Used car dealers · Local SEO

Be the lot the map shows when a buyer searches used cars near me.

Local SEO for a used car dealer means appearing in the map result a buyer checks when he looks for used cars nearby, before he opens a single portal. The pin, the photographs of the lot and the reviews decide whether he drives over. GullySales sets up the profile, keeps it current with your stock and cleans up the listings around it.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What local SEO means

Local SEO is the work of making your business show up for searches that name your town or locality, such as a service plus an area name. GullySales sets up locality pages, local citations and map listings so nearby customers find you before a competitor across town.

For used car dealers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The buyer judges the lot from the photographs on the map”

A crowded, dusty yard with cars nose to tail sends him to the next listing. The profile should show the cars, the office and the board as they stand today.

  • “Ten dealers share one stretch of road and one pin”

Used car rows put many lots on one road, and Google may place several on one pin or on the wrong side of the divider. A buyer who cannot find your gate goes to whoever he can find.

  • “The hours on the profile are not the hours the gate opens”

Lots open late, shut on a weekday or close for a festival, and the profile says otherwise. A buyer who arrives at a locked gate leaves a review instead of a deposit.

What we do

What we deliver for used car dealers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A verified profile that matches the signboard

The name, address, phone and category set up exactly as on the board and the GST registration, with the website and the stock page linked.

Result: The profile stops losing ground to a mismatch that is easy to fix.

  2. Photographs of the lot, the office and the cars

Fresh pictures of the frontage, the cars as they stand and the office where papers are signed, replaced as the stock changes.

Result: A buyer sees a real lot before he decides to drive over.

  3. The pin moved to the gate

The pin placed on the actual entrance, with a landmark such as a petrol bunk or a flyover cut written into the description.

Result: A buyer who sets out finds you the first time.

  4. Listings corrected on Justdial and the car portals' dealer pages

Name, address and phone checked on Justdial and on each dealer page, so every listing gives the same details as the profile.

Result: Search engines and buyers see one lot, not three versions of it.

  5. A review habit at the handover

A request made when the keys are handed over, with the link on a card in the key pouch, and a reply written to every review that arrives.

Result: A buyer checking reviews finds recent ones, and a lot that answers.

  6. Calls and directions counted against the baseline

Calls, direction requests and website taps from the profile, recorded before the work starts and compared after.

Result: You see whether the map is sending people to the gate.

How the result is measured

  • Map pack ranking
  • Local search visibility
  • Enquiries by locality

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What Google weighs here

How a nearby buyer's map result is judged at a used car lot, and what to fix first.

Used car dealer as the main category
Pick Used car dealer first. Add Car dealer or Car finance only if that work is done at this address. Do not add Car repair because a workshop sits at the back of the yard.
Distance and where the pin sits
Buyers searching from the road see the nearest lots first. Check the pin sits on your gate and not on the main road or a neighbour's shutter. Fix a wrong pin before anything else.
Prominence: reviews and mentions
Google weighs how well known the lot is. Buyer reviews that name a car and the handover count, and so do your Justdial listing and your dealer pages on the car portals.
Hours that match the gate
Enter the hours the gate is actually open and the day the lot is shut. Set special hours for festival days. A buyer at a locked gate leaves a one-star review.
Name, address and phone everywhere
Copy the name, address and phone from the profile, letter for letter, to Justdial, your website and each dealer page. One different number on one listing splits the calls.
Photographs and posts of current stock
Add pictures of cars that are on the lot now, and post new arrivals with the car and the day it came. Take down the pictures of cars that have sold.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the local SEO work runs

  1. 1

    Audit every listing

We check the Google Business Profile and directory listings for every branch against what should actually be shown.

  2. 2

    Complete and correct

Profiles are filled in fully and inconsistent details are corrected across every directory found.

  3. 3

    Build location pages

Each branch gets a page written for its own area, not a copy of the head office page with the address changed.

  4. 4

    Set up review handling

A simple process for requesting and responding to reviews is put in place with whoever is closest to the customer.

  5. 5

    Report and adjust

Map actions and enquiries per branch are reported, and branches falling behind are prioritised the next month.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

We share a yard with another dealer. Can we both have a profile?
Separate businesses with separate staff and signboards can each have one. If you share a name, a desk or a board, Google may merge them or refuse the second. Check Google's current guidelines before you create it, and never use the other dealer's name.
Can we put the car models in our business name?
No. Use the name on your signboard and GST registration. Adding models or words like best price to the name field breaks Google's guidelines, and the profile may be edited or suspended. Put the models in the services list and the posts instead.
A rival has put a wrong address on a profile with our name. What do we do?
Report it through the profile with your signboard and GST certificate as proof, and photograph your real frontage. The outcome is Google's decision. Meanwhile keep your own profile verified and current, so the correct one stays the stronger.
Should every lot we run have its own profile?
Yes, if buyers can walk in and see cars at that address, with its own phone number, hours and photographs. A yard used only for storage, where nobody is received, does not qualify. Keep names and numbers identical to the website.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
