Software development companies · Pay per click advertising

Buy clicks from funded founders, not from students.

PPC for a software firm means paying for the searches a founder or an IT head makes when a build is already budgeted, such as a development partner in a particular domain. GullySales sets the targeting, writes the ads and checks spend against contracts signed.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What pay per click advertising means

Pay per click advertising (PPC) is paying a fee each time someone clicks your advert on Google or another platform. It puts you at the top of a search page immediately, instead of waiting for ranking to build. GullySales sets the targeting, writes the ad text and checks spend against enquiries received.

For software development companies

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Development clicks are among the dearest there are”

Firms across the world bid for the same words, so a budget spread thin buys nothing worth having.

  • “Half the traffic wants to learn, not to hire”

Course, tutorial and source code searches sit next to the buying ones and will empty a daily budget.

  • “An overseas click arrives at two in the morning”

If nobody answers until eleven, the form has to do the qualifying and the reply has to be scheduled.

What we do

What we deliver for software development companies.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Campaigns split by domain and engagement

Separate campaigns for MVP builds, dedicated teams and modernisation, each with its own budget and its own wording.

Result: The work you want more of gets its own money.

  2. A landing page asking scope and funding

A page per campaign ending in a form asking the problem, the timeline, whether funding is in place and who signs.

Result: The first call starts from facts, not a two-line idea.

  3. Negatives against courses, jobs and freelancers

Blocks on course, tutorial, internship, salary and free source code, checked against the terms people actually typed.

Result: Students stop spending the budget before lunch.

  4. Ads that name the domain, not the stack

Ad text about the buyer's problem in his own trade rather than a list of frameworks, so a click comes from a buyer.

Result: Replies come from people with a project.

  5. Time zones written into the plan

Ads scheduled for the hours somebody can reply, with an acknowledgement carrying a booking link for the rest.

Result: An overseas enquiry is never left overnight.

  6. Cost per signed contract, not per click

Spend against enquiries, discovery engagements and signed contracts by campaign, beside the figures recorded before the ads began.

Result: You stop paying for a campaign that only made conversations.

How the result is measured

  • Cost per click
  • Cost per enquiry
  • Enquiries from paid search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Searches to bid on and block

The searches worth paying for as a software company, and the ones to keep out.

Domain build searches, such as hospital management software developer
Bid. A buyer who names a domain has a product in mind and a budget. Show a case from that domain, with the client's permission, and ask for the problem rather than the technology.
Partner searches, such as mobile app development company for startup
Bid, but in a separate campaign. A founder deciding between firms reads every page, so put your approach to scoping and ownership of code at the top, and a booking link for a discovery call.
Hiring searches, such as hire dedicated developers
Bid if you run dedicated teams. State the roles and how a team is managed. Keep it apart from project work so the budget and the sales call can be different.
Cost-research searches, such as how much does an app cost
Treat as research. Send them to a guide page that explains what changes the price, with a form for those who want an estimate, rather than to your call booking page.
Where the click lands
Send each click to a page for that domain or engagement, ending in a form that asks the problem, who decides, the date it must be live and whether funding is in place.
Counting a real enquiry
Count a form with a problem and a funding answer, or a call that books discovery. A student asking for a quote for a college project is not an enquiry, so mark and exclude it.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the pay per click advertising work runs

  1. 1

    Understand the total budget

We agree the full paid advertising budget available across all platforms, rather than planning each one separately.

  2. 2

    Audit current platform performance

We compare existing campaigns on a shared basis to see where the budget currently performs best and worst.

  3. 3

    Build the cross-platform plan

Campaigns are structured across platforms with a shared measurement standard from the outset.

  4. 4

    Implement and monitor

Campaigns run with budget allocated dynamically based on real-time performance.

  5. 5

    Measure and reallocate

We report performance and shift budget toward what is working, within agreed limits.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Should we advertise for overseas clients?
Only where you can answer in their working hours and your case work fits their market. Otherwise the clicks are wasted.
What should we spend to test it?
Enough to run one domain for a month in one market. We put a figure against the contracts you need.
Do we send ad clicks to the portfolio or to a contact page?
Send them to a page for that domain that has a case in it and a form on the same screen. A bare portfolio makes the visitor search for the point, and a bare contact form gives them no reason to trust you.
Should we use Google Ads or LinkedIn to reach IT heads?
Use Google for people searching for a vendor now, and LinkedIn when you want to reach a role at a named kind of company. LinkedIn can cost more per click, so keep it narrow and check what the enquiries become.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
