SaaS and software companies · Content marketing

Write what your champion forwards to the people who decide.

Content for a software company is what moves a deal internally: the business case, the security summary, the rollout plan and a customer story with a number in it. GullySales writes those first and treats search volume as a second question.

A newsstand under a striped awning: three tiers of folded publications racked spine on, one title on the top tier turned to face the street, and a crate of rolled copies at the foot of the stand

What content marketing means

Content marketing is writing articles, guides and pages that answer the questions buyers search before they are ready to enquire. This makes your business visible and trusted before the first call. GullySales plans this content from the free audit onward, choosing topics that match real search demand rather than guesses.

For SaaS and software companies

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • Your champion is presenting you in a room you are not in

The person who likes your product has to explain it to finance and to security, and most companies hand them a feature list.

  • Blogs get written for volume nobody buys at

A monthly post on industry trends reaches readers who will never hold budget, while the deal stalls on a question nobody has written down.

  • One approved customer number beats a year of posts

A story carrying a figure the customer has signed off answers the question every AE gets asked, and few companies your size have three of them.

What we do

What we deliver for SaaS and software companies.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Customer stories with an approved number in them

Interviews with the accounts that renewed, written up with a figure they have signed off, rather than a quote about how helpful everyone was.

Result: Your AEs stop pitching without proof.

  2. A champion pack for the internal case

A business case template, a security summary, an implementation plan and the answers procurement asks for every single time.

Result: The deal moves while you are out of the room.

  3. Comparison and alternative pages

Honest pages against the competitors you actually meet, dated and checked so your reps can send one without reading it through first.

Result: Sales stops rewriting the same email.

  4. A product note customers read

A short, regular note on what changed and why it matters, written for users rather than a changelog copied out of the repository.

Result: Expansion conversations start on their own.

  5. One teardown or webinar a quarter

A live session about the problem rather than the product, with the recording and the follow-up sequence prepared before it runs.

Result: An afternoon produces a quarter of material.

  6. Which asset appeared in a won deal, monthly

Content usage traced through the CRM to the deals that closed, read against the baseline taken before the work started.

Result: You stop writing the pieces nobody sends.

How the result is measured

  • Pages published
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from content pages

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, then reported every month against it.

Who it is for

This is written for these SaaS and software companies.

  • Seed and Series A B2B SaaS still selling founder-led
  • Bootstrapped vertical SaaS with a small team
  • Product-led companies adding a sales motion
  • Developer tools moving upmarket into team plans
  • Healthcare, fintech and other compliance-heavy software
  • Agencies and services firms productising a platform
  • Marketplaces with a supply side to recruit
  • Companies with a full AE bench and no pipeline to feed it
  • Software companies entering the US from another market

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first monthly report.

No open-ended retainer. Each step has a point in time and something you receive.

  1. 01 · Day 1

    Free audit call

45 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. 02 · Within a few working days

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope and fee come with it, in writing.

  3. 03 · Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later month has an honest comparison.

  4. 04 · Month 1

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. 05 · Every month

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words.

  6. 06 · Month 3 to 6

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. No twelve-month lock.

How the work runs for SaaS and software companies

  1. 1

    Assess

In the free audit we trace last quarter's pipeline to its real source, check reply rates and meeting show rate, and look at what happened to inbound signups.

  2. 2

    Stop the inbound leak first

Routing, a first human reply and a call attempt on inbound, because those leads are already paid for and usually the cheapest pipeline in the building.

  3. 3

Build the list and the message

The account list from your closed-won pattern, the sending domains, and a first sequence written around a trigger your prospect would recognise.

  4. 4

    Run outbound and hand over

Sequences worked daily, objections logged, and every qualified meeting handed to your AE with the research already in the CRM record.

  5. 5

    Report on held meetings

Meetings held, cost per meeting and pipeline by source each month, with the sequences that produced nothing retired instead of quietly continuing.

What happened when owners fixed this.

Real clients, the work we did, and the result as it was recorded. Where no number was recorded, none is claimed.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every monthly report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No lock-in, no guarantees we cannot keep

Three to six months at a time. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • Hours that fit your day, agreed up front

Which hours we overlap with yours is settled before any work starts, so you know when a reply is coming and when it is not.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

How many blog posts a month should we publish?
Possibly none. Publish the six pages a deal needs first: the comparisons, the security summary, the business case and two customer stories. A publishing schedule is a way to look busy while the same deal stalls twice.
Our customers will not agree to a case study. Now what?
Take the name out and keep the number, with their sign-off on both. A story about a mid-sized logistics company with the figure intact still works. Ask at renewal, while the value is fresh, rather than at launch.
Is this cheaper than hiring an SDR?
Per month, for most companies, yes. The more useful difference is that the work does not stop when one person resigns. You are also not paying for a quarter of ramp before the first call goes out. Put our fee next to the fully loaded seat cost your finance lead already tracks.
Will your team cold call our US prospects?
Where it fits, and we will tell you where it does not. A cold call from somebody who is not on your payroll is a real objection in US mid-market, and pretending otherwise would waste your money. For most companies we lead with email and LinkedIn, book the call, and put your AE or founder on it.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
Three to six months at a time. There is no twelve-month lock, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile usually show in weeks, because the enquiries already exist. Ads show in days once follow-up is ready. SEO and content take months. The audit tells you which applies to you.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 45 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the monthly review.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Every month is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. Terms run three to six months at a time, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
