Used car dealers · Search engine optimisation

Rank for the car on your lot and the buyer's budget, not for the words used cars.

SEO for a used car dealer decides whose page a buyer opens when he searches for a model, a body type or a budget in his own city. The portals hold the make and model searches; your page can win on the specific car you have today and the town you sell in. GullySales builds the stock pages, the locality pages and the fixes that let them be found.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What search engine optimisation means

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the work of getting your website to appear when a buyer searches Google for what you sell. GullySales builds pages around real search terms, fixes technical issues that block ranking, and tracks which searches actually bring enquiries.

For used car dealers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “A sold car's page is a dead end”

A listing that stays up after the car has gone sends a buyer to a car he cannot see, and he does not stay for the next one. The page should say sold and point to the nearest similar car on the lot.

  • “The portals outrank you on every make”

CarDekho, Cars24 and Spinny hold the plain model searches. A dealer wins on the town, the budget and the exact car, which is why the registration year and the locality belong in the heading.

  • “A brochure photograph says nothing about this car”

Buyers and search engines both look for what only this car has: kilometres, owner number, insurance validity and the photograph of the dent. A page built on a manufacturer's picture ranks no better than the portal.

What we do

What we deliver for used car dealers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A page for every car in stock

Make, model, variant, registration year, kilometres, owner number, insurance validity and fuel on each page, with your own photographs and a short honest note on condition.

Result: A buyer searching for that exact car lands on your page instead of the portal's.

  2. Sold cars kept up and pointed on

A routine that marks a sold car's page as sold and links to the nearest similar car on the lot, instead of deleting it or leaving it up as if it were available.

Result: Old searches still end at a car you can sell.

  3. Budget and body-type pages

Pages for the searches buyers type by budget, body type and fuel, such as a diesel SUV or an automatic hatchback, each listing the cars you hold in that group.

Result: A buyer who has not chosen a model yet finds your lot.

  4. Locality pages written from your delivery list

Pages for the areas where your own buyers live, built from where cars have been delivered rather than from a map of the whole city.

Result: A buyer nearby sees a dealer who already sells in his area.

  5. A technical check of the stock site

Page speed on a phone, links to cars that were sold, two pages for one car and photographs too heavy to load on mobile data.

Result: Good car pages are no longer held back by a fault nobody noticed.

  6. A report by page against the baseline

Search visits and enquiries for each stock page, budget page and locality page, set against the baseline recorded before work starts.

Result: You see which pages bring visits and which cars nobody looks at.

How the result is measured

  • Ranking positions
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from organic search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Searches your buyers type

What a buyer types before visiting a used car dealer, and the page that answers it.

second hand Swift in Pune
A stock page for that car with registration year, kilometres, owner number and your own photographs. Say what is wrong with it as plainly as what is right, and give the lot's address.
second hand hatchback under 5 lakh near me
A budget page listing the hatchbacks on your lot now. Take a car off the day it is sold, because the buyer is comparing four dealers and will not forgive a car that has gone.
is it safe to buy a used car from a dealer
A page on how you check a car before listing it: RC, insurance, service records and the odometer. Describe your own checks and show a sample report. Claim no inspection certificate unless one was actually issued.
RC transfer and NOC for a used car
A page on the paperwork: who applies, what the buyer signs and what you hold until the transfer is done. Rules differ by state, so tell the buyer to confirm the details with the local RTO.
car loan for a second hand car
A finance page naming the banks and NBFCs you work with and the documents they ask for. Quote no rate. Say that it depends on the lender and on the buyer's own papers.
sell my old car near me
A page for owners who want to sell or exchange. Say what you look at, how the valuation is given and that the offer is confirmed after inspection. It brings stock as well as buyers.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the search engine optimisation work runs

  1. 1

    Audit and baseline

We record where the site stands today: positions, traffic, technical faults and the enquiries search currently produces. Nothing starts until this number is written down.

  2. 2

    Decide what to rank for

We map the searches your buyers use, in your words and theirs, and pick the ones worth the effort for your margin and your capacity.

  3. 3

    Fix the foundations

Technical faults first, because the cheapest gains are usually there. Then the Business Profile and directory consistency.

  4. 4

    Build the pages

A page for each thing you do, written to answer the question it is searched for, with a clear next step at the end.

  5. 5

    Publish and earn mentions

Content goes out on the calendar. Links and mentions are earned from real relationships, not bought.

  6. 6

    Measure, report, adjust

At the interval agreed at the start we report what moved and what did not, and change the plan when the numbers say so.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Should every car on the lot have its own page?
Yes, while it is in stock, with the registration year, kilometres, owner number and real photographs. After the sale keep the page up marked sold, linking to similar cars, so a search for that model still lands somewhere you control.
Do we need a blog about buying a used car?
Write a few pages, not a blog. Answer the questions buyers ask before they trust a dealer: how to read a service history, what an RC transfer involves, what your warranty covers. End each page with a car on your lot to go and see.
Can we list the same cars on the portals and on our own site?
Yes, but write your own description for your site. Copying the portal's text puts the same words on two pages and neither stands out. Keep price, kilometres and owner number identical everywhere, because buyers compare them and notice a difference.
Which areas should we write locality pages for?
Only the areas where buyers can drive to your lot and where you hold cars they would want. Take them from your own delivery records, not from a list of every neighbourhood. A page for a place you never sell to ranks and wastes the click.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
