Retailers · Lead generation

Every is it in stock call is a shopper you could ring back.

Lead generation for a shop is the phone call asking whether a size is in stock, the message asking a price, and the number taken at billing. GullySales sets up how those are answered and recorded, so the store can call somebody back the day the stock lands.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What lead generation means

Lead generation is the combined work of every channel that brings in a new enquiry, whether from search, adverts, referrals or a stall at an exhibition. GullySales runs these channels together and reports the number of enquiries each one produced, not the activity behind it.

For retailers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The out-of-stock call is the lead nobody writes down”

Somebody wanted the thing enough to ring. If nobody takes their number, the sale goes to whichever shop had it on the shelf.

  • “The number at billing is the whole database”

A store writing two thousand bills a month with no numbers has no way of telling anyone that the new stock arrived.

  • “The floor staff are the sales team”

Whether a shopper is asked their size, offered an alternative or walked to the counter is decided by a person, never by a campaign.

  • “A wedding or a school list is a bigger lead”

A family buying for a wedding or a school year buys a great deal at once. That conversation deserves a name, a number and a callback.

What we do

What we deliver for retailers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A short ask at billing that staff will use

The wording, the consent line and where the number goes, kept to a few seconds so no queue builds behind it.

Result: The shop starts owning a list of people who bought.

  2. A stock enquiry register

Every call and message about a size, model or colour you did not have, written down with the number and what was wanted.

Result: You can ring twelve people the day the stock arrives.

  3. Reply rules for calls and direct messages

Who answers, how quickly, what is said about price and stock, and how the conversation ends with a name and a number.

Result: An enquiry stops disappearing into somebody's phone.

  4. A separate route for wedding and bulk buyers

A named person, a promised callback and a simple record for families buying for a wedding, a school year or a new house.

Result: Large baskets get the attention they are worth.

  5. Floor prompts for the things that raise a basket

The two or three questions that lead to a second item, and what to offer when the size on the shelf has run out.

Result: Shoppers leave with more than they came for.

  6. Enquiries and captured numbers reported

Calls, messages, stock enquiries, numbers taken and repeat purchases, held against the count from before any of this existed.

Result: You watch the list grow and get used.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries generated
  • Cost per enquiry
  • Enquiries by source

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Where enquiries come from

The places shoppers reach your store before they walk in, and what to note at each.

The number taken at billing
Record the number with the bill, and a line about what was bought. Say what messages the number will get, and keep it to people who agree.
Calls asking if something is in stock
Write the item, size or colour wanted, the number and when it was asked. This register is the list to ring when the stock arrives.
WhatsApp messages with a product photo
Shoppers send a screenshot from Instagram or a competitor and ask the price. Save the thread by name, reply with price and availability, and invite them in to see it.
Google Maps and Justdial calls
Ask how they found the store and tick the source. Directions and calls from the listing show whether new photographs, hours and reviews are bringing people to the door.
Wedding, school and bulk enquiries
A family buying for a wedding or a school list should be written down at the counter with the date needed and the budget. Name an owner for each, because these are the large baskets.
Instagram direct messages and story replies
Treat a story reply asking about an item as an enquiry. Move it to WhatsApp or a call, take a number, and note which post prompted it.

Who it is for

This is written for these retailers.

  • Electronics and appliance retailers
  • Grocery and kirana stores
  • Home decor and furnishing stores

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the lead generation work runs

  1. 1

    Understand your capacity

We agree how many enquiries your sales team can actually handle well, so the system is not built to overwhelm it.

  2. 2

    Audit current sources

We check what already brings in enquiries today, even informally, before adding anything new.

  3. 3

    Strategise the channel mix

Content, search and paid channels are chosen based on where your buyers already look.

  4. 4

    Implement capture and follow-up

Pages, forms and a follow-up process are built and connected end to end.

  5. 5

    Measure and optimise

We track enquiry volume and quality and adjust the channel mix to match.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Shoppers refuse to give their number at billing.
They refuse a demand, not an offer. Say in one line what it is for and make it optional. A staff member who mentions new stock and festival timings collects far more numbers than one who simply asks.
Somebody wanted a size we did not have. What now?
Take the number, say when it is expected, and ring them the day it lands. That one habit recovers sales most shops write off at the counter.
Should we buy a database of local shoppers' numbers?
No. People on a bought list have never shopped with you, and messaging them without consent can get your number blocked. A smaller list of people who bought from you or asked about stock is worth more. Build it at billing and in the enquiry register.
Who should answer WhatsApp messages when the floor is busy?
One named person per shift, not whoever is free. Give them saved replies for price, stock and timings, and a rule that each chat ends with a name and a number. Floor staff stay with the customers in the store.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
