or a pick-up that was missed, not about the numbers.

  • “A competitor posts a one-star with no client record”

A review from a person who is not on your files looks real and stays up unless you check and respond properly.

What we do

What we deliver for environmental testing and consulting firms.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A review request at the right moment

A short message to the client when the report is delivered, with a link to your Google profile and a line saying honest feedback is welcome.

Result: Reviews come from clients who just saw the work.

  2. Reply templates that protect confidentiality

Replies for praise, delay, price and dispute, written so they never name a plant's results, and always offer a call with a named person.

Result: You look professional without saying too much.

  3. A fix log behind the complaints

Each complaint is tagged, such as late report, sample not collected or unclear invoice, so the repeat causes are fixed in the lab.

Result: The same complaint stops arriving.

  4. A check for reviews that do not match your records

A routine to match each new review to a client or job, and to report those that breach the platform's rules.

Result: Fake reviews are challenged on the platform's terms.

  5. Reviews used on your own pages

With the reviewer's permission, short quotes placed on the test pages they refer to.

Result: A buyer reads real words next to the test he needs.

  6. A watch across Google and directories

The profile, IndiaMART, JustDial and similar pages checked for new reviews and replied to in one routine.

    Result: No review sits unanswered.

How the result is measured

  • Average rating
  • Response time to reviews
  • Negative mentions resolved

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What to do with each review

The kinds of review a testing or consulting firm gets, how to reply and what to fix inside.

Praise for a quick, clear report
Thank the client by name of firm if they agree, and mention the team, not the results. Note what they liked, so you can repeat it on other jobs.
'The report came after our deadline'
Reply with an apology for the experience, offer a call, and check the job record. If the delay was yours, fix the step. If the sample arrived late, say so politely.
'Another lab quoted lower'
Do not argue price in public. Say that scopes differ and invite them to compare line by line on a call. Inside, check whether your quote format makes the comparison easy.
A disputed result
Never discuss the values online. Offer a private conversation with the technical manager and point to your retest or query process, if you have one, in general terms.
A review from someone who is not a client
Check your records. If there is no match, reply politely that you cannot find the job and ask them to contact you. Report it under the platform's current rules. Removal is not in your hands.
Asking for reviews within the rules
Ask every client, not only the happy ones. Never pay, reward or pressure for a review, and never filter who is asked. Check each platform's current rules.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is reply time, a follow-up sequence, the page buyers land on or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the reputation management work runs

  1. 1

    Understand current perception

We start by actually searching your business name and reviewing what a stranger would currently see.

  2. 2

    Audit existing mentions

We catalogue reviews, mentions and search results, flagging anything negative or inaccurate.

  3. 3

    Plan responses

A calm, factual response is prepared for anything that needs one, agreed with you before posting.

  4. 4

    Implement monitoring

Ongoing checks are set up so new mentions are caught promptly rather than discovered by accident.

  5. 5

    Measure and report

Sentiment and response times are reported, with your business name searched again to see what has moved.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Can we ask a client for a review if the test result was unfavourable to them?
You can ask every client the same way, whatever the result. Do not choose only those with results that pleased them. A client may still praise how clear and fair the report was.
How should we reply in Hindi to a review written in that language?
Reply in the language of the review where a staff member can write it properly. Keep it short and polite, and add a line in English if other buyers read the page. Do not use a machine translation you cannot check.
A review names one of our field engineers. What do we do?
Thank the reviewer for the feedback, tell the engineer if it was praise, and speak to him privately if it was a complaint. Do not name staff in public replies.
Should we ask for reviews on IndiaMART as well as Google?
Ask for Google first, as it is seen most. If a client found you on IndiaMART and is happy to rate you there, welcome it, but do not hand them two requests at once.
We are a small lab in an industrial estate. Do we need all this?
You need the first part: a clear page for each test and a fast, written reply. A lab with one good enquiry route and a follow-up habit can out-sell a larger one that answers late. We will say what to leave alone.
Can we say our report is accepted by the pollution control board?
Only if you can show it, and only in general terms. Board requirements differ by state and change over time, so state your accreditation and recognition exactly as on your certificate and tell buyers to confirm current requirements with their own board.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
