Used car dealers · WhatsApp marketing

Send the walk-around video when the buyer asks for it, not a forwarded price list.

For a used car dealer, WhatsApp is where a buyer asks for more photographs, the kilometres and the price before he decides to visit. It is also where a broadcast of every car on the lot gets muted. GullySales sets up the business number, the replies and the permission to message past buyers, and keeps stock updates short.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What WhatsApp marketing means

WhatsApp marketing is sending updates, offers and reminders to customers on the app most Indian buyers already check daily. GullySales sets up business WhatsApp, writes the message templates and keeps the list consented and current.

For used car dealers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The buyer asks for more photographs and the answer takes a day”

A buyer from a portal writes send more pictures. The dealer who sends a walk-around video and the service history within minutes gets the visit.

  • “A broadcast of every car on the lot gets muted”

Sending the whole stock to everyone who ever enquired turns the number into noise. Send each person the two cars that fit what he asked about.

  • “A salesman's own number holds the customer list”

When he leaves, his enquiries, photographs and chats leave with him. The business number and the record belong to the dealership.

What we do

What we deliver for used car dealers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A business profile with the lot's address and hours

The profile set up on the number printed on the board, with the address, opening days and website, replacing the salesman's own handset.

Result: Buyers message the dealership, whoever is on duty.

  2. A catalogue of cars in stock, with a sold marker

Each car listed with photographs, price, kilometres and owner number, and marked sold the day it goes.

Result: A buyer sees only cars he can actually come and see.

  3. Saved replies for the questions every buyer asks

Ready answers on kilometres, owner number, insurance, loan and whether he can see the car today, each ending with an offer of a time.

Result: The reply goes out in seconds and says something about the car.

  4. A walk-around video sent on request

A short film of the car, kept ready for each car on the lot, sent when a buyer asks for more pictures.

Result: The buyer who wanted more photographs gets the answer he was after.

  5. Permission recorded once, and a stop reply

A question asked at enquiry or purchase about messages on new arrivals, the answer saved in the register, and a stop request honoured at once.

Result: You can show who agreed to hear from you.

  6. Chats counted against the enquiry baseline

Messages, replies and visits that began on WhatsApp, tracked beside calls and portal enquiries.

Result: You see what the number brings next to the phone.

How the result is measured

  • Messages delivered
  • Reply rate
  • Enquiries from WhatsApp

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What must be in place first

What a used car dealer sets up before sending a single stock update on WhatsApp.

Opt-in from the buyer
Record who agreed to hear about cars, and when, in the enquiry register. A tick on the enquiry form or a yes in reply to your message counts. A number copied from a portal does not.
A business profile on a number the dealership owns
Register the profile with the address, hours and website. Use the number on the signboard, not a salesman's personal handset, so the chats stay when staff change.
Templates for a sold car and a new arrival
Write two short messages: one telling a buyer that the car he asked about has gone and offering two like it, and one for a car that fits his earlier enquiry. Check WhatsApp's current policy on templates.
Who pays for the conversation
Business messages can carry charges depending on who starts them and what they are. Check WhatsApp's current business policy and pricing before you send to a list.
A way to stop
Every promotional message tells the buyer how to opt out, and a stop reply is saved the same day. Do not message a number that said stop, even for a new arrival.
A person who replies
Name one person at the lot to answer the chat during opening hours with the stock list open. A bot that cannot say whether a car is still here costs you the visit.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the whatsapp marketing work runs

  1. 1

    Understand current WhatsApp use

We review how customers currently message you and how consistently, if at all, it is answered.

  2. 2

    Audit common questions

We identify the questions that come up repeatedly, which decide what should be automated first.

  3. 3

    Set up automation and templates

An automated first response and quick reply templates are built for the most common needs.

  4. 4

    Connect to the CRM

Conversations are linked to customer records so context carries over between team members.

  5. 5

    Measure and optimise

We track response time and conversion, refining automated responses based on what customers actually ask.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Can we put all past buyers on a broadcast list?
Only those who agreed to hear from you, with the agreement recorded when they bought or enquired. A list built from old contacts draws reports and blocks, and a reported number delivers less. Ask in the delivery message and honour a stop at once.
Is the free business app enough, or do we need the API?
The free app suits a small lot: it sends to people who saved your number, in small batches. The API allows approved templates and several staff on one number, but it carries charges. Check WhatsApp's current business policy and pricing, and move only when volume needs it.
Should we make a WhatsApp group of buyers?
Avoid it. A group shows every member's number to the others, invites brokers to join and cannot carry a private price conversation. Use one-to-one messages and a catalogue, and put new arrivals on your status.
A salesman uses his own number with buyers. How do we stop it?
Give him the business number on a second handset or the web login, and make that the only number on the cars and the board. Save each buyer's number in the dealership register on the day of the enquiry, so no chat lives on one phone alone.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
