Corporate gifting and gift businesses · Pay per click advertising

Spend in August and September, not evenly across the year.

Pay per click advertising for a gifting business buys the corporate briefs that appear in a short window before each occasion, and the retail searches around Rakhi and Diwali. GullySales splits the two, keeps the individual buyer out of the corporate budget, and tracks which click produced a brief.

What pay per click advertising means

Pay per click advertising (PPC) is paying a fee each time someone clicks your advert on Google or another platform. It puts you at the top of a search page immediately, instead of waiting for ranking to build. GullySales sets the targeting, writes the ad text and checks spend daily against enquiries received.

For corporate gifting and gift businesses

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • The corporate window is about eight weeks

Diwali briefs arrive from August and most are placed by October. A budget spread evenly over twelve months misses the weeks that decide the year.

  • One brief can pay for the season

A three hundred hamper order justifies a click cost that would be reckless for a single birthday gift. Bid that way only on the corporate words.

  • Individual buyers eat a corporate budget

A search for a gift for my wife lands on the same keywords as corporate gifts. Those visitors belong in a retail campaign or nowhere.

  • A marketplace enquiry is not a search click

IndiaMART briefs go to six vendors at once. Somebody who searched and clicked has usually written her brief already.

What we do

What we deliver for corporate gifting and gift businesses.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Corporate and retail kept as separate campaigns

One set for HR, admin and procurement searches, another for Rakhi, Valentine's Day and wedding gifting, each with its own budget and landing pages.

Result: The corporate budget stops paying for one-off gift buyers.

  2. A season schedule in place of a flat monthly budget

Spend concentrated from July through October, with smaller pushes before New Year, Pongal and each retail occasion.

Result: Money is in the market while briefs are being written.

  3. Bidding on quantity and budget searches

Campaigns built for the searches that name a per head budget or a quantity, because those are the ones that become a brief.

Result: You pay most for the search closest to an order.

  4. Negative keywords for the wrong buyer

Single gift, birthday, personal, wholesale supplier, franchise and job searches kept out of the corporate campaigns.

Result: The budget follows people who buy in hundreds.

  5. Landing pages that ask the brief questions

A page per occasion with budget bands, branding options and lead times, and a form asking quantity, date and spend per head.

Result: The enquiry arrives already half qualified.

  6. Brief value reported against spend

Clicks, enquiries, briefs qualified and orders won for each campaign, weighed against the enquiry count from before the adverts ran.

Result: You know what a Diwali brief cost to buy.

How the result is measured

  • Cost per click
  • Cost per enquiry
  • Enquiries from paid search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, then reported every month against it.

How the work runs for corporate gifting and gift businesses

  1. 1

    Assess

We look at where orders come from, how the year's revenue is spread, how briefs are answered and how many buyers return.

  2. 2

    Define who to chase

Ideal customer profiles, buyer personas and qualification criteria, so effort goes to companies that will order.

  3. 3

    Build the proposal kit

Proposals by budget and occasion, a vendor registration pack and sample terms, ready before the season.

  4. 4

    Start early

Prospecting and outreach months before Diwali and other occasions, plus year-round campaigns for kits and events.

  5. 5

    Keep the accounts

An account calendar and reactivation routine, so this year's buyer orders again next year.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Should we pay for IndiaMART as well as Google?
Keep the listing if somebody replies within the hour, because those buyers message six vendors at once. Put the money meant to buy a serious brief into search, where the buyer chose to come to you.
How much should we hold back for the retail season?
Enough to cover the fortnight before Rakhi and the fortnight before Diwali, when the walk-in and online buying happens. We set the split at the audit, after looking at what each side earned last year.
When should we start selling for Diwali?
Start conversations in July and send proposals by August. Many companies set their gifting budget and shortlist well before the festival, and late vendors compete only on price.
Should we send free samples?
Yes, to qualified briefs. Confirm budget, quantity, date and who decides before sending, and agree whether the sample is returned or adjusted against the order.
How long is the contract?
Three to six months at a time. There is no twelve-month lock, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile usually show in weeks, because the enquiries already exist. Ads show in days once follow-up is ready. SEO and content take months. The audit tells you which applies to you.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 45 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the monthly review.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Every month is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. Terms run three to six months at a time, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
