SaaS and software companies · Social media

Your founder has reach and your company page does not.

Social media for a software company works through the people at it rather than a company page, and inside the communities where buyers ask each other for recommendations. GullySales drafts for the founder to edit, sets a rule for community participation, and counts conversations rather than followers.

A community noticeboard under a small pitched roof, posters layered four deep, with a fresh notice just pinned over the corner of an older one

What social media means

Social media is the ongoing posting your business does on platforms such as Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn to stay visible to customers and prospects between purchases. GullySales plans a posting calendar, writes captions and designs the images so the page looks active and answers what a visitor would ask.

For SaaS and software companies

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • A company page posts to nobody

The same words from a founder's profile reach the buyers who follow them, while a company account reaches the employees who already work there.

  • Communities punish a brand joining a thread

A Slack group where your buyers swap recommendations turns on a company account and welcomes an engineer answering a question properly.

  • Your buyers' posts are better ground than your own

A useful comment under a target account's post reaches their whole network, which is the audience you were trying to buy anyway.

What we do

What we deliver for SaaS and software companies.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Drafts the founder edits rather than approves

Posts built from what the founder already said on calls and in the product, handed over in their own voice for them to change and publish.

Result: Posting happens without another hour of their week.

  2. A list of the communities your buyers use

The Slack groups, forums and subreddits where your category gets discussed, with each one's rules and what may be said there.

Result: Nobody gets your company banned from the room.

  3. A participation rule for employees

Who posts, what is fair to share about customers and the roadmap, and what never leaves a private channel.

Result: Your team posts without checking with legal each time.

  4. A commenting routine on buyer and partner posts

A daily fifteen minutes on posts published by your target accounts and partners, replying with something worth reading.

Result: You become familiar before the first email.

  5. Customer stories cut down for a feed

The number and the before, lifted out of a case study and rewritten to be understood in eight seconds on a phone.

Result: The proof gets read instead of downloaded.

  6. Conversations counted, not followers

Replies, inbound messages and meetings traced back to posts each month, set against the baseline recorded before the work began.

Result: You learn whether posting is worth the founder's time.

How the result is measured

  • Posts published
  • Engagement rate
  • Enquiries from social profiles

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, then reported every month against it.

Who it is for

This is written for these SaaS and software companies.

  • Seed and Series A B2B SaaS still selling founder-led
  • Bootstrapped vertical SaaS with a small team
  • Product-led companies adding a sales motion
  • Developer tools moving upmarket into team plans
  • Healthcare, fintech and other compliance-heavy software
  • Agencies and services firms productising a platform
  • Marketplaces with a supply side to recruit
  • Companies with a full AE bench and no pipeline to feed it
  • Software companies entering the US from another market

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first monthly report.

No open-ended retainer. Each step has a point in time and something you receive.

  1. 01 · Day 1

    Free audit call

45 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. 02 · Within a few working days

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope and fee come with it, in writing.

  3. 03 · Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later month has an honest comparison.

  4. 04 · Month 1

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. 05 · Every month

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words.

  6. 06 · Month 3 to 6

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. No twelve-month lock.

How the work runs for SaaS and software companies

  1. 1

    Assess

In the free audit we trace last quarter's pipeline to its real source, check reply rates and meeting show rate, and look at what happened to inbound signups.

  2. 2

    Stop the inbound leak first

Routing, a first human reply and a call attempt on inbound, because those leads are already paid for and usually the cheapest pipeline in the building.

  3. 3

Build the list and the message

The account list from your closed-won pattern, the sending domains, and a first sequence written around a trigger your prospect would recognise.

  4. 4

    Run outbound and hand over

Sequences worked daily, objections logged, and every qualified meeting handed to your AE with the research already in the CRM record.

  5. 5

    Report on held meetings

Meetings held, cost per meeting and pipeline by source each month, with the sequences that produced nothing retired instead of quietly continuing.

Proof

What happened when owners fixed this.

Real clients, the work we did, and the result as it was recorded. Where no number was recorded, none is claimed.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every monthly report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No lock-in, no guarantees we cannot keep

Three to six months at a time. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • Hours that fit your day, agreed up front

Which hours we overlap with yours is settled before any work starts, so you know when a reply is coming and when it is not.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Our founder hates posting. What then?
Use somebody else who will do it, or skip the channel. Ghostwritten posts a founder never reads end up sounding like a brochure, and buyers spot it within two posts. This channel does not work without a person willing to hold an opinion.
Should we run paid social as well?
On LinkedIn, by job title and company list, to reach a buyer who will never search for you. Boosting a company post rarely repays itself. Judge it on meetings held, the same as everything else.
Is this cheaper than hiring an SDR?
Per month, for most companies, yes. The more useful difference is that the work does not stop when one person resigns. You are also not paying for a quarter of ramp before the first call goes out. Put our fee next to the fully loaded seat cost your finance lead already tracks.
Will your team cold call our US prospects?
Where it fits, and we will tell you where it does not. A cold call from somebody who is not on your payroll is a real objection in US mid-market, and pretending otherwise would waste your money. For most companies we lead with email and LinkedIn, book the call, and put your AE or founder on it.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
Three to six months at a time. There is no twelve-month lock, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile usually show in weeks, because the enquiries already exist. Ads show in days once follow-up is ready. SEO and content take months. The audit tells you which applies to you.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 45 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the monthly review.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Every month is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. Terms run three to six months at a time, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
