Dermatology clinics · Review generation

Ask the right patient, at the counter, for the kind of review you are allowed to have.

Review generation for a dermatology clinic is the mechanics of getting one written: who asks, at what moment, in what words, and with what link. Skin work makes that ask more delicate than in most trades. GullySales sets up the routine and checks the wording before it goes out.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What review generation means

In a clinic or practice a review is a public statement by a patient, and asking for one is restricted or unwise in several regulated professions. Review generation here is proof that does not depend on a patient writing in public: the professional listing kept accurate, the note back to the referring doctor, and a reply that never confirms somebody was a patient. GullySales sets that up and tracks what arrives without soliciting it.

Last updated 5 Oct 2026. Rules for this trade differ by state and professional body, and they change. We describe restrictions in general terms, so check the current position with your own council or adviser before you publish anything.

For dermatology clinics

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “A review of the visit is not a testimonial about the result”

Medical advertising rules restrict how patient testimonials and treatment outcomes may be used in promotion. They are not the same everywhere and they change, and it is the doctor's registration at stake. Ask your council or your compliance adviser what applies to you before anybody scripts a request.

  • “Who you ask matters more than how many you ask”

A patient treated for hair loss, vitiligo or a concern they have told nobody about will not put their name under it in public, and should not be pushed. The acne patient who is pleased with her skin will. Pick the list by hand.

  • “The ask belongs at the billing counter, not in the consulting room”

A patient asked by the dermatologist who just treated them cannot comfortably refuse. The person handing over the aftercare sheet can ask, with a code on the counter, and the patient can ignore it without any awkwardness at all.

What we do

What we deliver for dermatology clinics.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A request the doctor has read and signed off

Wording that invites a patient to describe their visit and the care they received, checked against what your adviser says you may solicit and publish.

Result: The desk asks in words the clinic can stand behind.

  2. A code at the counter and a short link on the clinic number

A scan code where the patient is already standing with a phone, and the same link sent from the clinic's own WhatsApp number rather than a staff member's.

Result: A willing patient is two taps from writing it.

  3. A short list of who is asked, and who is never asked

Agreed with you by concern rather than by treatment value, so nobody at the desk has to judge whether a patient would mind being asked.

Result: No patient is put in an uncomfortable position by a junior.

  4. One reminder, and then it is dropped

A single follow-up to a patient who agreed and then forgot, after which the name comes off the list and is not asked again.

Result: Asking never turns into nagging.

  5. Asks counted against reviews received

A running tally of requests made and reviews actually written, so a desk that has quietly stopped asking shows up in the numbers.

Result: You know whether the habit survived the first busy week.

How the result is measured

  • Reviews received
  • Average rating
  • Response rate to requests

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Asking patients for reviews

Ask about the clinic visit once the patient reaches the counter, and leave the treatment and the skin result out of it.

Consultations and follow-ups, not procedure days
Ask after a plain consultation or follow-up rather than after a laser sitting or a peel, when the skin is still sore or red. Write down which visits qualify.
Ask about the service, not the skin
Suggest the patient mention the waiting time, the explanation they were given and how the staff treated them. Results, before photos and outcome claims stay out of the request.
One-to-one message, never a group
Send the review link as a private message from the clinic number. A skin concern is personal, and a group or broadcast list can expose who has been a patient.
The doctor reads the wording once
The dermatologist approves the request text. Rules on advertising for doctors differ by state and body and change, so check with your own council before it goes out.
Replies that confirm nothing
Reply to any review, kind or harsh, without naming the treatment or confirming that the person came. Invite them to call, and keep the case details off the page.
Patients who asked for discretion
Some come for hair, pigmentation or intimate concerns and want privacy. Never ask them, and never name the concern in a thank-you message or a reply.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is reply time, a follow-up sequence, the page buyers land on or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the review generation work runs

  1. 1

    Understand the customer journey

We identify one fixed point in your service, such as handover or checkout, where every customer is asked in the same way.

  2. 2

    Read your current reviews

We read every review you have, count how many were answered, and note what customers praise in their own words.

  3. 3

    Set up the ask process

Templates and a simple sending process are built into your existing customer communication.

  4. 4

    Implement responses

Every incoming review, positive or negative, is responded to by the routine set down in writing after we have spoken to you.

  5. 5

    Measure and adjust

We track review volume and rating trend and adjust the ask timing if response rates are low.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Can we offer a discount on the next sitting for a review?
We would not. Paying for a review breaches the rules of every major platform and can be removed. For a clinic there is a second problem: an inducement offered to a patient sits in restricted territory, the position differs and changes, and your compliance adviser is the one to answer it.
A patient wrote a lovely review naming her treatment. Can we put it on the website?
Do not assume so. A review sitting on a public profile and the same words reproduced in your own promotion are treated differently, and using a patient's account of a treatment result is exactly what the restrictions cover. Get that one cleared before it goes on a page.
Should we thank every reviewer in public?
A short, general thank-you is fine, but write each one by hand and keep it free of treatment names or anything that confirms the person was a patient. A copied reply under every review looks mechanical. Skip replying where a name would give the visit away.
Which platform should we ask patients to use?
Ask for Google, since a patient looking for a skin clinic nearby sees it first. If you are also listed on a doctor directory, check that platform's current rules before asking there. Asking one patient to write on two pages feels like pressure.
How is marketing for a dermatology clinic different from a general hospital?
Patients search by named treatment, such as acne scar treatment or vitiligo treatment. They decide largely on visible proof, doctor qualification and photo trust, rather than on the hospital's general reputation. The pages, reviews and reply process need to be built around specific concerns rather than one general services listing.
Do we need ads or SEO for a dermatology clinic?
Most clinics benefit first from a complete Google Business Profile and a fast WhatsApp reply, which cost nothing in media. Ads make sense for cosmetic procedures such as laser hair removal or anti-ageing treatment, where you want bookings filled this month. SEO then works alongside them for enquiries that keep arriving once the spend stops.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
