Environmental testing and consulting firms · WhatsApp marketing

Answer the plant's WhatsApp like a lab, not like a chat group.

WhatsApp marketing for an environmental firm means using the Business app or the API to answer scoping questions, confirm sample pick-ups and remind past clients of due dates, with their permission. GullySales sets up the account, the message templates and the record so the conversation stays with the firm.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

For environmental testing and consulting firms

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Client reports are sent from a personal number”

A field engineer shares a report on his own WhatsApp. When he leaves, the thread and the client's contact leave with him.

  • “Sample details are lost in a long thread”

Which bottle, which sampling point, which date? Without a template, the lab asks the same questions three times and the buyer's patience goes.

  • “Reminders are sent to everyone, or to no one”

A blanket message about 'compliance season' to an old list annoys clients who just renewed and misses the ones who are due.

What we do

What we deliver for environmental testing and consulting firms.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A WhatsApp Business profile in the firm's name

Registered name, address, categories, hours and a short description, with a catalogue entry for each test and a greeting that asks the scoping questions.

Result: A buyer sees a proper lab, not a number.

  2. Templates for the messages you repeat

Scoping questions, quote covering note, sample pick-up confirmation, report ready, and a due-date reminder, each approved and in plain words.

Result: Replies are consistent whoever sends them.

  3. A consent record for every client contact

A column in your client list showing who agreed to messages, when and for what, with a single word that stops them.

Result: You message people who want to hear from you.

  4. A shared inbox with named owners

Each chat assigned to a person, with a note of the test, the plant and the next step, so a colleague can pick it up.

Result: No chat depends on one phone.

  5. A safe way to send reports

Reports go as a download link or through a client portal rather than as a forward through groups, with a rule on who may receive them.

Result: Client data stays with the client.

  6. Reminders sent only to those who are due

A list built from your own report dates, so only plants whose renewal or round is approaching get the message.

Result: The reminder is useful, so it is read.

How the result is measured

  • Messages delivered
  • Reply rate
  • Enquiries from WhatsApp

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What must be in place first

What a lab needs before it uses WhatsApp for enquiries, samples and reminders.

Opt-in from every contact
Record when and how each client agreed to messages. A plant's EHS officer who sent an enquiry has agreed to a reply, not to a stream of promotional messages.
A business profile with the lab's registered name
Add address, hours and the tests offered. Buyers check this before they send a sample or a notice photograph, so it should look like an established lab.
Approved message templates
Write templates for scoping, pick-up confirmation, report ready and due-date reminders. Check WhatsApp's current business policy on what each category may contain.
Who pays for the messages
Business messages may be charged by category, and the rules change. Check WhatsApp's current business pricing before you plan any bulk reminders.
A way to opt out
Every promotional message should show how to stop. Honour it in your client list the same day, and do not message that contact again for promotions.
A human reply path
Name the person who answers during working hours and tell the buyer who they are talking to. A technical question about a method should reach the lab manager.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is reply time, a follow-up sequence, the page buyers land on or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the whatsapp marketing work runs

  1. 1

    Understand current WhatsApp use

We review how customers currently message you and how consistently, if at all, it is answered.

  2. 2

    Audit common questions

We identify the questions that come up repeatedly, which decide what should be automated first.

  3. 3

    Set up automation and templates

An automated first response and quick reply templates are built for the most common needs.

  4. 4

    Connect to the CRM

Conversations are linked to customer records so context carries over between team members.

  5. 5

    Measure and optimise

We track response time and conversion, refining automated responses based on what customers actually ask.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Should we use the Business app or the API?
Start with the Business app if one or two people answer. Move to the API when several staff share the inbox, you need templates at volume or you want a record linked to your client list.
Can staff keep using their personal numbers for client chats?
It is better not to. Chats on a personal number belong to the person who leaves with it. Move client conversations to the lab's own number and give staff access through the shared inbox.
Is it fine to create a group for each client plant?
Groups suit a live project with several people on both sides. They do not suit marketing, and reports with confidential data should not circulate in them. Keep a group for a project, then close it.
Can we put the whole test list in the WhatsApp catalogue?
Yes, as services, but keep it short. List the tests buyers ask for most and link each to its page. A long list does not help a buyer decide, and the scope still goes on your website.
We are a small lab in an industrial estate. Do we need all this?
You need the first part: a clear page for each test and a fast, written reply. A lab with one good enquiry route and a follow-up habit can out-sell a larger one that answers late. We will say what to leave alone.
Can we say our report is accepted by the pollution control board?
Only if you can show it, and only in general terms. Board requirements differ by state and change over time, so state your accreditation and recognition exactly as on your certificate and tell buyers to confirm current requirements with their own board.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
