Used car dealers · Pay per click advertising

Pay for the buyer searching for a car you hold, not for the words used cars.

Pay per click advertising for a used car dealer puts a paid result in front of a buyer searching for a particular car or budget in your city and sends him to that car's page. It works because the stock is real and the buyer is comparing now. GullySales builds campaigns around the cars on your lot and traces each click to a visit and a sale.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What pay per click advertising means

Pay per click advertising (PPC) is paying a fee each time someone clicks your advert on Google or another platform. It puts you at the top of a search page immediately, instead of waiting for ranking to build. GullySales sets the targeting, writes the ad text and checks spend against enquiries received.

For used car dealers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The ad promises a car that has sold”

An ad for one model keeps running after the car goes. The buyer clicks, finds it sold and trusts nothing else on the page. The campaign has to follow the lot, not the other way round.

  • “The cheap click is a student or a broker”

Searches such as used car price list or loan calculator, and the brokers looking for stock, bring people who will never visit. They have to be blocked by name, and the list grows as real search terms arrive.

  • “A call that nobody answers wastes the click”

A buyer who rings from an ad and hears it ring out rings the next dealer on the results page. The ad should run in the hours the phone is attended.

What we do

What we deliver for used car dealers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Campaigns built around the cars on your lot

Separate campaigns for the models you hold, for budget and body-type searches and for your own dealership name, tied to the stock list.

Result: Money goes behind cars that exist today.

  2. A negative list written for this trade

Searches for price lists, loan calculators, scrap, RC status, challans, brokers and jobs blocked, and extended as real search terms come in.

Result: You stop paying for clicks from people who want information, not a car.

  3. A page for each advertised car or group

Each ad leads to the car's own page, or to a group page for the model, with the price, photographs and a button to call or book a visit.

Result: The click lands on the car the buyer searched for.

  4. Ads that stop when the car is sold

A routine that links the ads to the stock list, so a sold car's ad is paused and a new arrival's ad is started.

Result: No buyer clicks through to a car that has gone.

  5. A tracking number and an enquiry register

A phone number for the ads and a column in the register for how each caller found you, so a call can be traced to a visit.

Result: You can see which campaign brought a buyer to the lot.

  6. A report from click to sale

Spend, enquiries, test drives and sales for each campaign, set against the baseline and against the portals' enquiries.

Result: You know what the advertising added to what the portals already brought.

How the result is measured

  • Cost per click
  • Cost per enquiry
  • Enquiries from paid search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Searches to bid on and block

The searches worth paying for at a used car dealer, and the ones to keep out.

A model plus the city, such as second hand Creta in Mysuru
Bid. The buyer is ready to visit. Send him to the page for that car if you hold it, or to the model's group page if you hold several, with price, photographs and a call button.
Budget and body-type searches, such as used automatic hatchback
Bid in separate campaigns by budget and body type. These buyers are open on the model, so send them to a page showing the cars in stock that fit, each with kilometres and owner number.
Your own dealership name and its spellings
Bid in a small campaign. A buyer who heard of you from a friend searches your name, and a portal or a rival can appear above you. Include the common misspellings.
Sell my car, exchange and valuation searches
Bid in a separate campaign, since the seller is a different person who needs a different page. Offer a valuation by visit or by photographs, and say the offer is confirmed after inspection.
Block: price list, loan calculator, scrap, RC status and challan
Add these as negatives, with broker, job, driver, rental and spare parts. They bring people who want information or a part, not a car from your lot.
Counting a real enquiry
Count a call about a named car that somebody answered, or a WhatsApp from the ad. Then count the visit and the test drive. Keep portal enquiries in a separate column to see what the ads added.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the pay per click advertising work runs

  1. 1

    Understand the total budget

We agree the full paid advertising budget available across all platforms, rather than planning each one separately.

  2. 2

    Audit current platform performance

We compare existing campaigns on a shared basis to see where the budget currently performs best and worst.

  3. 3

    Build the cross-platform plan

Campaigns are structured across platforms with a shared measurement standard from the outset.

  4. 4

    Implement and monitor

Campaigns run with budget allocated dynamically based on real-time performance.

  5. 5

    Measure and reallocate

We report performance and shift budget toward what is working, within agreed limits.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Should we bid on a portal's name or a rival dealer's name?
Not as a first step. Buyers who type a portal's name want the portal, so you pay for a click that goes nowhere. Bidding on a rival's name may also breach the platform's trademark rules, which change, so check them first. Bid on your own name and the cars you hold.
Call-only ads or a form?
Start with calls, since a used car buyer wants to ask about the car now and a form often collects a number nobody answers on time. Add a form and a WhatsApp link for the evening searcher. Count either as an enquiry only when a person spoke to him.
Which cars should we advertise first?
The ones that have sat longest and that buyers search by name, such as a popular hatchback or a diesel SUV. Read the days-in-stock list before you choose. A car nobody searches for needs a better price or a better photograph, not an ad.
How do we tell which calls came from the ad?
Put a tracking number on the ad and the landing page, and ask every caller how he found you and write it in the register. Mark a call as an enquiry only if it was about a named car, then match it to test drives and sales.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
